What about a distinction between what is necessary to achieve gender transition versus what is necessary because of gender transition? For those who have had vagioplasty, they have basically an ongoing open wound that has to be properly dealt with or else there is a risk of infection and death.

The amendment could have been better written IMO. There should be no money for helping someone to transition, but a case by case basis for meeting the actual health needs of people who have already transitioned.

To a certain extent that is correct, but IMHO, it wouldn't be the biggest factor.

- Mike Rogers has name recognition, which is one of the biggest factors for the ignorant voting masses.

- At the end of Amash's term in Congress, he let TDS get the best of him, and ended up categorized with Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger. He switched to the Libertarian Party. This was a GOP primary, and if the voters remembered anything at all, it was that Amash wasn't exactly your standard Republican, and certainly not a Trump guy.

I think that ongoing robbing of the taxpayer to cover self inflicted wounds for the mentally ill is socialism, and subsidizing perversion and insanity.
The injury was not the result of every day accident or combat, it never should have been paid for to do it, and it absolutely shouldn't be covered for the ongoing problems they caused themselves.

They get mental illness discharges and can pay for their own folly or solicit charity, they don't get to use government guns to rob us further.
