    The sarcasm.

"Congratulations Freedom Caucus for one and 105 Rep who expel our own for the other," Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., said on X. "I can assure you Republican voters didn't give us the majority to crash the ship. Hopefully no one dies."

Serve in new ways means either paid corporate board position or lobbyist. That is the norm. And nobody is shocked he is leaving.

He should vacate his seat now instead of after a couple more weeks.

McCarthy shocker: to vacate his seat this month
Not a "shocker" at all. FTA:
McCarthy's departure had long been anticipated since his ouster [...]
Not long after McCarthy was removed as speaker, I remember seeing things (maybe some of them posted here, in one of the relevant threads) to the effect that he was indicating he wouldn't be sticking around.

He used to be a conductor, but now he's just one of the fiddles. It's embarrassing. So why should he want to stick around after "losing face" like that?

Looks like up to 154 days (140 days + 2 weeks) for the election, then however long after that until the winner is officially seated. FTA:
But the seat will be vacant for months. California state law says that after a vacancy occurs, the governor must set a special election within two weeks. The special election must be conducted 126 to 140 days after the governor’s proclamation.

Of course! I mean, after all, we're not some corrupt and undemocratic second- or third-world country like Argentina or Brazil, where they just do that sort of thing in a single day.

There will be more RINO resignations.
They are going to give the majority to the Dems for undivided communist government.

Why? Are you seriously saying you think there's an appreciable difference between Democrats and RINOs?

He's going through the revolving door into a private sector job where no one gets to hear what his salary is. He betrayed us, now he gets way, way more than thirty pieces of silver.

I know that's too logical, simple and obvious for you. But I'm running with it anyway. No, not anyway. That's why I'm running with it.

I don't think it's a shocker that he's leaving but to just vacate Mid-Term is rather unorthodox.

I also think he is a Trump VP possibility and RNC Chair possibility

I predict they will be taking jobs with the lobbyists that they worked for while in Congress.

I am just glad that the corrupt Republican politicians are feeling uncomfortable enough to leave.

    There is an appreciable difference.
RINOs have to keep up a facade of being slightly better for their voters, and more importantly they are subject to political blackmail by the MAGA people like Gaetz.
Once they give the Dems the majority (for back room payoffs) Gaetz will not be able to vacate the chair as a way to limit what is allowed.

They helped the Dems expel Santos because they are going to give them the majority and remove all brakes on the Brandon tyranny, that's why he is leaving midterm, the Dems will have full control at least until the special elections can be held and if they can win enough of the special elections they will have it for the rest of the term.
This is not good in any way.

GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley has accepted a boatload of money from a top Biden supporter, a donation thatís part of the Democrats' strategy to back Republicans other than Donald Trump.

The bagman is Reid Hoffman, founder of the LinkedIn professional networking website, and more likely to come from other Democrats. And not just billionaires.

The move suggests that Democrats are terrified that Trump will become the GOP nominee and defeat the increasingly senile Joe Biden, whose impulsive acts, rages, stumbles, false memories, and increasing disappearances into Cloud Cuckoo Land suggest that he isnít really running the country.

Biden, indeed, is behind in the polls. Then again, so are Haley and Trumpís closest competitor, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Thus, the move for Democrats to pump money into Anyone but Trump.

Just keep ignoring the fact that Democrats don't see any "appreciable difference", and are willing to back that up with more money than you've ever seen.

The appreciable difference is to US, not to them.
That's the point, that's why the RINOs are perfectly happy to give the majority to the Dems to spite us.
And that is exactly what they are in the process of doing and thtat's why Santos was expelled.

Who is this mythical "us" you keep talking about?

News flash: If it makes no appreciable difference to them, then it clearly doesn't help them grab, increase or consolidate power, because we all know power is something they really, really appreciate. And that means all this is a psyop designed to keep you out of trouble. Therefore, it makes no appreciable difference to me.

    Right? Duh.

Stop using the word "us" when talking to me. There is no "us".

It makes an appreciable difference to all liberty lovers, I'll happily leave you out of that category.
It makes an appreciable difference to the Demoncrats who will have total control without even the weak resistance the RINOs put up to keep people donating and voting.
I made that clear all along and it is self evident.
The only people it makes no appreciable difference to are the RINOs, I granted you that, that's why they are willing to do it and are in the process of doing it.

It makes a difference to people stupid enough to think the RINO neocons, the people who stuffed the Patriot Act and FISA Courts down our throats, could possibly be anything vaguely resembling helpful to the cause of liberty. That's definitely not a group that includes me, no, no matter how you describe them.

You are so slow to adapt. News flash! The Fed prints all the Demonrats want, and they print their own ballots too. Hello? What rock have you been hiding from? That's a serious and real Financial Trend, how did you completely miss it?

Think so? These people don't care. They'll start voting for them as soon as they get their capital D. Just like you, and your own refusal to fall madly and hopelessly in love with Trump until he got rid of the capital D he wore since before you were born.

Totalitarian warmongers are only the problem if they wear the wrong scarlet letter. In whose universe?

You know you're just like them, right? Different flavor, same bubblegum. And while they're brainlessly supporting their team and winding up broke and/or dead, what are the RINOs rewarding you with for your support, and your lovelorn attempts to get them to stay?

Waaah! We have to keep the worst elements in the Party because quantity > quality!! This on a forum created to celebrate the congressman with the record for spoiling the most unanimous bills of any in history. 434-1. 434-1. 434-1. Music to our ears.

I know. You don't want to be confused with facts, you've made up your so-called mind. But you keep coming here...
