"Far-right"? Well, then - no "fiery but mostly peaceful" for you!

Riots in Dublin after stabbing near school - as police car and buses set on fire during 'far-right' protests
Officers and rioters are clashing in Ireland's capital as anger grows following the attack in Parnell Square East - which left three young children and two adults injured.

Police have said a "complete hooligan lunatic faction driven by far-right ideology" is behind violent protests in Dublin after three young children were injured in a stabbing outside a primary school.

Rioters have let off flares and fireworks at police as one of the children, a five-year-old girl, and a woman in her 30s are being treated in hospital for serious injuries.

Officers with riot shields are holding back crowds in the city centre where a police car and two double-decker buses have been set on fire amid anger over the stabbings in Parnell Square East.

A fire has also broken out inside a damaged Luas tram as violence continues on O'Connell Street in Dublin city centre.

Sky News' Ireland correspondent Stephen Murphy has seen people looting a Foot Locker store in the city during the chaos. He has also seen people smashing the front of an Asics store with metal bars.

Rioters are attempting to kick and punch police and there are ongoing scuffles, with bottles being thrown.

A Garda public order unit has been deployed to control the disorder.

Police believe stabbing was 'standalone attack'

A suspect has been detained in relation to the stabbings and police have said they are not treating the attack as terror-related.

However, the force added they are not "ruling out any motive".

In a press conference earlier, Superintendent Liam Geraghty told the media the five-year-old girl was receiving "emergency medical treatment" after the stabbings. He also said the stabbing spree appeared to be a "standalone attack".

A five-year-old boy, a six-year-old girl and a man in his 50s were treated in hospital for less serious injuries, SI Geraghty said. The boy was later discharged from the Children's Health Ireland at Crumlin Hospital.

People urged to ignore 'misinformation' after 'serious violence'

Following the rioting, Garda Commissioner Drew Harris has told journalists outside Mountjoy Garda Station: "I think there's disgraceful scenes in terms of a major investigation, the maintenance of a scene and the gathering of evidence.

"We have a complete lunatic hooligan faction driven by far-right ideology, and also then this disruptive tendency engaged in serious violence.

"We are drafting in resources to deal with that and that will be dealt with properly. I've given full direction to our resources here in respect of making arrests and bringing offenders to justice.

"It's our responsibility to make sure that we police the streets, and part of that is we ask people to act responsibly and not to listen to the misinformation and rumour that is circulating on social media.

"The facts are being established, but the facts are still not clear on a lot of the rumour and the innuendo is being spread for malevolent purposes."

'A thuggish and manipulative element' blamed for riots

In a statement, Irish justice minister Helen McEntee said: "The horrific attack today in Dublin city centre was an appalling crime that has shocked us all.

"An Garda Siochana are following a definite line of inquiry and are not looking for anyone else regarding this crime. The perpetrator will be brought to justice.

"However, the scenes we are witnessing this evening in our city centre cannot and will not be tolerated.

"A thuggish and manipulative element must not be allowed use an appalling tragedy to wreak havoc."

'Eyewitnesses played a huge role' in stopping stabbing

Sky's Murphy said witnesses have told police they saw a man, who was reportedly wielding a knife, "attack several young people" as they left school during the stabbings earlier.

The school is an Irish-speaking primary school where all students would do lessons in Irish.

"It appears that bystanders and eyewitnesses have played a huge role in bringing this incident to a halt," Murphy said.

"Witnesses have spoken of seeing several bystanders become involved to try and intervene and restrain this man."

He described Parnell Square as an extremely busy area "right in the heart of Dublin city".

Mary Lou McDonald, leader of Ireland's opposition party Sinn Fein and a representative of Dublin Central, told Sky News: "The community is numbed and horrified.

"This is the last thing you expect to happen on a Thursday afternoon in the middle of Dublin city.

"It's a great school community and people's hearts are with the children who have been traumatised and those who have been injured."

In a post on social media website X, Ms Mcdonald also named the school affected as Gael Cholaiste Mhuire.

Notice how the Media outlets refuse to say that what led the riots was by that attacker that attacked three children.

Media outlets in some Euporean Countries will refuse to even name or say that it was done by a migrant.

My heart breaks for Ireland... for Europe... and for all of Western Civilization.

As a descendent of an Irishman who left Belfast in 1729 to go to America and forge a better life for him and is decedents, and as someone who has been fortunate enough to have lived in Ireland for 4.5 months back in the 90's, this is just awful to see.

After an incident at a school that sent several to the hospital, massive riots have broken out in Dublin, Ireland. It seems the news is not telling the full story of the incident, despite the information being readily available. But now the media, politicians, and police are all reporting this is because of the far right. But now former UFC champion Conor McGregor has taken to twitter / X to call out all those involved. But why does it take a MMA fighter / Boxer to talk about solutions that isn't simply blaming the Irish?

Irish politicians must be calling for strict knife control after this incident.

What did they put in the Irish water?
I was always under the impression that the Irish were a proud people that fought for what they thought was right.

What do you think they're doing?

Do you believe the MSM when they say that these people are just rioting because they miss old Adolph?

I am surprised the Irish let it get to this point.

USA cannot have a solution because they create and lead the problems.

You're not giving Klaus Schwab and his merry band of krauts enough credit.

And of course the government has a "solution". They created the problem and provoked the reaction just so they'd have an excuse to implement their "solution".

I fear they will be J6ing all these Irish protestors... probably already been in touch with biden's gestapo for advice.
Do Ireland's police typically carry guns? Do they do raids/SWAT like in (corrupted) America?

and what the hell is with this term "Garda"? Why (and since when?) do they call their cops "garda" and put them in such gay uniforms?

MSM/Mainstream Media are doing more to protect the attacker who likely even had a past criminal record.
Once again the media is defending the Attacker but not the victims.

Who do you think the media is going after? the attacker or the rioters? the rioters.

Xenophobic rumors about stabbing attack fuel far-right riots

The cost-of-living crisis in Ireland has fueled recent anti-immigrant protests and acts of violence, with a group of men violently attacking an encampment inhabited by migrants from several countries earlier this year. Such incidents have also led thousands of Irish people to march this year in support of the immigrant community.

The far left groups in Ireland supporting the Migrant encampment camps despite the rising costs of living. I wonder how long they would be supporting more of the Migrant encampment in their communities?

    Until the funding run out?
This article had not condemned the attacker instated they criticized the rioters.

Watch how some outlets in Ireland would be protecting the identity of the suspect.
