It's been my experience that this generation has a spending problem not an earning problem. They can't manage their expenses. They have to have 20 different monthly online subscriptions, the latest new phone every year, eat out every meal, multiple vacations every year.

Yep. Their understanding is messed up on both the spending and earning side. A lifetime of socialist propaganda can do that to you.

On the earning side, the money they receive is completely disconnected in their minds from the value they provide. Want more money? Provide more value to other people.

On the spending side, they have no concept of "or", only "and". They haven't been told about opportunity costs. You value one purchase over what you have to give up on something else. But once they spend the money on one thing, it's completely out of their minds for what they lost for the next thing. So they have to blame something...

And in these comments, it is asked over and over again:

"How much more can people take of this?"

    The answer: not much more.

The die has been cast, a whole generation have been taught that Marxism is the answer.

10 million invaders have entered the country just in the last few years, to act as ground troops.

Domestic ethnics have been weaponized against us.

It's only a matter of time before the final, violent, phase of this revolution is kicked into gear.

Failure to organize and resist, with force, will lead to a genocide after the new regime takes power.

People that paid tremendous amount of money to get a degree that is worthless was a waste of $$ and time. Blame yourself if you went to school for something that pays terrible.

You know it's kinda hard to be sympathetic knowing that this kind of person was probably celebrating getting those stimmies.

But, on the flip side, it seems like a great learning opportunity for them. "Oh, you're struggling??? Maybe you should think about what happens when government spends your money for you??!"

Yeah, color me unsympathetic. I couldn't afford a car when I was younger so I didn't have one. I rode the bus to work. It's true what they say, it does build character. When I moved to the swing shift in the machine shop so I could pull an extra fifty cents an hour, I couldn't ride the bus anymore because it stopped running at a certain time. I borrowed a bike and often got a ride to work with the disassembled bike in the back, but sometimes rode it to work (about 7-8 miles). I always rode it home at 2am. After a couple of years of this, I eventually got a car and worked two jobs to make the financing work (4 x 10hr at one [m-th] and 3x 12hr at the other [f-su]). I did that for something like 5 or 6 months before I burned out working 10-12 hrs a day, every day of the week. The next car I got, I paid cash and vowed to never finance a car again. I did finance a car one more time (married with newborn) but all the others are paid off when purchased. You have to work and save. I think it's called adulting these days.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to acptulsa again.

    He is not kidding.

Every single thing CJM mentioned, thrift, saving for future goals, doing without to achieve long term goals, performing extra work to achieve immediate goals, long term planning, it has all been derided and scoffed as "whiteness" or "white supremacy".

On one hand I dont care if they work but I also dont care if they eat. On the other hand we live in a country with a dismal GDP avg for the past 23 yrs , a sorry work force participation rate ,34 trillion in debt on the way to a quick 40 , run by a fed govt spending trillions more than they take in , in part to finance that debt , printing money 24/7 for decades so if you still are hoping to avoid collapse ( I think it is too late ) you probably need these useless eaters to try and do a little something productive .
    Do something Danke

Thinking about my early working days reminded me that my favorite local band at the time had a song about work. These guys were basically the house band at one of my local haunts -- great music:

    exchange from the comments:
@PJyrstinkangas: What's up with the Red Barchetta intro?

@dougsteeleguitar: Back in '91, we just did whatever the $#@! we wanted. It was a demo. We also ripped off Vio-Lence in the same song, we even say it: We-Rip-Off-Vio-Lence!
Here's a live clip of the guitar guys playing eruption together on the same fretboard:

and what the heck, since I'm highjacking the thread, here's the "what became of those guys?" vid:

She has a valid gripe about the present state of affairs, but she has no concept of what brought us here.

I'm quite certain that she supports the worst of the worst that has ruined this nation and that her mind is full of marxist shat.

I would love to inform her that she has an excellent "fall back" opportunity.

She has just enough curb appeal to be able to find a motivated young man who gladly still works for the beast and makes a good enough living to support her as long as she bares and competently raises his children and is there to meet him with a friendly smile and a warm meal when he comes back from work every evening.

But I'll bet that her "education" has taught her not to be "marginalized" in that manner.

Anyone who thinks there's no such thing as one that can is either using a ridiculously narrow definition of "income", or is in complete denial about what Big Guy Biden's ten percent adds up to.

You're the one who seems to find that "assumption" of obvious fact remarkable. So, which one are you?
