Humanitarian supply ships headed from Turkey to Gaza have been denied the right to sail by an international shipping body.

The organization Freedom Flotilla Coalition said in a press statement Saturday afternoon the group organizing for support to Gaza was contacted by the Guinea Bissau International Ships Registry for an inspection of their lead ship.

The inspector for GBISR conducted the inspection on Friday, and the organization withdrew consent for the legal registration and flag use for the two FFC ships, citing the organization’s planned mission to Gaza amid the war between Hamas and Israel.

“Without a flag, we cannot sail. But this is not the end,” wrote the FFC.

Today, the UN controls all shipping, and they have removed most of the benefits of a "flag of convenience"

A top spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) dealt a blow to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday, publicly declaring that the complete destruction of Hamas is not attainable.

Spokesman Daniel Hagari made the comments during a Wednesday night appearance on Israeli television. The statement directly conflicts with the position Netanyahu has held for months, that the military campaign in Gaza must continue until Hamas is completely dismantled.

"The idea that we can destroy Hamas or make Hamas disappear is misleading to the public," Hagari said in his interview. "What we can do is grow something different, something to replace it. The politicians will decide."

Netanyahu's office produced a swift rebuttal Wednesday evening, insisting that ending Hamas remains the IDF's goal.

The Israel / Hezbollah thing is at a turning point. If nothing positive happens (yesterday's bombings in Gaza don't help)
then the chances are high for escalation possibly exponential in nature.

I'm guessing that the dissolution of the war cabinet and Gantz exit increases Netanyahu's control, and that putting
Smotrich in charge of organizing, weaponizing (US machine guns) West Bank settlers into militias is all about making a move
against the Palestinians of the West Bank.

I'm not being alarmist. It's bad. Voices for peace don't seem to be gaining ground.
