    Hello! ... hello ... hello ...

Is anyone in here? ... here ... here ...

Seriously, though, I didn't even know there was a debate tonight until after it had already started (I saw a tweet asking if anyone was watching it).

If anybody on that debate stage were intelligent they'd all rightfully point out Trump has no information that guarantees him a victory.

I didn't watch it. Without the other candidates abilty to score hits on Trump or Trump to make some gaffe, it seemed pointless.

About the only thing to debate is whether half the voting public is going to be voting for a jailed political prisoner in 2024.

Tuned in for a few minutes here and there, had other things going on last night. Seems to be very similar to previous debate.

Vivek is probably the closest to our views with DeSantis 2nd.

But the reality is at this point, unless there is some massive unforeseen surprise, Trump will be the nominee, in which case this stuff doesn't matter so much. Most of the people on this stage are simply hoping for an appointment or a book deal or a talking head position, run for other office, etc.

Talking points on Fox and CNN were interchangeable for the post-debate “analysis”. The Ministry of Truth was in agreement across the board. Nikki Haley is the greatest, Vivek Ramaswamy is deplorable.

Neocons are back in control of all major networks, and both parties, except for those pesky Freedom Caucus type rebels.

Outrageous. We can’t have that. Anyone who says things that sound like Ron Paul should be shunned, especially by various libertarian types.

I'd guess at this point they are there in case Trump goes to prison, drops out or dies. I would also guess DeSantis is there as part of his 2028 campaign. If he finishes second this time he probably has it in the bag next time.

Which reminds me. The moderators asked if there was a mathematical way for any of them to become the GOP candidate.

Mathematically speaking, or more specifically, statistics and probability speaking, there is a mathematical chance of any of the above happening, thus providing an actual mathematical odds for each of them to become the GOP candidate. Long odds, no doubt, but the math could be calculated.

The calculation would start with an actuarial chart which gives Trump a 4.35% chance at dying in the next year:

Trump will still continue his run if he is in prison, he will not drop out for any reason. It is possible, but unlikely they will kill him because that would make him a martyr.

So does Tom Davis. I don’t get it. She must be a charmer in person.

63% of potential Republican primary voters support Trump’s 2024 bid, up 5 points over the week

Our survey, conducted Sept. 28, found that 63% of potential Republican primary voters support Trump for the GOP’s 2024 presidential nomination, up from 58% in a Morning Consult survey released Monday ahead of the matchup. Trump’s improvement appears to have come from across the spectrum of challengers, but most notably from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, whose backing fell from 15% to 12%.

Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, who faced heated attacks on stage from rivals such as former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, saw his support drop by 2 percentage points (as did Haley), though that movement was within the survey’s margin of error.

These are not debates. They are reality TV shows, more so since Trump debuted in his first "debate".

The goal of the establishment is not to enlighten the public. The purpose is to degrade the candidates, except for the selected establishment candidates they favor. The next day the MSM gets to tell the public who won, who lost, who was rude, and who was a clown, with no regard for what really happened.

Haley is still whoring for attention. Apparently it was too much for The Hill to figure out, but the person who delivered the cage and seed is tied to her own campaign, not Trump. Or maybe the Hill did figure it out. They did always insert "she said". But apparently that part isn't deemed important.

    https://thehill.com/homenews/campaig...her-birdbrain/

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley said Sunday that the Trump campaign sent a birdcage and bird food to her hotel room, a day after former President Trump called her “birdbrain.”

In a post on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, Haley posted a photo of a birdcage with a large bag of food, with a sign that said, “From: Trump Campaign.”

“After a day of campaigning, this is the message waiting for me at my hotel room… #PrettyPatheticTryAgain #YouJustMadeMyCaseForMe,” Haley said in her post.

Marc Caputo, a journalist with The Messenger, confirmed in a post on X that it was done by the Trump campaign. The Hill has reached out to the Trump campaign for comment.

The post comes as Trump, the front-runner in the GOP primary campaign, has shifted his focus to target Haley, who served as his ambassador to the United Nations and as the former South Carolina governor.

Haley has risen in the GOP presidential field, aided by her strong performance in both GOP debates.

Trump nicknamed Haley “birdbrain” in a post Friday, writing of Haley: “’I will never run against our great President,’ she said, ‘he has done an outstanding job.’ To which I responded, ‘How nice of you to say, Nikki,’ knowing full well that her words mean nothing. She even came to Mar-a-Lago with her family, ‘bearing gifts.’ Anyway, Birdbrain doesn’t have the TALENT or TEMPERAMENT to do the job. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

On Friday, Haley responded to the attack in a post on X, suggesting it showed her campaign’s momentum.

“Love this. It means we are in 2nd and moving up fast. Bring it!” she said.
Bring it! Yes, Ambassador, just as you ordered.
