The same people who failed to grasp the obvious implications of a European man "fighting against the Russians in World War Two" before celebrating that man with a standing ovation are the same people who support censorious "fact checking" and oppose what they deem to be "misinformation".
Well I mean, the choice was either fight with the Nazi's against the Russians (who are now also Nazi's), or to fight the Nazi's alongside the Russians (who are now also Nazi's).
I think the real take-away here, is that every country is eventually evil/Nazi, except obviously America

You're being obtuse here. Of course it's a reference to Trump. I'm unclear as to which way the author intended to point their ire, but do a search - using any search engine- of the phrase "very fine people" and see who's name comes up in every hit. It won't be Trudeau, Parliament or the Anti-Defamation League. The contrived narrative is an undeniable part of the mainstream mythology now. That's the way propaganda works.
