    HANNAH BLEAU 20 Sep 2023

Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday promised to carry out “the largest domestic deportation operation in American history” in the pattern of the Eisenhower model, making the vow during a speech in Dubuque, Iowa.

Trump delivered remarks on securing the border and stopping illegal immigration in the country.

“One of the most important issues in this campaign is ending the nation-wrecking catastrophe on our southern border,” Trump’s prepared remarks read.

“Under my leadership, we had the most secure border in U.S. history. Now, we have the worst border in the history of the world,” they continue, deeming the current immigration crisis as an “invasion.” With that, Trump will identify himself as the “only candidate in this race who will stop it cold on DAY ONE.”

“A vote for President Trump means Joe Biden’s horror show at the southern border ends at high noon on Inauguration Day, 2025,” the remarks read, as Trump touts how he did more to secure the border in his first term than “any president in history.”

“Upon my inauguration, I will immediately terminate every Open Borders policy of the Biden administration,” Trump continues, adding, “Following the Eisenhower Model, we will carry out the largest domestic deportation operation in American History.”

Trump has long channeled former President Dwight Eisenhower’s “Operation Wetback,” even prior to becoming the GOP nominee as part of the 2016 presidential election.

“People liked him. I liked Ike. [That’s the] expression. ‘I Like Ike.’ Moved a million and a half illegal immigrants out of this country, moved them just beyond the border: They came back. Moved them again, beyond the border: They came back. Then moved them way south. They never came back,” Trump said in November 2015.

A June analysis released by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) estimated that the number of illegal immigrations in the U.S. has increased to almost 17 million — “an increase of 2.3 million illegal aliens since Biden took office in January 2021 and an increase of 1.3 million illegal aliens since the same time last year,” as Breitbart News reported.

The analysis estimated the cumulative net cost to be least $163 billion a year for American taxpayers.

    Why?

    (1) The Navy ain't gonna stop the CIA from doing anything the CIA wants to do.

    (2) The black-market value of fentanyl would skyrocket.

    The CIA will love it.

Submarines are commonly used to smuggle.

Only the Navy and a very few oilfield vessels, have ASW capabilities, the USCG does not, they were removed from USCG cutters years ago.

LOL, he didn't even stand up to the Democrats mayors and governors who defied Federal laws, so how is he going to deport millions of people?
Imagine if he had any balls and defied the "sanctuary" cities and states while he WAS President? If he sent in the Feds and moved the illegals out.
If he arrested and charged Democrats for violating Federal law? He didn't do it. He was a paper tiger.

It's impossible. You can't physically capture and remove 17 million people. Even if you could do it, it would crash the US economy.

As for the other parts of his plan, yes bringing home all the troops and deploying them on the border is fine. The FBI needs to stay doing what it is doing and just abolish DHS and DEA.

That was filmed in Mexico, you can see the Mexican license plate in video.

Border security is one thing. Roundup and deportation of 17 million, probably more is another. How do you propose to locate all these people and determine who is an illegal? Papers please? A sudden loss of millions from the workforce would send the economy into a recession, just what we need in the middle of massive inflation. So yeah this proposal is in no way practical.

A better solution would be to just offer a green card to all who are in the country illegallly now or who arrive at the border. This gets them paying taxes. Then discontinue any entitlements to non-citizens. They can either work and support themselves or will leave.

I didn’t hear him say he was going to deport 17 million people. If they can get a percentage of that it’s a win. Wouldn’t you like some effort to remove the illegals?

Well that will work against him won't it? Almost all of the Cubans and Venezuelans that are here now are Republicans.

No, I think it's pointless and impossible. I think it would be better to just issue a green card to all the ones that are here already and get them legal.

Yes, I realize that...the consist was being pulled by a BNSF locomotive, a US company. It was northbound for the border.

The consist gets inspected and x-rayed before entry, what I am reading is that the invaders bail as soon the train stops and fan out to cross the border, unmolested, on foot.

Go for the low hanging fruit first.

The tens of thousands milling about in shelters, hotels, NG bases and so on...send them back first.

As word gets out more will "self deport".

Do what @PAF has been advocating: cut off all hand outs, services, payments and benefits.

    More will go after that.

Those convicted of petty criminal activity, deport them as well.

    One Mexican license plate?

That was filmed in the U.S; the BNSF has no track in Mexico. The only component of the road that ever did was the Santa Fe, and the Mexican government appropriated all of that in the nineteenth century.

So, an impasse. Is it more likely that a car managed to cross the border, or a diesel electric locomotive..?

    Does FerroMex use foreign power?

I double checked it, that's a Burlington Northern/Santa Fe unit on there.

I know Uncle Pete has a border inspection point.

Either way, regardless of which side they were on when that video was taken, they are invading.

And he won't be any different next time. Know why? Because just like you don't reward an invading army, you do not reward a toothless politician. Reelect someone for doing nothing of substance, and that's what you'll get.

Yes, cutoff the handouts, illegals should get nothing from the US government. Yes deport the criminals. But beyond that I don't think it's practical.

That is the only logical solution which yields the most freedom. Unfortunately, that is not the plan. They will use everything in their power until the people literally beg for their own chains:

Here they go again. The House GOP leadership is fixing to sell-out the nation’s fiscal future still another time in order to protect missions that have nothing to do with true conservative governance.

    We are talking about:

    * Playing policeman to the world with a hideously expensive Warfare State.

    * Building physical and enforcement walls at the Mexican borders when we desperately need more imported workers.

    * Loading up the budget with do-gooder pork that should not be dispensed by government at all or, at worst, should be handled by state and local units where both the benefits and costs are more evident to grass roots voters.

Why would deporting them cause an economic problem? It would raise wages in landscaping, unskilled construction, the hospitality business like hotels and restaurants which are fields Hispanic Americans work. Their UE rate would go down as well as their dependence on welfare.

How are the illegals in NYC helping the economy?

If you hadn't noticed there is a huge shortage of workers for the unskilled jobs that illegals typically do. If all the illegals left those jobs would remain unfilled, businesses that rely on them would close. It would be a domino effect.
