Where in the Scriptures does it teach that a Christian must go to confession before partaking of the bread and wine at the Lord's Table?

In that specific question I think he is referring to Catholic Doctrine not biblical quotations. If the Pope is the leader of the Catholics and he is not following the rules then according to the rules he is to be excommunicated from the Catholic religion. Yes, the Pope is the head of the Roman Catholic Church, but he's definitely not head of the universal Church, worldwide.

In any situation it takes a unique, confident, person to stand up to the dragons instead of going along to get along.
