- Doug Burgum, Governor of North Dakota

- Doug Burgum endorsed former president Donald Trump in both 2016 and 2020. Trump also endorsed Burgum during each of his gubernatorial elections.

- In 2001, Doug Burgum sold Great Plains Software to Microsoft for $1.1 billion. After the sale, Burgum was named Senior Vice President of Microsoft Business Solutions Group, the offshoot created from merging Great Plains into the corporation. He stayed with Microsoft until 2007 and was responsible for making enterprise apps a priority for Microsoft during this tenure. Satya Nadella, current CEO of Microsoft, has credited Burgum with "inspiring him to find the soul of Microsoft".

- Support Ukraine: an opportunity for US and NATO - This moment [in the war with Ukraine] shows the cracks with Russia and Putin losing his grip on that country. We have an opportunity, along with our NATO partners, in this situation, to really get behind and support Ukraine. Let's give them the support they need. And this is an opportunity for the United States and NATO to really secure a position of strength in Eastern Europe.

- According to Politico, Burgum has sought to play up his stance as a hawk toward China by speaking of a Cold War with China.

- Unite the country against our enemies like China and Putin. Our enemies are countries that want to see our way of life destroyed.

- The USMCA is a new trade pact among the United States, Mexico and Canada, intended as a stronger and modernized replacement for the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) - "We're encouraged to hear that negotiators have reached consensus to update our Trilateral Trade Agreement with Canada and Mexico.

- When telling the North Dakota story, it cannot be done without highlighting our military members. Included in the executive budget is a Public/Private Military Museum, right here on the Capitol grounds connected to the Heritage Center.
