“[T]he enshrinement of constitutional rights necessarily takes certain policy choices off the table.” (Heller, 554 U.S., at ___, 128 S.Ct., at 2822.)

How long before "going liberal" replaces "going postal"?

    Thanks for sharing this!

    I wrote this in response:

It's not Capitalism vs Communism -- it's Freedom vs Slavery

The Plandemic 3: Great Awakening video has been making the rounds. I hope that it really contributes to its intended goal -- to awaken and continue awakening the masses. As I watched, there are some thoughts that have been rolling around in my head for some time and which I will share here.

Let's start with an extended quote from Ludwig von Mises's excellent booklet The Anti-Capitalist Mentality, Section I.8 "The resentment of the 'cousins'":

On the market not hampered by the interference of external forces, the process which tends to convey control of the factors of production into the hands of the most efficient people never stops. As soon as a man or a firm begins to slacken in endeavors to meet, in the best possible way, the most urgent of the not yet properly satisfied needs of the consumers, dissipation of the wealth accumulated by previous success in such endeavors sets in. Often this dispersion of the fortune starts already in the lifetime of the business~ man when his buoyancy, energy and resourcefulness become weakened by the impact of old age, fatigue, and sickness, and his ability to adjust the conduct of his affairs to the unceasingly changing structure of the market fades away. More frequently it is the sluggishness of his heirs that fritters away the heritage. If the dull and stolid progeny do not sink back into insignificance and in spite of their incompetence remain moneyed people, they owe their prosperity to institutions and political measures which were dictated by anti-capitalistic tendencies. They withdraw from the market where there is no means of preserving acquired wealth other than acquiring it anew each day in tough competition with everybody, with the already existing firms as well as with newcomers "operating on a shoestring." In buying government bonds they flee under the wings of the government which promises to safeguard them against the dangers of the market in which losses are the penalty of inefficiency. However, there are families in which the eminent capacities required for entrepreneurial success are propagated through several generations. One or two of the sons or grandsons or even great-grandsons equal or excel their forebear. The ancestor's wealth is not dissipated, but grows more and more.

These cases are, of course, not frequent. They attract attention not only on account of their rarity, but also on account of the fact that men who know how to enlarge an inherited business enjoy a double prestige, the esteem shown to their fathers and that shown to themselves. Such "patricians," as they are sometimes called by people who ignore the difference between a status society and the capitalistic society, for the most part combine in their persons breeding, fineness of taste and gracious manners with the skill and industriousness of a hard-working businessman. And some of them belong to the country's or even the world's richest entrepreneurs.

It is the conditions of these few richest among these so-called patrician families which we must scrutinize in order to explain a phenomenon that plays an important role in modern anti-capitalistic propaganda and machinations. Even in these lucky families, the qualities required for the successful conduct of big business are not inherited by all sons and grandsons. As a rule only one, or at best two, of each generation are endowed with them. Then it is essential for the survival of the family's wealth and business that the conduct of affairs be entrusted to this one or to these two and that the other members be relegated to the position of mere recipients of a quota of the proceeds. The methods chosen for such arrangements vary from country to country, according to the special provisions of the national and local laws. Their effect, however, is always the same. They divide the family into two categories-those who direct the conduct of affairs and those who do not.

The second category consists as a rule of people closely related to those of the first category whom we propose to call the bosses. They are brothers, cousins, nephews of the bosses, more often their sisters, widowed sisters-in-law, female cousins, nieces and so on. We propose to call the members of this second category the cousins.

The cousins derive their revenues from the firm or corporation. But they are foreign to business life and know nothing about the problems an entrepreneur has to face. They have been brought up in fashionable boarding schools and colleges, whose atmosphere was filled by a haughty contempt for banausic money-making. Some of them pass their time in night clubs and other places of amusement, bet and gamble, feast and revel, and indulge in expensive debauchery. Others amateurishly busy themselves with painting, writing, or other arts. Thus, most of them are idle and useless people.

It is true that there have been and are exceptions, and that the achievements of these exceptional members of the group of cousins by far outweigh the scandals raised by the provoking behavior of the playboys and spendthrifts. Many of the most eminent authors, scholars and statesmen were such "gentlemen of no occupation." Free from the necessity of earning a livelihood by a gainful occupation and independent of the favor of those addicted to bigotry, they became pioneers of new ideas. Others, themselves lacking the inspiration, became the Maecenas of artists who, without the financial aid and the applause received, would not have been in a position to accomplish their creative work. The role that moneyed men played in Great Britain's intellectual and political evolution has been stressed by many historians. The milieu in which the authors and artists of nineteenth-century France lived and found encouragement was Ie monde, "society."

However, we deal here neither with the sins of the playboys nor with the excellence of other groups of wealthy people. Our theme is the part which a special group of cousins took in the dissemination of doctrines aiming at the destruction of the market economy.

Many cousins believe that they have been wronged by the arrangements regulating their financial relation to the bosses and the family's firm. Whether these arrangements were made by the will of their father or grandfather, or by an agreement which they themselves have signed, they think that they are receiving too little and the bosses too much. Unfamiliar with the nature of business and the market, they are-with Marx-convinced that capital automatically "begets profits." They do not see any reason why those members of the family who are in charge of the conduct of affairs should earn more than they. Too dull to appraise correctly the meaning of balance sheets and profit and loss accounts, they suspect in every act of the bosses a sinister attempt to cheat them and to deprive them of their birthright. They quarrel with them continually.

It is not astonishing that the bosses lose their temper. They are proud of their success in overcoming all the obstacles which governments and labor unions place in the way of big business. They are fully aware of the fact that, but for their efficiency and zeal, the firm would either have long since gone astray or the family would have been forced to sell out. They believe that the cousins should do justice to their merits, and they find their complaints simply impudent and outrageous.

The family feud between the bosses and the cousins concerns only the members of the clan. But it attains general importance when the cousins, in order to annoy the bosses, join the anti-capitalistic camp and provide the funds for all kinds of "progressive" ventures. The cousins are enthusiastic in supporting strikes, even strikes in the factories from which their own revenues originate. It is a well-known fact that most of the "progressive" magazines and many "progressive" newspapers entirely depend on the subsidies lavishly granted by them. These cousins endow progressive universities and colleges and institutes for "social research" and sponsor all sorts of communist party activities. As "parlor socialists" and "penthouse Bolsheviks," they play an important role in the "proletarian army" fighting against the "dismal system of capitalism."
This idea can be developed further and I've read a more in-depth treatment at one point, but I've forgotten its title and who wrote it, and my web-searches are not turning anything up at the moment. The basic idea is that wealth (and even political power) tends to divide a family into "the working family" and the rest. We even see this pattern manifesting quite explicitly in the British royal family which now has designated "working royals" and all the others. The "working royals" simply means those whose reputations can be staked against the Crown itself, all the others having to be held at some arm's-length from the Crown lest they tarnish it with their many scandals.

This, in turn, goes to show how human society is allowing itself to be torn to shreds by a two-way social and spiritual war... the "cousins" trying to tear up the family business either to collapse it and then grab whatever they can on the way out of bankruptcy court, or out of simple scorched-earth envy... if we can't have it, neither can you. One way or another, this is where the hoards of Marxists come from. They are all telling the truth (except the movement leaders), that they have no particular ambition except universal equality (in destitution). That is not a lie. But what animates such an unmotivated mass of people to be so unrelentingly ambitious in the achievement of non-ambition?! Simple greed and envy.

But where does the corrupting influence of society emanate from? Is it not from the "working royals"? After all, if you're an older sibling to me, and you tarnish your reputation, then guess who's next in line? Me. Or, if I'm already "working family", and you're not in "the circle of trust", as Robert De Niro so memorably put it in Meet the Parents, then if I can get you to tarnish your own reputation (by luring you into doing something stupid), I can make sure you stay out of that circle of trust. You will never become a "working royal". Should have thought of that before you insulted my tulips.

So, what's the solution? Well, if you know me, then you know what I'm going to say next. The solution is the Gospel. But I want to go one layer deeper into the Gospel than what you will normally hear from a typical altar-call. The altar-call Gospel serves its purpose, but it's a very abridged picture into the full tapestry of what the Gospel really is.

Consider Romans 16:20a, "The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet."

Well, that's cool, God is going to defeat Satan. Lots of verses say that. But wait a minute, look more closely: "... will soon crush Satan under your feet..." Whose feet? Our feet! Satan will be crushed by God, under our feet. Let's go back to Genesis 3:15 and double-check what's going on here... what exactly is Paul trying to say?

Genesis 3:15, "And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel."

Now, we well know that Genesis 3:15 is a prophecy of the Messiah, Jesus. It says that He, Messiah, "shall bruise" the Serpent's head (Satan), but Paul is saying that our feet will crush Satan (that is, bruise the Serpent's head). What?!

The solution is in understanding how we are the body of Christ, not as a purely spiritual metaphor, but as an operative reality. The more we submit ourselves to the will of God, the more we align ourselves with the kingdom of God, the more our lips proclaim the Gospel of God, the more our hands become the hands of Messiah, the more our feet become the feet of Messiah, the more our lips become the lips of Messiah to the world.

And here we come full circle to the idea that we are the working family of God. Let us never be a stumbling-block to the blind (Lev. 19:14), but let us work to bring the "cousins" into the fold, into the household of God, to help them be rehabilitated through the Gospel into working family again. They are the prodigal sons, as we once were. This is the mindset that we are to have towards the lost. While it is true that Satan is able to operate through them much more freely than he can operate through believers, they are not our enemies by that mere fact because, again, we were once as they are.

Therefore, the more they shout Woke slogans at us, the more they spew Satan's venomous hatred of the Gospel in our direction, the more we must regard them as injured or deranged family-members whose blood has been envenomed by some terrible snake, or hit on the head and rendered incompetent. I do not mean that they will not answer to God for their words and actions... we all will. I only mean that our heart-orientation must remain aligned with that of the Good Shepherd who is our head-of-household, the heir, the Crown Prince, the one who ultimately decides which among us is working royalty, or not. His heart is mercy and redemption, even at the cost of giving up everything. That is the example he set, and that is the example we are to follow.

Thus, the correct manner in which to conduct social activism is to bring the Shepherd's heart to the lost, at every opportunity, and in every way we can, through every channel available to us. For example, when we are attending rallies to oppose social changes which are obviously being promulgated by satanic forces from the heavenly realms (Eph. 6:10ff), we need to have Mission #1 on our minds at all times. Being "right" will not matter. The shouting matches and the drama of the moment will be forgotten and burned up in the very next moment -- they will not echo in eternity. But being the heart, hands, feet and face of Jesus to a world lost in the devil's endless vice traps -- greed, envy, pride, anger, hatred, lust, and so on -- will echo in eternity and, in fact, it is the only "message" that will actually have a lasting impact. In short: don't just preach the Gospel, be the Gospel! "The kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power." (1 Corinthians 4:20) Live that fact!

The devil is like a chess-hustler who only knows opening traps and, if he can swing it, how to swindle pieces on or off the board. He cannot actually use proper strategy because he's deluded, mad and deranged. He would not be fighting God if he were anything else. It can be really annoying to study all the opening traps in chess, rather than learning to play proper strategy, as the top chess players do. Nevertheless, we have to have the humility to start at the very bottom and work through all the stupid opening traps that park-bench chess hustlers will spring on you, if they get the opportunity. And it's exactly the same in fighting this Clown World insanity. They are so wrong that words cannot even express how wrong they are. Nevertheless, they have an enormous bag of clever verbal tricks and social dramatics that seem to give them the upper-hand in street arguments and other situations where truth may confront lies. But do not play into their traps. Learn their traps, and learn how to avoid them. This mainly has to do with humility, and maintaining clear thinking under stress. When 100 hostile eyes are looking at you, while someone is screaming through a bullhorn "DOWN WITH THE NAZI!" "DOWN WITH THE NAZI!", that's not a situation where you can productively share the Gospel or model Jesus (except on the Cross). So that's when you pull a Jesus and slip out of the crowd, Luke 4:30.

It's time for believers to start putting on the armor of God and get ready for "spiritual street-fights". The latter term is loaded and has been badly misinterpreted by the sandwich-boarding street shock-preachers, modeled on Westboro Baptist Church. I'm not talking about that. I mean, we need to take the Gospel out to the world in the old tradition of peaceful and humble street-preaching, guided by the Holy Spirit, for the purposes of the Kingdom. This is the means that God has appointed to defeat Satan (1 Cor. 1:21) and this is how he is going to crush Satan under OUR feet!!!
