    McCarthy earns his speakership

    Good read:

Mr. McCarthy’s strategy was to embrace his right—and his center, and his defense hawks, and his culture warriors, and everybody else—and to give the whole crew ownership. Mrs. Pelosi delivered marching orders; Mr. McCarthy decentralized. He gave the leaders of all five of his caucuses a seat at the leadership table and set the well-respected Louisiana Rep. Garret Graves to days and months of discussions. This wasn’t an elite few dictating a bill; it was an entire conference hammering out the delicate trade-offs that became the April product. That built buy-in.

Seems like excuse making and normalization for a weak deal that screws the people. Investing in torch and pitchfork companies now...

What a load. McCarthy took that all-inclusive product and threw it right in the trash, and then came up with a new agreement with the Democrats, with very little input or buy-in from the GOP members of Congress (other than the usual establishment operatives/negotiators).

Here is Matt Gaetz full list of complaints in the statement.

    https://www.realclearpolitics.com/vi...m_speaker.html

Not a single word about the migrant problem.

McCarthy refused to advance a bipartisan bill by Golden (D) Maine that would immediately deport undocumented illegals and more. He also refused to back Gosar (R) Arizona carbon copy of Josh Hawley's bill in the Senate (which McConnell quashed) that would remit deportation powers to the States.

I do not see how the list of complaints Gaetz makes would do anything to improve our situation as regular people who have to LIVE in this country as it is.
At a time when a substantial number of Democrats were willing to vote against the Biden regime's migrant policies, and empower States, or at least put pressure, bipartisan and significant, on the Biden Adm. by Democrats to deport many of these invaders, Gaetz wants the Jan 6th tapes and he wants a ::sniff:: "balanced budget", and to subpeona Hunter Biden. Give me a break. What a waste of time.

Democrats will rally around the President and their mainstream party interests now. Even those fractured Democrats are not going to impeach an 80 year old Joe Biden because he cut some sweetheart deals when he was VP years ago.

Not only this, but the Democrats are already moving past Biden, and Harris is waiting in the wings.

Moreover, even the Senate impeaches Biden, we get Harris, which is WORSE.

So, we will get stuck with MILLIONS of migrants, and the risk of WW3, and all the serious issues plaguing this country, while McCarthy, McConnell, and false oppositionists like Gaetz just want to play games that can go nowhere.
