My point is that any and all charges are only to keep Trump in court with looming charges so if these do not stick they just throw more. They don't even care if they have foundation or even remotely possible. All that matters is that Trump is always in trouble and portrayed as a terrible person that is scandalous, a liar, a cheat,....an adulterer, a narcissist, a this phobe or that phobe....

    FTA:

On Tuesday, it was revealed that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) has decided to sue Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) who is currently seeking out answers related to the indictment of Donald Trump by the DA and planning on holding a hearing about Bragg’s handling of the law next week.

According to The New York Times, Bragg filed the 50-page lawsuit in the Southern District of New York by calling Jordan’s recent calls for investigation a “brazen and unconstitutional attack” in order to intimidate Bragg.

Bragg is seeking to block the subpoena of Mark F. Pomerantz, a former lawyer who worked in the DA’s office and wrote a book about the investigation into Trump. By suing Jordan, Pomerantz, who is listed as a defendant in the suit, would be blocked from testifying to the House Judiciary Committee.

Last month, Trump’s lawyer, Joseph Tacopina, called for an investigation into Pomerantz and the DA’s office in general, writing, “Rather than let the American voters choose their next President, the [New York District Attorney’s Office (NYDA)] has decided that it knows better and has attempted to short-circuit the electoral process and take matters into its own hands,” Trump’s attorney wrote. “In short, over the past five years, the NYDA has targeted for criminal prosecution President Trump due to the prosecutors’ political animosity towards him.”

The letter, dated March 10th, called upon Commissioner Strauber to investigate former District Attorney Cyrus Vance, former NYDA General Counsel Carey Dunne, former Special Assistant District Attorney Mark Pomerantz, current District Attorney Alvin Bragg, and the NYDA in its totality.

While Tacopina urged the commissioner to take action, it seems like Rep. Jordan took notice and launched his own investigation.

During an interview with Fox News‘s Maria Bartiromo earlier this month, the Ohio Republican warned that if Mr. Bragg did not appear before Congress that “everything’s on the table” to force him to do so.

Earlier this week, Jordan stuck to his word and announced that he will be holding a committee hearing on Bragg’s inability to enforce the law by inviting victims of Bragg’s lack of enforcement to testify.

While it is unclear whether or not Jordan wanted to invite Bragg to the hearing, it is apparent that the district attorney had no interest in cooperating with Congress regarding the investigation into 45th President Donald Trump.

Trump, who was arraigned in Manhattan on Tuesday for 34 felony counts of falsifying business records, has repeatedly attacked Bragg for the politicized persecutions of the case against him with many legal experts agreeing that the case is weak at best.

It appears like DA Bragg is unwilling to cooperate with congressional oversight and his willingness to take drastic steps like suing Jordan further showcases his willingness to utilize the law to fulfill his own politicized motivations.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) sent letters Wednesday to former special prosecutors Carey Dunne and Mark Pomerantz demanding documents and testimony relating to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s “unprecedented abuse of prosecutorial authority” amid the reported impending indictment of former President Donald Trump.

Dunne and Pomerantz both resigned from their positions in the DA’s Office in January 2022 after Bragg’s initial reluctance to move forward with charges against President Trump.

Since leaving the DA’s office, Dunne and Pomerantz have publicly criticized Bragg for refusing to aggressively prosecute the former president and now have even opened a law firm to bring lawsuits to prevent Trump from holding future office.
House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-OH) wrote in the letters "Your criticisms of Bragg's investigation were widely reported. It now appears that your efforts to shame Bragg have worked as he is reportedly resurrecting a so-called 'zombie' case."

The letters asked Pomerantz and Dunne to turn over documents related to the Trump investigation, including communications with federal agencies and other staffers in the DA's office and sit for transcribed interviews by the morning of March 27.

On Monday, Jordan, Reps. Jim Comer (R-KY) and Bryan Steil (R-WI), the chairs of the Oversight and House Administration Committees sent a letter to Bragg requesting his testimony and documents which included the communications of Pomerantz and Dunne.

Jordan wrote, "In January 2022, soon after you took office, you expressed doubts about President Trump’s case and suspended the investigation.”

News broke Wednesday that the grand jury investigating former President Donald Trump for his alleged involvement in a $130,000 payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels on the eve of the 2016 election was told not to show up and would reconvene on Thursday amid reports that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is "having trouble" convincing members of the grand jury to hear the case.

"Federal Court Denies Manhattan DA Bragg’s Request for Temporary Restraining Order in Lawsuit Against Jim Jordan

Judge Vyskocil noted that Bragg’s complaint referenced a declaration from Theodore J. Boutrous, Jr, but “the Court has not been provided with this document yet, nor is it on the docket.” The court also said Bragg failed to provide a copy of the subpoena served on Pomerantz.

Mike Davis, founder and president of the pro-Trump Article III Project and former Chief Counsel for Nominations to Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) told Breitbart News that Bragg’s lawsuit against Jordan is “laughably frivolous.”
“Soros-funded Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s lawsuit against House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan is laughably frivolous, as evidenced by the fact Bragg couldn’t even win a temporary restraining order,” Davis said. “Harvard Law should demand that Bragg return his law degree.”

Judge sets March trial date for Trump/Daniels case in Manhattan

Trump Judge Sets March Date for Historic Criminal Trial

    https://www.breitbart.com/news/trump...sh-money-case/

The hearing in New York will see Donald Trump's legal team attempt to have the case thrown out.

    AFP 15 Feb 2024

Donald Trump returned to court in Manhattan on Thursday where his attempts to dismiss charges of covering up hush money payments were rejected, setting the stage for the first criminal trial of a former US president to begin on March 25.

At the same time, his representatives attended a separate hearing in Atlanta, pushing to have the lead prosecutor bringing charges of election fraud and racketeering against Trump disqualified from the case.

They are two of four criminal cases facing the Republican frontrunner as he campaigns to retake the White House, with his legal teams seeking to push the actual trials until after the November 5 vote.

Trump, who has seized on the media attention of his legal woes to fire up his supporters and denounce his Democratic opponent Joe Biden, reiterated his claim that the charges were “just a way of hurting me in the election.”

“How can you run for election if you are sitting in a courthouse in Manhattan all day long,” he said as he arrived at court.

Once the hearing got underway, Judge Juan Merchan rejected Trump’s request for delay, ruling that jury selection would begin as scheduled in late March.

The former president faces 34 counts of accounting fraud linked to payments to porn star Stormy Daniels.

Prosecutors say that Trump illegally covered up remittances to his longtime lawyer and aide, Michael Cohen, to reimburse him for payments to bury stories about Trump’s alleged extramarital sexual relations with Daniels and a Playboy model.

    Legal rollercoaster
Trump’s lawyers will also be representing him in Atlanta, Georgia, where he is accused of conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election, which he lost to Biden.

That hearing seeks to have the District Attorney Fani Willis dismissed from the case over an alleged relationship with another prosecutor.

Trump’s legal rollercoaster could continue on Friday if, as US media have reported, a ruling is issued in his civil fraud trial, in which he is accused of grossly inflating his property’s values.

In that case he risks having to pay up to $370 million and faces a ban from conducting business in New York state.

And he also faces another possible trial alleging conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election in Washington.

Trump has used the numerous legal cases to fuel his claims of being victimized as he campaigns for a return to the White House.

The hush money case dates to the closing days of the 2016 election when Trump was on the cusp of his shock win as a political outsider against Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.

A New York grand jury indicted Trump in March 2023 over the payments made to Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford.

Prosecutors say the money was paid to silence Daniels over claims she had a tryst with Trump in 2006 — a year after he married Melania Trump.

Late in the campaign, Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen arranged a payment of $130,000 to Daniels in exchange for her pledge of confidentiality.

Trump for years rejoiced in his reputation as a playboy but he denied the affair with Daniels, which would have occurred just after Melania, his third wife, gave birth.

Trump slapped with gag order in Alvin Bragg's NYC 'fraudulent' docs case
The judge in the NYC case imposed a gag order on the former president following Monday's hearing.
    https://thepostmillennial.com/new-tr...lent-docs-case
    {Thomas Stevenson | 26 March 2024}

The judge in the New York fraudulent documents case against Donald Trump slapped the former president with a gag order on Tuesday.

According to CNBC, Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Juan Merchan filed the motion on Tuesday after Monday's hearing that had Trump in attendance.

Trump is prohibited from making statements about the witnesses in the case as well as the lawyers involved with "intent to materially interfere" with the case. He can still make statements about NYC District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

He is not allowed to make similar statements with the “intent to materially interfere" about staff at the Manhattan District Attorney's office or court staff.

This comes after a press conference on Monday when Trump said there were potential conflicts of interest with multiple people involved in the case.

    https://twitter.com/TPostMillennial/...13164840948172

Trump said, referring to the people at the Monday hearing in Manhattan, “You had [Matthew] Colangelo... Remember this, Colangelo was a DOJ guy. He’s a Biden DOJ guy. Why is he in the Manhattan DA’s office trying the case?”

"That in itself is a conflict," Trump added.

In a press release from Bragg’s office from Dec. 5, 2022, Colangelo was designated as a New Senior Counsel. The release stated, “Colangelo, who most recently served as a senior official at the U.S. Department of Justice, will focus on the Office’s cases, policies, and strategies in housing and tenant protection and labor and worker protection.”

It then added that Colangelo would be involved in the “Office’s most sensitive and high-profile white-collar investigations" at the time. The New York Times also reported on the hiring.

Trump also said during the presser, “You have Pomerantz, Mark Pomerantz, he was Hillary Clinton's lawyer, Democrat National Committee's lawyer. He worked in Paul Weiss. He walked in and he took over the district attorney's office, nobody's ever seen anything like that, to prosecute Trump.”

Trump also said that the multiple cases against him are "all about election interference."

"This is all Biden-run things, meaning Biden and his thugs, because I don't know if he knows he's alive."

President Trump dares judge in Alvin Bragg case to jail him for violating gag order
"I am willing to sacrifice my Freedom for that worthy cause."
    https://thepostmillennial.com/breaki...ge-to-jail-him
    {The Post Millennial | 06 April 2024}

On Saturday, Donald Trump expressed that he would consider it a "great honor" to face imprisonment if he violated a gag order, signaling a heightened level of criticism directed towards New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan and other judicial figures involved in the Alvin Bragg trial in New York.

On Monday, Merchan, the judge presiding over Trump's hush money trial scheduled to commence on April 15, broadened his gag order against Trump to encompass not only the judge's family but also the family of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

Posting on his Truth Social account, Trump wrote, "Now, we have Merchan, who is not allowing me to talk, thereby violating the Law and the Constitution, all at once. It is so bad what he is trying to get away with - How was he even chosen for this case??? I heard he fought like hell to get it, and all of the rest of them also! If this Partisan Hack wants to put me in the "clink" for speaking the open and obvious TRUTH, I will gladly become a Modern Day Nelson Mandela - It will be my GREAT HONOR. We have to Save our Country from these Political Operatives masquerading as Prosecutors and Judges, and I am willing to sacrifice my Freedom for that worthy cause. We are a Failing Nation, but on November 5th, we will become a Great Nation again. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

Merchan previously imposed a gag order on Trump, preventing him from discussing witnesses, lawyers, court staff, or their families, after he made comments about the judge's daughter.

The judge's daughter, Loren Merchan, is associated with left-leaning politics and has been involved in the Biden-Harris campaign. Her company, Authentic Campaigns, Inc., has received substantial funding from Democratic sources aiming to oppose Trump.

She was also revealed to have an account on X that featured a profile picture of Trump behind bars as if he were in prison.

Media outlets have portrayed Loren Merchan, who is 34 years old, in a manner that undermines Trump's freedom of speech protected by the First Amendment.

On Friday, President Trump filed a motion seeking the recusal of Judge Juan Merchan due to his daughter's involvement in political activities.

The Stormy Daniels trial begins today.

Judge May Force Trump to Skip Son Barron’s High School Graduation

    https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2...ol-graduation/

    HANNAH KNUDSEN 15 Apr 2024

New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan has yet to say that former President Donald Trump can attend his son Barron Trump’s high school graduation, refusing to rule on the former president’s request to not attend the trial that specific day for that event.

Monday was the start of the criminal trial at the hands of Democrat Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who charged Trump with 34 felonies, accusing him of falsifying business records in relation to payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels. As Breitbart News pointed out, Trump is not being accused of “covering up a sex scandal.” Trump has denied all charges against him, but, if convicted, he could face jail time.

While jury selection has begun in the criminal trial, Trump’s attorneys are looking ahead and have requested that Trump be able to skip the trial on May 17 so he can attend his son Barron’s high school graduation, which is taking place in his home state of Florida. According to Business Insider, Merchan has acknowledged the request but has refused to make a ruling.

“It really depends on if we are on time and where we are in the trial,” Merchan said, according to the outlet.

In other words, Trump may have to miss his youngest son’s high school graduation for what many have described as yet another witch hunt.

“This is how disgusting the Biden Trial has become. Not even letting the President attend his son’s high school graduation. Nothing but a political attack,” Trump adviser Jason Miller said.

Speaking to reporters ahead of entering a New York courtroom on Monday, Trump said this is another case of “political prosecution.”

“Nothing like this has ever happened before,” the former president said. “There is no case and they’ve [legal experts] said that — people that don’t necessarily follow or like Donald Trump.”

“This case was brought as political persecution,” Trump continued. “This is a persecution like never before.”

“And again, it’s a case that should have never been brought. It’s an assault on America. And that’s why I’m very proud to be here. This is an assault on our country,” he said, adding that the country is being run by “an incompetent man who is very much involved in this case.”

“This is really an attack on a political opponent. That’s all it is. So I’m very honored to be here,” Trump added.

I don't blame them, it was a sexual emergency and I wasn't about to go all white privilege and deny them the release they needed, especially after being stuck in a hotel for months. New York Times reporter Susanne Craig describes a scene from inside Trump's jury selection where Judge Merchan allows a potential juror to remain even after Trump's lawyers highlighted a social media video she posted of people celebrating the 2020 election.

Judge Merchan then lectures Trump for reacting negatively to the entire scene.

Very insightful moment into the type of jury Trump will likely end up with in New York.

The reason the charges were not thrown out is because the judges and prosecutors working on this case are on the Democrats payroll.

I certainly agree with that but when someone is brought up on fake/made up charges, you'd think a defendant could appeal that right up to the SCOTUS to stop the prosecution.
