I have faith the size of a grain of mustard seed that if I say to this mountain be moved and cast into the see it will happen. (I know you know the reference). We must speak into existence the things that are not yet. (And show up at these jerkoff's town hall meetings and demand they do more than just give lip service to the 2nd amendment while letting the left control the narrative.) But yeah, I know this is an uphill almost Sisyphus like battle.
I remember hearing that somewhere. Not a gun nut like others hear but learning. Found this out:Eugene Stoner, the designer of the Armalite Rifle chose the relatively tiny .223 Remington rifle round because it was light to carry, and because it was not necessarily deadly. The idea being that you wound a soldier it takes more of the forces out of play to tend to, than just outright killing one.

Assault Rifles
Although the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban expired on September 13, 2004, in accordance with its sunset provision, the definition provides a basis for identifying how many mass public shooters used this type of firearm. That definition of “semi-automatic weapon” included specific semi-automatic firearm models by name, and other semi-automatic firearms that possessed two or more certain features. Based on the GunFacts.info MPS Database, assault rifles were used in approximately 14 percent of those events.
Assault rifles are NOT used frequently in mass public shootings
High-Capacity Magazines
Per the Heritage Foundation website, noted in The Current Gun Debate: Mass Shootings (March 2018), “Few mass public shooters have used high-capacity magazines, and there is no evidence that the lethality of such attacks would have been affected by delays of two to four seconds to switch magazines. In fact, some of the largest mass shootings in U.S. history were carried out with low-capacity weapons:
The Virginia Tech shooter killed 32 and injured 17 with two handguns, one of which had a 10-round magazine and the other a 15-round magazine. He simply brought 19 extra magazines.
Twenty-three people were killed and another 20 injured in a Killeen, Texas, cafeteria by a man with two 9mm handguns, capable of maximums of 15-round and 17-round magazines, respectively.
A mentally disturbed man armed with two handguns and a shotgun shot and killed 21 people in a San Ysidro McDonald’s and injured another 19. The handguns utilized 13-round and 20-round magazines, and the shotgun had a five-round capacity.
Although mass public shootings account for only 0.1 percent of the total firearm-related mortality between 2000 and 2014, they bring national attention to the issue of firearm violence. Then a familiar series of events follow: First, there is a discussion of how that particular event could have been prevented, followed by a public outcry that stricter gun laws are needed. In actuality, existing laws that, if followed, may have prevented the event in question, are often not enforced.
In March, based on Michael Siegel Claire Boine’s article entitled “What Are The Most Effective Policies In Reducing Gun Homicides?”, knee-jerk reactions rooted in emotion will not solve the problem. To date, evidence shows that the problem requires solutions that are versatile and grounded in evidence. Analysis shows no significant association between homicide rates and assault weapons bans, large-capacity ammunition magazine bans, one-gun-per-month laws, “stand your ground” laws or prohibitions on gun trafficking.
The findings suggest that laws which regulate the “what” (i.e., what guns/products are allowed) do not have much of an impact on overall population homicide. In contrast, laws that regulate the “who” (i.e., who has legal access to firearms) may have an appreciable impact on firearm homicide, especially if access is restricted specifically to those people who are at the greatest risk of violence: Namely, people who have a history of violence or represent an imminent threat of violence.
Most people simply don't know this.

The transgender Covenant School shooter's manifesto is FINALLY being reviewed for public release
https://notthebee.com/article/the-tr...public-release
Harriet Rigby (27 April 2023)
[all emphasis in the original - OB]
A full month after the transgender shooter killed six people at a Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee, the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) is planning to release the shooter's manifesto to the public.
The MNPD has not said whether the manifesto and other documents found in the shooter's possession will be released in full, but considering that so far it's taken a month to review the materials, it's expected that some things will be redacted.
Despite being a month past the tragedy, the MNPD's Public Information Office told FOX 17 News,
The investigation has advanced to the point that writings from the Covenant shooter are now being reviewed for public release. That process is underway and will take a little time.
So while the release of the manifesto is coming, it looks like it may still be a while before we actually get to see what was going on in the shooter's depraved mind leading up to the mass shooting.
In the meantime, the media and the public will have time to move on to the next tragedy, probably one that's more in line with the narrative that we're all supposed to be focused on.

Something stinks about this. If my child had been at that school I would want the whole world to know everything about the shooter's motivation. I guarantee you if this was a neo Nazi shooter the manifesto would be broadcast 24/y.

An attorney for the parents said at a court hearing before Myles this week that the parents don't want to see any of the police evidence ever made public, specifically the journals of the alleged shooter, 28-year-old Audrey Hale, who was killed by police.
Police have not commented on a motive for the attack.
Attorney Eric Osborne, who said he represents 100 families affected by the school shooting, argued during Monday's hearing that the parents fear the evidence, if made public, could inspire copycat attacks and add additional pain to the children who survived the rampage.

"We are grateful for the opportunity to enter this case on behalf of our children and loved ones," Brent Leatherwood, a Covenant School parent who attended the Monday hearing, said in a statement to The New York Times. "Our intention is to safeguard our families and do all we can to prevent this horror from spreading to any other community."
In their motion, the parents cited the Tennessee Crime Victims' Bill of Rights which says victims "have the right to be free from harassment, intimidation, and abuse throughout the criminal justice system."
"Let me be clear, what would create a slippery slope is if she (Myles) decides that victims have a right to prevent access to police records," Fisher said. "I think we're about to hear, according to what the lawyers said, testimony from witnesses that say why the writings of mass shooters should not be released."
Myles has scheduled a June 8 "show cause" hearing for attorneys on both sides of the issue to make arguments.

Osborne said many of the Covenant School parents want to address the court on why they don't want the records released. He also said he'd like to call expert witnesses to explain how such a release of information could leave the victims open to "harassment, intimidation, and abuse."
In addition to the parents, Myles granted the Covenant Presbyterian Church and its school the right to intervene in the litigation.

During a hearing on Monday, lawyers for the church and school argued they don't want the evidence seized in the investigation released because the material contains the school's safety plan and other documents pertaining to health and social security records of school and church employees.
In her ruling, Myles wrote that "the court was stirred" by the argument that the public release of sensitive private documents could have "harmful and irreversible consequences."
"We're interested because we're used to police being able to release things about crimes," Fisher said. "We don't know what will happen if victims could, basically, prevent the release of police information, any police information. If that were the case, the police's hands will be tied on releasing information without the consent of the victim."

Fisher noted that two days after the mass shooting, Metropolitan Nashville Police Department released body camera footage of police officers charging into the school and killing the shooter. Police officials also released surveillance camera footage of Hale firing an AR-15-style rifle through the school's glass doors and stalking the hallways looking for victims to shoot.
"Even though it's graphic and scary to see that, police released it and it made them look like heroes and they were. They really went into that situation, and you could see what police had to do," Fisher said. "That video of the shooter going through the school, I don't know what the parents think about that being released."
John Lott, president of the Crime Prevention Research Center, a national gun rights advocacy group, told ABC News that it's "incredibly unusual" that the Covenant School shooter's writings haven't already been released.
"To me, the important thing is to learn the motivation why the person picked the particular place they did to attack," Lott said.
The Covenant parents' motion to have a say in the release of the police evidence was filed two days after more than 60 members of the Tennessee House Republican Caucus signed a letter they sent to Chief John Drake of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, asking him to release Hale's writings. The lawmakers wrote that Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee has called upon the General Assembly to hold a special session to consider public safety legislation in response to the shooting.
"In order for this special session to be successful, it is paramount we understand the behavior and motives of the Covenant School perpetrator," the letter said.

Nashville mayor launches investigation into leak of trans Nashville shooter's manifesto
"I have directed Wally Dietz, Metro’s Law Director, to initiate an investigation into how these images could have been released."
https://thepostmillennial.com/breaki...ters-manifesto
{Hannah Nightingale | 06 November 2023}
Following the leak of the transgender Nashville shooter’s alleged manifesto on Monday morning, Mayor Freddie O’Connell said that the city has launched an investigation into how the images of the writings were released.
"I have directed Wally Dietz, Metro’s Law Director, to initiate an investigation into how these images could have been released. That investigation may involve local, state, and federal authorities. I am deeply concerned with the safety, security, and well-being of the Covenant families and all Nashvillians who are grieving," O’Connell said in a statement, according to WSMV.
"This incident naturally invokes additional emotional trauma, and families or individuals who need support should reach out to professionals at National Alliance on Mental Illness (615-891-4724), MNPD support counselors (615-862-7773) or MNPS Family Information Center (615-259-INFO)."
On Monday morning, Steven Crowder released three handwritten pages of what he said were Audrey Hale’s manifesto. These highlighted an anti-white sentiment held by the shooter that killed three young students and three staff members of the Covenant School on March 27, 2023.
The pages apparently show Hale planning the day of the shooting down to the minute, including in all capital letters at the top of the page, "DEATH DAY." A source with the Louder with Crowder show told The Post Millennial that they received the photographs of Hale's notebook from a "source near law enforcement."
"I’m a little nervous, but excited too, been excited for the past two weeks," Hale wrote.
"There were several times I could have been caught, especially in the summer of 2021. None of that matters now, I’m almost an hour and 7 minutes away."
"Can’t believe I’m doing this, but I’m ready," Hale wrote, adding, "I hope my victims aren’t."
"Kill those Kids!!!" another page began, dated February 3, 2023.
"Those crackers, going to private fancy schools, with those fancy khakis + sports backpacks... w/ their daddies mustangs + convertibles. f*ck you little skits," Hale wrote.
Hale added: “Wanna kill all you little crackers!!! Bunch of little faggots w/ your white privileges f*ck you faggots."
Facebook CENSORS Nashville school shooter manifesto
"Your post may go against our Community Standards on violence and incitement."
https://thepostmillennial.com/breaki...oter-manifesto
{The Post Millennial | 06 November 2023}
Steven Crowder released portions of the trans, Nashville school shooter's manifesto on his Louder with Crowder show on Monday morning, only to have posts about the document censored on Facebook. That shooter was Audrey Hale, who identified as trans masculine.
He reported that "Facebook is now censoring the Nashville Manifesto," and shared a screenshot of a warning he gets when trying to post the content. "Your post may go against our Community Standards on violence and incitement," it read.
"Your post," the warning continued, "looks similar to content that we've removed for going against our Community Standards. You can delete it now to avoid potential account restrictions."
Crowder shared a screenshot from a user who had attempted to post images of the handwritten manifesto, with the caption "Have fun reading I advise it's not good."
The manifesto, handwritten on lined paper, was leaked to Crowder and aired on his show. The document contains anti-white rhetoric and detailed plans as to how school shooter Audrey Hale intended to carry out the shooting on March 27, 2023.
The full manifesto has not yet been released, but portions of it were made available on the broadcast. The federal investigators who obtained the documents after Hale's death have not released the information, despite months of pressure to do so. Freedom of Information Act Requests have been filed to make the writing public. The Covenant School filed a motion to block the release of handwritten documents, which were found on Hale's clothes after her death.
Hale also, per the manifesto, recorded a "final video" that has also not been released.
Hale gunned down 3 students and 3 teachers at the Covenant Catholic private school in Nashville, Tenn before being shot to death by officers responding to the scene. Per the documents leaked on Monday, Hale intended to die.

Nashville’s "diversity-obsessed" police chief John Drake - who is pissed that part of the white-haters manifesto has been released - IS THE SAME CHIEF OF POLICE - who is the father of John Drake Jr - who had been wanted for shooting two cops in late October! After stealing a car at gunpoint, which he crashed during a chase - Drake Jr fled and was later found with an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound (dead).
I guess after Chief Drake's son shot at 2 Nashville cops, it was the last straw and probably why the manifesto pages were leaked soon afterwards.

Nashville’s Diversity-Obsessed Black Police Chief Hid Trans Shooter’s Anti-White Manifesto
November 9, 2023
…Nashville’s black police chief John Drake’s mission since taking office three years ago has been to make the force more “diverse” and compliant with the Left’s police agenda. There could very well have been national pressure from Merrick Garland to suppress the manifesto, for reasons that may become clear in the near future. But a critical look at the Nashville Police Department reveals that suppressing the anti-white manifesto would have fit right into the mission at a local level….
…Drake told the Nashville Scene in 2021 that he openly supported Black Lives Matter..
…When he got the job in late 2020, he told local media that his top priority was increasing diversity. He soon created a “chief diversity officer” and kicked white males out of leadership roles…
