Good, generally speaking if DeSantis wants a bill somebody will sponsor it. It's GOP controlled.

That's great.
Keeping in mind:
Ron DeSantis: “I want all residents and visitors to receive this message: Florida Uses E-Verify. For years prior to my administration, attempts to pass E-Verify legislation in Florida failed, but I would not yield until this matter was addressed. Last year, I was able to deliver on working with the Florida Legislature to get E-Verify over the finish line and signed SB 664 into law.

Good on DeSantis for doing this.
"Perhaps one of the most important accomplishments of my administration is minding my own business."
Calvin Coolidge
I would agree, however the question to ask is whether he is willing to risk civil war over it?
Because the federal courts will clearly and swiftly invalidate it if it was ever put into practice of nullifying federal currency. At that point his only option to interpose himself between the citizens of Florida and the feds would be to physically stop the feds. I doubt he would be willing to do that. But I don't know, he has done some things that make me think he might indeed. Attempting to beef up the state guard for example was a step in that direction.
