    That may be true, and if so then we have never really been a republic because we have never been sufficiently about Law. Statute <> Law.

    Tax statutes != Law
    Drug statutes != Law
    Vice statutes != Law

    We are about statutes, the random whim and caprice of a raft of jerkoffs who claim the authority to do nearly anything they want. I see no way in which that qualifies us as an actual republic, but as one in name only.

    In a world gone mad, no outrage can be validly assumed as beyond the pale of plausibility.

    We get what we tolerate and we deserve what we get precisely because we tolerate it.

    Our words make us the ghosts that we are.

    Convincing the world he didn't exist was the Devil's second greatest trick; the first was convincing us that God didn't exist.
