I know that most folks on RPF are pretty digitally-savvy but spread the word and spread awareness -- friends, family, community, everyone needs to be aware that "anything you say can and will be used against you" doesn't just apply to when you're talking to police, it applies to everything you publish to the Internet... effectively forever. If you haven't already battened down the hatches, now is the time. For any content you choose to leave online, you need to be sure you understand how that content cannot be legally used against you in any way, shape or form, or it just might be. While the single greatest threat are the out-of-control public prosecutors in this country, be aware that private lawsuits can use all the same legal machinery to sting you just as hard. Take care in taking names publicly. Slander/libel, harassment, defamation and many other kinds of private remedies can be used against you by those who have the spare-cash to send their attack-dog attorneys after you. Woke/left paramilitary groups like Antifa and BLM have used similar tactics (name&shame to employers, etc.) to retaliate against their targets. Just be safe out there...

Anybody in the crosshairs of any DA or judge is at the mercy of that establishment. Their guilt or innocence has nothing to do with their guilt or innocence. The system is designed to financially extort as much money from you as possible before declaring you guilty.

The jet ski water spraying incident is irrelevant. This guy could just as easily be getting prosecuted for something they claim he did while he was halfway around the world at the time they said he did what they say he did. And, then in the end, some bogus jury convicts him after he spends millions in defense in a 2 year legal battle.

Amarillo police arrest man for deadly conduct related to illegal street racing.

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Amarillo police have arrested a man for deadly conduct charges related to illegal street racing.

Police say they were made aware of a YouTube channel belonging to an Amarillo man where he was documenting illegal street racing.

Investigators watched over 20 videos where he documents street racing in multiple areas around Amarillo, many times going more than 100 miles per hour.

On March 31, the Amarillo Police Neighborhood Patrol Unit served a warrant for deadly conduct to Kevin Van Voris. Investigators also conducted a search of his home to collect evidence.

Illegal street racing is a Class B Misdemeanor for the first offense unless the driver was intoxicated or someone is injured or killed.
