Everyone knows that they shadow banned. And honest people would say that a private entity can do that, although claims of an absolute free speech environment would be false advertising. (Leftists will scream no matter what, they are not honest players. BAMN.)

What is far more important is what government officials, past government officials and stealth government officials were doing, which is a clear violation of the 1st Amendment. And as my Tweet above implies, the full resources of those governement affiliates have most likely been dedicated to covering that information up for the past 8 months.

Last minute vetting by Jim Baker was just a last minute check in case anything had slipped through the cracks, nothing else.

On Wednesday, Twitter CEO Elon Musk revealed that important data in the Twitter Files releases was "hidden" and "deleted," but vowed that "everything we find will be released."

"Most important data was hidden (from you too) and some may have been deleted, but everything we find will be released," the Wednesday afternoon tweet read.

The tweet came in response to a post from former Twitter CEO and company cofounder Jack Dorsey demanding that all information related to the Twitter Files be released "without filter."

"If the goal is transparency to build trust, why not just release everything without filter and let people judge for themselves? Including all discussions around current and future actions? Make everything public now. #TwitterFiles," the tweet read.

On Tuesday evening, Musk also tweeted out the phrase, "Oh, what a tangled web they weave, when first they practice to …," referencing the 1801 poem by Sir Walter Scott Marion: A Tale of Flooded Field, with the complete line ending in "deceive," according to the Daily Mail.

In Tuesday’s release of the Twitter Files, it was revealed that now-former twitter Deputy General Counsel James Baker had "vetted" the Twitter Files, causing delay and occurring without "knowledge of new management," said journalist Matt Taibbi.

"We can now tell you part of the reason why" there was a delay, Taibbi posted. "On Tuesday, Twitter Deputy General Counsel (and former FBI General Counsel) Jim Baker was fired. Among the reasons? Vetting the first batch of “Twitter Files” – without knowledge of new management."

"The process for producing the “Twitter Files” involved delivery to two journalists (Bari Weiss and me) via a lawyer close to new management. However, after the initial batch, things became complicated."

"Over the weekend, while we both dealt with obstacles to new searches, it was @bariweiss who discovered that the person in charge of releasing the files was someone named Jim. When she called to ask “Jim’s” last name, the answer came back: “Jim Baker," Taibbi continued.

And those algorithms usually create a score, say percentage surety, and then it is up to a person to decide what is yes or no.

For example, the algorithm spits out a 90% chance of a face match. Humans then decide if that is a match or not. They might be stringent, they might be loose. And often, they are loose, so anything better than 50% is good enough for them to call it a match.

The software may only spit out “match” or “no match”, and the human operator has no idea how it came to that conclusion. 50 percent sure or 95% sure, no one knows.

How this was implemented at Twitter. Note that the example below is a score of 150 on a scale of 1-300, which is essentially 50 percent, exactly as I described:

Xiaotong (Tom) Zhu joined Tesla in 2014. Before that Zhu was Vice President for Kaibo Engineering Group, a China-based project management firm that focuses on overseas projects (One Belt – One Road) invested by the Chinese government.
One would think a project manager tied to the key initiatives of Chairman Xi, would have deep CCP ties. There is also speculation that Mr. Musk may be assigning Mr. Zhu to be the lead of Tesla internationally.

That's right. And sources tell me that before Baker, who left the FBI under a cloud of scandal, was hired by Twitter in June 2020 to head its litigation department, he had interviewed for a job at -- you guessed it -- Perkins Coie. Musk belatedly fired Baker yesterday as Twitter's deputy general counsel for allegedly suppressing evidence Twitter conspired with the FBI to interfere in the 2020 election. It's not immediately known if Musk will seek new outside legal counsel.
