Man Charged with Felony Theft Identified as 'Gender Fluid' Biden Official

Sam Brinton, who originally made headlines for being “gender fluid” and receiving a position in the Biden administration at the U.S. Department of Energy, made the news again for being charged with a felony after allegedly stealing luggage at the Minneapolis−Saint Paul International Airport.

Earlier in the year, Brinton became the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Office of Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition at the Energy Department, as he announced on Twitter in June.

“It’s official. As of June 19th, I now serve my nation as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition in the Office of Nuclear Energy in the Department of Energy,” Brinton tweeted.

“As one of if not the very first openly genderfluid individuals in federal government leadership, I was welcomed with open arms into the Department of Energy all the way up to the Secretary whom I shared the stage with in a Pride month celebration panel just today,” Brinton added in the Twitter thread.

Brinton also has a background as a “non-binary drag queen” and is a transgender activist, notably associated with the Order of Perpetual Indulgence, “a non-profit group who dress up as nuns to raise awareness of sexual intolerance and transphobia,” the Daily Mail reported.

But, on Sept. 16 there was a complaint at the MSP airport from a female that her bag was missing when she went to pick it up at baggage claim, Alpha News reported.

Law enforcement checked surveillance video which reportedly showed Brinton taking the bag and removing the luggage tag and then returning to the airport two days later with the bag.

Later, surveillance video also reportedly showed Brinton with the bag yet again on Oct. 9 at the Dulles International Airport in Virginia, Alpha News reported.

The woman to whom the bag originally belonged to, claimed that the bag and her belonging in it were worth over $2,000, Alpha News noted.

According to Alpha News’ reporting, the police asked Brinton about the bag and he admitted that he had taken it but that his clothes were in it.

“If I had taken the wrong bag, I am happy to return it, but I don’t have any clothes for another individual. That was my clothes when I opened the bag,” Brinton reportedly told the police.

Alpha News reported that Brinton is scheduled for a hearing on Dec. 19 in Hennepin County, Minnesota.

The Biden administration's non-binary nuclear waste guru was a presenter at a fetish conference in LA, weeks after admitting stealing a woman's suitcase at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

Last Saturday, Sam Brinton, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Office of Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition, who could be facing five years in prison for the bag theft, presented a seminar titled: 'Spanking: From Calculus To Chemistry.'

The seminar was held at Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites in Los Angeles, where Brinton, 34, stayed on Friday and Saturday night. The event was titled: 'LA Leather Getaway' and was sponsored by CLAW Corp., a national leather charity.

Brinton, who presented at the event under the pseudonym, NuclearNerd, has been teaching their 'Physics of Kink' class at universities and community events 'across the country for years,' according to their profile on CLAW's website.

The bio goes on to say: 'They have been active in the kink world since 2013, host monthly kink parties in their dungeon in Washington, DC, and estimate they have spanked over 2,000 cute butts.'

Brinton is listed in CLAW's 2019 year book under the name Sir Sam Brinton where they taught a class on the 'Newtonian physics of spanking.' They added: 'Physics is a pivotal part of the kink experience.' They were pictured at the event in 2021 as well.

Since 2019, Brinton has been married to their husband, Kevin Rieck. The couple began dating in 2015.





DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal that Brinton maintains a profile on the gay fetish hookup app, Recon.

Brinton describes himself as being an MIT graduate but adds that they is 'more social than most.'

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — An energy department official is accused of stealing luggage from Harry Reid International Airport, the 8 News Now Investigators learned Thursday.

A felony warrant was issued for Sam Brinton, a deputy assistant secretary, sources said. The charge is for grand larceny with a value between $1,200 and $5,000, records showed.

Brinton is a deputy assistant secretary of the office of spent fuel and waste disposition, according to the Office of Nuclear Energy’s website.

Brinton faces charges for a similar incident at the Minneapolis airport. He was on leave after charges were filed in connection with that incident, an energy department spokesman said in November.

Sam Brinton, the “nonbinary” activist tapped by Joe Biden for a key nuclear role before he was fired for stealing women’s clothes, was arrested again Wednesday night as a “fugitive from justice” for allegedly stealing luggage, The Daily Wire has learned.

Montgomery County, Maryland, police arrested him at his home on Wednesday, police logs show. He is currently in jail and being held without bond. A judge denied Brinton’s request to turn himself in and ordered him extradited to Virginia on grand larceny charges.

A neighbor told The Daily Wire that “four unmarked police showed up last night, they would not let his spouse Kevin leave. After about an hour Sam Brinton was escorted out in handcuffs.”

The former Biden official pleaded “no contest” to misdemeanor theft last month after he was caught on video allegedly stealing luggage at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. Brinton was initially charged with a felony when police believed he allegedly stole $3,670 worth of items, but he agreed to pay the victim more than $3,500 in restitution and received a suspended 180-day jail sentence, which meant he would serve no time behind bars as long as he stayed out of trouble.

That wasn’t Brinton’s only other alleged luggage theft, however. Last year, Brinton was charged with stealing a woman’s suitcase from the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport. Brinton allegedly removed a luggage tag from a navy blue Vera Bradley suitcase bag, dropped it into his handbag, and “then left the area at a quick pace” on September 16, 2022, according to a criminal complaint.

Sam Brinton, the former Biden Energy Department official who identifies as "non-binary," has been released on bond after spending two weeks behind bars on Grand Larceny charges.

Brinton, 35, of Rockville, Maryland was taken into custody on May 17 as a "fugitive from justice" over allegations of stolen luggage that occurred at Reagan National Airport in February, marking the third time he has been accused of lifting others' personal luggage at airports.

On Thursday, a judge released Brinton on a $5,000 bond after the former Biden official appeared before a magistrate, who was extradited to Arlington County in Virginia.

Brinton, who acted as Biden's former deputy assistant secretary for spent fuel and waste disposal in the Office of Nuclear Energy, was fired from the Biden administration after being charged in two other unrelated baggage theft cases which have since been closed.

In October 2022, Brinton was charged for allegedly stealing a Vera Bradley bag in September at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport.

He was later captured on video taking luggage at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. Brinton was charged, pleaded no contest and agreed to pay $3,670.74 in restitution for the luggage, jewelry and makeup, as well as undergo a mental health evaluation, NY Post reports.

Brinton's most recent arrest as a "fugitive from justice" stemmed from accusations of baggage theft dating back to 2018, when Brinton took luggage belonging to a Tanzanian fashion designer.

Brinton was later seen in pictures allegedly wearing her one-of-a-kind designs that had been in the suitcase, according to the designer.

The spokesman for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police, James Johnson, said airport police "executed a search warrant May 17 in Montgomery County, Maryland, in connection with allegations of stolen property in luggage from Reagan National Airport that was brought to the department's attention in February 2023."

Johnson added, "With the assistance of Montgomery County Police, Samuel Otis Brinton, age 35, of Rockville, Maryland, was taken into custody pending charges of Grand Larceny."
