    Statists Say the Darndest Things

“The right to life is the source of all rights—and the right to property is their only implementation. Without property rights, no other rights are possible. Since man has to sustain his life by his own effort, the man who has no right to the product of his effort has no means to sustain his life. The man who produces while others dispose of his product, is a slave.”

    I’d agree with that.

Unfortunately, he’s not very popular around here any more.

If I were on an island with 50 people the first thing I would do personally is recruit 25 other people to join my army and get the other 25 to do our bidding.

But that's just me I suppose
It's all about taking action and not being lazy. So you do the work, whether it's fitness or whatever. It's about getting up, motivating yourself and just doing it.

There's really only so many ways to say, statism is bad, before the content starts to go stale/repetitive/boring

And the first thing I’d do is contract with the other 25 people for our mutual defense, secure some high ground and tell you and your “army” to pound sand.

But that’s just me I suppose. Well me and anyone else who values their freedom and is determined to hold on to it.

If that’s all you get out of Larkin’s stuff I’d suggest that maybe you’re only glancing at the surface and need to dig deeper and think harder.

And hey, repetition is the mother of retention and the fact that statism is bad could use to be retained a little more around here lately.

Or maybe he's just preaching to the choir. And all his attempts to not preach to the choir, is just more... preaching to the choir.

Not you and your flock of Karens. I guarantee it.

Me, I would be worthless in a fight, I would just pretend to go chasing after a runner, while everyone else fights.

But my team would be hand-picked alpha Chad's and Deshawn's, that I assure you, no Karen's no sir no females at all except colored females if they brought knives (which tbh, they probably did)

Yes, I get it, keep chanting USA, Biden, the next "R" who runs, why bother with educating people and promoting actual freedom.

One thing I try to do is educate people on the uselessness of educating people

    Which is admittedly, also useless.

There's a lot of useful things we can do. But educating people, besides yourself, is not among those things

Expecting an overwhelming number of minds to change overnight is of course ridiculous. But, I have evolved in my thinking, others in my circle have also. We all start somewhere, from indoctrination at an early age to xyz. The idea is to reach those looking for answers before they become consumed by the statists and keep the spark lit. It is freeing ones own mind and passing it along, hopefully creating small cell communities.

That's pretty unimpressive. Real statists would leverage the power of a small minority of the population to get the remaining supermajority to serve them.
There is nothing to fear from globalism, free trade and a single worldwide currency, but a globalism where free trade is competitively subsidized by each nation, a continuous trade war is dictated by the WTO, and the single currency is pure fiat, fear is justified. That type of globalism is destined to collapse into economic despair, inflationism and protectionism and managed by resurgent militant nationalism.

Sure, but it never starts off that way. You have to conquer with overwhelming force, and taper it down over time. Takes skill, timing, and finesse to do this appropriately.
