Which is, very simply, that you cannot hold the ideas you say you have and at the same time, have a proper understanding of the role of government and free men.

I don't have an answer on who does the background checks.
The Sullivan Act, I don't know move to another state.
As far as who conducts training classes? How about your local shooting club.

    He's not worth debating.
He's either here to mock us or he is here to find weak people to lead astray.

Not worth debating? This is a great thread with a good banter going back and forth.

The only people I will mock are Q supporters.

As far as leading people astray. How? Most people on here know more than me. I have around five hundred post in ten and a half years. Most of the regular users have post counts in the tens of thousands. Also if I can lead someone astray playing devil's advocate. They deserve to be led astray.

Why don't you quit trying to squelch conversation. No ones putting a gun to your head and forcing you to be involved in this thread.

As far as leading people astray, is he telling people to vote for Trump like you do? Nothing worse than a hypocrite.

Crenshaw once again being a voice of reason.

"I'm impressed Democrats finally got us to say, 'Defund the FBI,'" Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) told Axios. "That makes you look unserious, when you start talking like that."

I agree the FBI is a wonderful organization and I think their funding should be increased.

    Also the DHS.

    And the IRS.

The use of that word does not flow well in that sentence structure, but unserious is actually a word.

    He's right.

    "Defund the FBI"?

    That's totally unserious.

It should be "Abolish the FBI".

It's not in my Webster's, which was printed on Memory-Hole-resistant paper in 1975. So, I claim Boomer's Rights. I don't have to recognize that as part of the English Language.

Life isn't so short you can't invest the two extra keystrokes. The effort required is not serious.

    Nice strawman.
I don't think we should increase funding to the FBI.
A more adult statement than "defund the FBI." Would be something along the lines of phase out the FBI. Let the other agencies within the Department of Justice absorb it. Agencies such as the ATF, DEA, US Marshals, and Interpol Washington. Then I open the door to the question: are any of those agencies necessary?

Wow I never thought about it that way. Thanks for the constructive clarification, this thread is really educational

Bickering and insults removed. We can turn the question of Crenshaw into a poll (which is often done after the debating) if there is nothing more to discuss about Crenshaw.

Just finished listening to Dan Crenshaw's book Fortitude: American Resilience in the Age of Outrage on Audible. I normally stay away from books like this because most of these books turn into a self congratulatory circle jerk.

I listen to a lot of audiobooks and most of them leave no impact on me. That was not the case with this book. I was left with a new found respect for Congressman Crenshaw. Crenshaw is a very level headed pragmatic guy and his ability to overcome setbacks and challenges is admirable.

I know a lot of people will never be able to look past their preconceived notions of Crenshaw and read or listen to his book. I know I could never listen to or read a Hillary Clinton book.

If Dan Crenshaw's career in politics ended tomorrow he would a bright future narrating audiobooks. Like I said I listened to a lot of audiobooks and Dan Crenshaw is one of if not the best narrator I have ever heard.

Have you read The Long Game? (Mitch McConnell's memoir)

Mitch McConnell has had a number of difficult challenges in his life and his memoir really brings new perspective into the strength & persistence of his character.

I wonder if Dan Crenshaw would be willing to narrate the audiobook of McConnell's memoir, that would be amazing.

Crenshaw / McConnell would be an amazing 2024 ticket, only really viable if Trump doesn't run though

    McConnell is 80 years old.
I fear when Crenshaw runs they'll try to own the liberals by having a Crenshaw/Haley or Crenshaw/Noem ticket. I would prefer a Crenshaw/Paul or Crenshaw/Massie ticket. Yeah, I know that is highly unlikely.

If you already support Crenshaw, why would you think any less of Haley (who I don't see as any different from Crenshaw) or Noem (who is easily better)?
There is nothing to fear from globalism, free trade and a single worldwide currency, but a globalism where free trade is competitively subsidized by each nation, a continuous trade war is dictated by the WTO, and the single currency is pure fiat, fear is justified. That type of globalism is destined to collapse into economic despair, inflationism and protectionism and managed by resurgent militant nationalism.
