Telltale sign of an authoritarian regime: prosecuting political opponents

Telltale sign of an authoritarian regime is when those in power target & prosecute their political opponents and protect their own. That's exactly what the Biden/Harris Admin are doing - undermining our democracy, eroding our trust in the rule of law & equal justice for all.

    Biden’s DOJ: political hit squad

Steve Bannon has been charged with contempt of Congress & found guilty, while Brennan, Clapper & others who lied to Congress have never been charged or prosecuted. This just shows yet again how the DOJ has been weaponized by those in power to go after their political opponents.

Taking people's guns would also constitute as a sign of an authoritarian regime.

And debasing the currency. And starving people.

I've never seen a regime work so hard at starving people. But then, the Breadbasket of the World sits in the middle of this continent, so they'd have to.

In any case, the warning signs are so obvious that I feel like I'm being slapped in the face with them.

    I'm torn.

On the one hand, that woman is a Democrat, which is deeply auto-assassinating. Then there is the drivel that has spewed forth from yer lefty-yap. All of that relegates her to the list of those around whose necks my tightening, blacksmith's fingers wish to go.

On the other hand, there is this change in not only what she is saying, but the ways in which she expresses herself, indicating a possible change in world view, or at least an acknowledgment that the people for whom she was a willing and seemingly eager henchman are wickedly corrupt. But she's a politician, and I am not keen to get my sphincter stretched at her hands with a king-sized "gotcha!". Political dregs such as herself rarely have attacks of conscience and alter their views and come to some detectable level of sense and basic decency, so my reticence to accept that she may be coming around to such is well justified.

Wondering what you all think on this. I sooner accept Republicans going to the dark side than Democrats coming to the comparative light, humans being what they tend to be. But if she's genuine, then one more voice in the camp of reason and truth is always welcome.

There is only one correct way: freedom. All other solutions are non-solutions.
