My thoughts:
1) If you Google SSRI side effects, all of the top search results list "suicidal thoughts" as one of the side effects. Suicide by cop?

Suicide risk and antidepressants
Most antidepressants are generally safe, but the FDA requires that all antidepressants carry black box warnings, the strictest warnings for prescriptions. In some cases, children, teenagers and young adults under 25 may have an increase in suicidal thoughts or behavior when taking antidepressants, especially in the first few weeks after starting or when the dose is changed.
Anyone taking an antidepressant should be watched closely for worsening depression or unusual behavior. If you or someone you know has suicidal thoughts when taking an antidepressant, immediately contact your doctor or get emergency help.
Keep in mind that antidepressants are more likely to reduce suicide risk in the long run by improving mood.
2) Caucasians are SIGNIFICANTLY more likely to be on SSRIs than are POCs.

Yeah, I agree with @
Anti Federalist that if you include "Gangbanger with bad aim trying to do a drive by" you get a different picture of a mass shooter. But if you're talking about someone just snapping and going and shooting up a school or shopping mall (or parade), you're more likely to get a white person. That doesn't mean white people are inherently "evil." The biggest group for using SSRIs are white women. But women, in general, are more likely to choose a less violent means of suicide like poison.
3) While I am AGAINST red flag laws, a law that took into account SSRI prescriptions and the potential for violence might not be a bad thing depending on how it's crafted. Maybe intensive and ongoing counseling should be required for these prescriptions? It sounds like the biggest danger is right after the prescription is given or changed.
