Why Westerns Matter (And Should Again) - Rageaholic Cinema

I've always thought that westerns pretty much embodied the American spirit of independence and self-sufficiency. Glad to find I'm not the only one.

That was entertaining. Two movies I’d recommend if you haven’t seen them. “The Quick and The Dead” and “the Ballad Of Buster Scruggs”. Not your typical westerns but liked them both for different reasons.

It's time to saddle up and revive a genre that is primed for revivification.

The Quick and The Dead Was excellent. All-Star cast, excellent writing and directing, a truly good movie.

I just saw Buster Scruggs a few weeks ago. Definitely atypical, really quirky and DARK. I wasn't sure, at first whether I liked it or not, but ultimately I'd have to say yes, I do. Not exactly John Wayne, but it has its place.

    Touche!

What, you been hacking my playlists or something? First The Critical Drinker, now Razorfist, what's next? The Quartering? ClownfishTV? Nerdrotic?

Or maybe Garand Thumb, or Brandon Herrera?

I hope you don't play guitar too, or all my good music channels are at risk too!
