    1776 Restoration Movement

    Watch. Be informed.

Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

I feel like this movement should have been created decades ago as opposed to now.

And you'd be correct. And now?

Well now we see what's going on. We see that "half" of the country DOES NOT WANT TO GO BACK to the principles of 1776. "Educating" them won't work. The other "half" who would be more in line with this 1776 stuff are stuck in the past. Here's the problem with that: going back in time, to my knowledge, hasn't worked. Most people don't want to hold onto ideals 200+ years old. Some people may want to work within reasonable parameters that espouse similar beliefs but this 1776 stuff is a losing proposition. Even its labeling is now a loser, in my unprofessional, inexpert, and humble opinion.

We've got to first figure out how to work with modern day words, ideals, etc. even if under the frame 1776 is there. But the public can't see that or know it, else they'll run away. And let's be real: most of the 1776 folks are going to be in their 60s-70s (just like the crowd in the video) when the majority need to be in their 20s, 30s. Good luck converting 20 and 30 year old Americans today that principles of 1776 need to be brought back or pushed forward.

So, I'm not here to rain on people's parade. I'm not here to start an argument. I'm here to say that another strategy is needed, but I don't know what it is.

I like to hope a peaceful resolution is possible.. given the 2 options of Peace and War.

The plan is for proactive Civil Disobedience..
and the more Hearty Souls gathered , the greater the impact..

If this movement fails,, Violence and war will be all that is left..

I want to encourage it's growth.

    "Ripple"

If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine
And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung
Would you hear my voice come through the music?
Would you hold it near as it were your own?

    It's a hand-me-down, the thoughts are broken
    Perhaps they're better left unsung
    I don't know, don't really care
Let there be songs to fill the air

    Ripple in still water
When there is no pebble tossed
    Nor wind to blow

Reach out your hand if your cup be empty
If your cup is full may it be again
Let it be known there is a fountain
That was not made by the hands of men

There is a road, no simple highway
Between the dawn and the dark of night
And if you go no one may follow
That path is for your steps alone

    Ripple in still water
When there is no pebble tossed
    Nor wind to blow

You, who choose to lead, must follow
But if you fall you fall alone
If you should stand then who's to guide you?

If I knew the way I would take you home

    1776 Restoration Movement Mission Statement

1776 Restoration Movement stands UNITED to peacefully redress our grievances and demand OUR government restore the Rule of Law and restore Our Constitutional Rights.

The fear of government becoming too powerful worried the founders of this great nation. They had the foresight to include amendments to the United States Constitution that guarantee People’s rights and provide the surety that no future U.S. politician or president can ever disregard or take away.

We the People have forgotten the real power we possess.

In the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights, the founders of this great nation safeguarded WE THE PEOPLE from any future power-hungry group or individuals attempt to establish tyrannical rule. Further, the Bill of Rights guarantees ALL of us the Right to Free exercise of Religion, of Speech, of Press, the Right of the People to Peacefully Assemble, and the Right of the People to Petition the Government for Redress of Grievances. Congress is prohibited from infringing upon ANY of these rights.

It is time to reclaim OUR voice from the mainstream media, tyrannical politicians, corporations, and other groups who attempt to stifle us. They do not represent the TRUE voice of WE the People. They do not represent US. We are picking up the bullhorn and making ourselves HEARD.

The 1776 Restoration Movement is not only red; we aren't only blue. WE are Red, White, and Blue, WE are freedom-loving Americans, UNITED in our mission.

This great and beautiful nation belongs to ALL of us.

The 1776 Restoration Movement is drawing that line in the sand.

It's past time to shine the light of Truth on the tyrannical.

We must exercise our God-given and Constitutionally-granted Rights to address the grievances of We the PEOPLE. Will you join us to preserve these rights and defend OUR Republic?
Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

The current population of the United States is 334.5 million. Let's just say only 1 in 100 were really dedicated to the "ideals of 1776." Well, that's 3.345 million people. That's one hell of an army. I'm not talking a military army as I'm opposed to voting. Nor am I talking a "voting" army because I no longer think voting is all that effective. I am talking am army of influencers. And no, I'm not talking about the vapid gen Z types with a million followers on Instagram and Tik-Tok. I'm talking about people who learn some pertinent facts and are willing to share those facts to everyone they run into. You don't have to convince everyone of everything. 75 percent of Americans think the country is on the "wrong track" right now. That's a supermajority. I'm sure there is great disagreement about what's "wrong" about the track. But I'm pretty sure most don't like the idea that "You won't own anything and you will be happy." (The great reset). How many gen Zers who think socialism is so trendy really want to part will all of their crap and force their parents to sell their home that they might still live in or expect to inherit someday? $5.00 per gallon gas isn't popular. You won't find many gen-z types who say "I like high gas prices because that will stop global warming." Instead....they shift the blame from Biden (where it actually belongs) to those "greedy oil companies." @Anti Federalist posted a very good graphic that shows why gas prices are so high. And look at the history of 1776. Not all of the colonists supported that, especially at the beginning. At the ideals were flawed because even after 1776 we still had slavery. I'm not bringing slavery up as some people do to attack the American revolution. I'm bringing it up to show human nature. People want liberty for themselves and their own believes. So, this 3.35 million person army needs to show the rest of the 75% supermajority what's really at stake if they continue to go along with business as usual.

    Ok, where are they all?
And when they show up, how quickly will they be made insignificant or slandered by the controlled MSM?

This is where this method becomes flawed and why two alternatives have been popping up the last few years:

    1) Create a parallel society
    2) Take over existing institutions

I'll throw in a third option that has floated around but will likely never occur (even though it legally, morally, and physically SHOULD): secession

The second option is basically not viable and most of us ("us" loosely being right of center types or just liberty types - not the West Coast/East Coast Commies) know this. To take over the existing institutions requires a massive culture change, one on a serious scale only seen maybe once or twice in this country's history + decades to implement changes.

The first option is arguably the most viable at this moment: create "our" own banks, companies, social media, etc. (ala Gab) that can't be 100% controlled by the left and wokism, etc.

To add another rebuttal, doesn't the LP have millions of members across the U.S.? And what has that done for "liberty?" You can argue the LP hasn't been unified or has lacked proper leadership, etc. and you'd make some great points. But then I'll ask, who will lead this rally of 3 million Americans (who will be quickly cast aside/slandered) scattered across 50 states while maintaining a positive image to the majority of the general population? I'm currently operating under the infamous 30/30/40 rule that applied to covid as I think it's probably fairly accurate:

    30% of Americans are socialists/commies
30% of Americans are "right wing"
The remaining 40% are the stupid general population, fence riding types. "Undecided voters" who can be swayed either way by an "effective" argument.

I think it's a better strategy to coalition with existing parties, groups, institutions, etc. that are looking forward and not backward. You won't win over any younger people with "1776" slapped on the hood. Younger people have absolutely no idea about our history and have been taught for years through public schools to hate and scoff at the old white dudes who owned slaves and were deists.

That's the truth that everyone on here needs to accept. It's a losing strategy and as I told pcosmar earlier, I'm not here to argue about it but I feel people should know. But please, feel free to continue on - I won't stop anyone from doing what they want here. Please try to get it to grow by all means, but don't be surprised when it doesn't fire up. We've tried all of these things (slogans, banners, logos, sayings, quotes, etc.) for years and none gain any meaningful traction. Except one: the TEA Parties. And we saw how quickly those were co-opted AND were ridiculed/slandered by the MSM, thus turning off other people from joining or looking into them. And within a few years it died off. Where is the TEA Party now? In the cemetery.

You understand that EVERY solution that you have proposed requires a critical mass to be successful and EVERY critical mass that might coalease around any solution you have proposed risks being marginalized, slandered or controlled?

To take over the existing institutions requires a massive culture change, one on a serious scale only seen maybe once or twice in this country's history + decades to implement changes.
The reason certain movements are successful is that the realize the need for "massive culture change" and set about to do that regardless of the obstacles in the way. I remember 30 years ago seeing young people in the streets walking around "evangelizing" to anyone they could come in contact with about the need to do something about "global warming." And now? We have $5.00 per gallon gas. The rainbow community put that out that creepy video that sang "We're coming for your children" and they weren't lying. And on the flipside, Christianity itself caused a major cultural change from within a brutal pagan polytheistic empire. I saw a video where judo Olympic medalist Dr. Roddy Ferguson explained to a judo YouTuber what it would take to make it to the Olympics. It was HELLA work! And the first year was nothing but strength training. And that's after the perspective Olympian already had years of judo under his belt.

So yeah...anything that's worth doing will be a lot of work over a long period of time.

The first option is arguably the most viable at this moment: create "our" own banks, companies, social media, etc. (ala Gab) that can't be 100% controlled by the left and wokism, etc.

I'm currently operating under the infamous 30/30/40 rule that applied to covid as I think it's probably fairly accurate:
You can if you wish. Really leaderless resistance is best. Who do you expect to join your liberty banking system or secession movement or whatever else you propose? And the majority of the rest of the population is already unhappy with the direction of where the country is going. Rather than trying to convince that 75% that you have all of the answers, find out what they'd like to see different and tap into it.

    30% of Americans are socialists/commies
30% of Americans are "right wing"
The remaining 40% are the stupid general population, fence riding types. "Undecided voters" who can be swayed either way by an "effective" argument.
The overwhelming majority of all of those "subgroups" you listed are unhappy with inflation and high gas prices. They're just ignorant about the cause. So...they need to be educated about the real causes.....so....your solution is...? It's easy to say "That won't work" without coming up with an actual, articulated and viable solution for what will work.

Wait a second. You just said that taking over existing institutions is "basically not viable." I mean...did you actually think this all the way through? Or is your "solution" to just "work with" and not try to "take over" anything? Ummm....that's what the tea party did. Actually that's lamer than what the Tea Party did. I tell you what. You do you. PCOSMAR can do him. I don't think you have proposed anything any more viable than anything you are arguing against. But....prove me wrong. Document what you're doing with your proposal and let's see how far you've gotten in a year.

That's the truth that everyone on here needs to accept. It's a losing strategy and as I told pcosmar earlier, I'm not here to argue about it but I feel people should know. What you've proposed sounds like a watered down version of the tea party to me. But flesh it out and explain to me why I'm wrong.

When Ron Paul bowed out a year or two after 2012, the Liberty Movement died. I've been here since 2011 and saw it with my own eyes. These forums died. The push to get libertarians within the GOP died. I'm not sure every movement is solid without a leader, although it'd be nice sometimes. I think having a face helps a lot of people.

Good luck educating. I thought we've been trying to do that since 2007 and how far has it gotten us in the bigger picture? This conversation has ran its course on this forum before and at the end of the day, we are no freer now than we were in 2007. Far less freer now, actually. We need to realize there's a bigger group of people (the majority) who are willfully ignorant and don't want to be "educated" nor "free." They want to be "taken care of."

Most of what you said I've already said before you above. I don't have a solution, per se. I don't know what to do or where to go. I'm just saying that starting up yet another 1776 thing probably isn't going to work because in the past they burn out or are co-opted, etc. I already said above that I wish everyone the best and want them to do what they want.

What you've proposed sounds like a watered down version of the tea party to me. But flesh it out and explain to me why I'm wrong.

I don't need to explain anything more than I already have. If you want to sit and argue (something libertarians are fantastically good at while world burns down around them) that's fine, but I'm done here for two reasons: I don't feel like going back and forth and I feel this thread is being overtaken from its original purpose and I don't wish to do that anymore.

I saw you started another thread about how to start a caucus which sounds like what we've tried before that, as you've rightly pointed out, only had limited success. So...I'm not following what you're trying to say but that's okay. I wish you the best in your endeavors. I wish Pete the best in his. What we tried in the past and failed/succeeded at is only worthwhile to the point of us learning and improving from it. You don't know what works until you try it...again...and again...improving with each iteration. Edison and the lightbulb. The Wright Brothers and their airplane. The space program and just about every endeavor ever accomplished comes for trial, error, improvement and re-trial. Yeah this forum isn't what it used to be. But where are the Mitt Romney, John McCain and Fred Thompson forums?

    Q&A panel discussion,

Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

    Bryant Bostrom

To everyone who loved our dad Bryant, we want to let those who loved him like family know that he is now in the arms of Jesus. He went to be with our Lord at 1:30 am, Tuesday June 28th.
We have appreciated all your prayers and how much you cared for him while he was living out his last days doing what he loved, standing for FREEDOM.
He was in awe of how his testimony impacted people’s lives all over the world. We’re so thankful for the additional 6 months that God gave him to do just that, touch people’s hearts.
These coming days will be challenging. Our hearts are broken, but as the scripture says in 2 Corinthians 5:8, we are confident that although he’s absent from the body, he’s now present with the Lord. That gives us much peace. Knowing that he has accomplished his dream of initially joining The Peoples Convoy, and finally his beloved 1776 Restoration Movement, we are rejoicing with him as he has completed the last leg, this time accompanied by Angels.
We can’t begin to respond to everyone’s messages and posts, as there have been thousands, but we wanted you all to know who’ve been awaiting an update.
We have hope, that because of Jesus, we will all see him again.
