This isn't something that should splinter the GOP. Every person that's part of the GOP should logically be against all foreign aid to Ukraine.

Nearly all government spending follows the circle:

Congress authorizes spending > money gets sent to foreign or domestic institutions > those institutions take a percentage and funnel it to congressional members' families and friends > those family and friends support incumbent campaigns > Congress authorizes more spending >>>>>

When you say "logic", I think you're looking at the pretense for the laundering campaign. It really doesn't matter if they're sending it to foreign nations, the military industrial complex, the medical industrial complex, the drug war, or anywhere else. It only becomes "logical" when you consider that they are not looking out for America's interests - they are looking out for their own.

Oh yeah, because the GOP has been a huge proponent of "small government" since Bush 43...

The term "RINO" (Republican In Name Only) gets bandied about a lot.

But it's the Paul/Massie types who are the RINOs, not the Bush/McCain/Rubio/McConnell/McCarthy types.

Well at least progress is being made. Back in 2003 only Ron Paul was against the war in Iraq.

Edit: Of course we both know this is because a democrat holds the Whitehouse. Some republicans were willing to speak out against Clinton's war in Bosnia too.
