The question here is whether Australia has an interest in worrying about the Solomon Islands. After all, they are closer to them than China is.

Looks like the Chinese probably bought themselves a few politicians and with them the Solomon Islands. Wonder if any US politicians made the introductions for them? Buying US politicians seem to be a very effective strategy by the Chinese.
