I thought I remembered hearing about that passing. Only thing is, I don't know how the Director is going to make sure he got all of them registered. Does he spend his days at the southern border where the NGOs are shipping them on the taxpayer dime?

As we both know, that's the whole entire point of walls and entry points; it funnels them for processing. It only benefits the government while we get to pay for it all. God forbid if anybody escapes being a government-owned subject "asset".

I don't know about that.... read the very next paragraph.

(2) This section shall not apply to any alien lawfully admitted
to the United States as a nonimmigrant under section 101(a)(15) of the
Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1101) for so long as he
continues to maintain a lawful nonimmigrant status in the United
States.

Maintain "lawful nonimmigrant status" and your golden.
