Exclamation One step closer to war with Russia over Ukraine

Joe Biden Warns Vladimir Putin He Will Be Tougher than Barack Obama to Protect Ukraine

    CHARLIE SPIERING7 Dec 2021

President Joe Biden warned Russian President Vladimir Putin that he would be tougher than former President Barack Obama on the issue of Ukraine, as the two leaders spoke on a video call on Tuesday.

After the meeting, Biden’s national security advisor Jake Sullivan said the president warned Putin not to repeat his incursion into Ukrainian territory after he annexed Crimea in 2014 when Obama was president and Biden was vice president.

“I will look you in the eye and tell you, as President Biden looked President Putin in the eye and told him today, that things we did not do in 2014 we are prepared to do now,” Sullivan told reporters at the daily press briefing.
Sullivan said Biden would deploy “clear and decisive” actions, including economic sanctions to punish Russia if they invaded Ukraine.

“The measures we have put on the table are designed to show the Russian government that should it choose to engage in such an invasion, there will be those consequences,” he said.
Biden’s staff did not permit journalists to witness the beginning of the video call between the two leaders or take pictures of the event, but they issued a readout afterward.

“President Biden reiterated his support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and called for de-escalation and a return to diplomacy,” the White House said after the call.

The Kremlin released a photo of the meeting via Sputnik, which showed Putin sitting in front of a video monitor screen with Biden waving at him.

Biden sought out the call as intelligence showed that Putin was escalating the build-up of military forces on the Russia/Ukraine border.

The White House said Biden “voiced the deep concerns of the United States and our European Allies about Russia’s escalation of forces surrounding Ukraine” during the call.

Putin continues demanding that Ukraine not be allowed to join the NATO alliance, an assertion considered a non-starter by United States.

Biden warned Putin the United States and its allies would respond with “strong economic and other measures” if he escalated a military conflict with Ukraine.

The White House also said Biden discussed ransomware and the issue of Iran pursuing a nuclear weapon.

“The two presidents tasked their teams to follow up, and the U.S. will do so in close coordination with allies and partners,” the readout concluded.

There isn't going to be a war with Russia. Biden will respond with a strongly worded letter and some meaningless sanctions

Biden and his son have probably already figured out a way to profit. Probably cut a deal with Putin if their business interests in Ukraine come under Russian control.

Hmm. Interesting timing. What is happening with this case?

Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 (MH17/MAS17)[a] was a scheduled passenger flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur that was shot down on 17 July 2014 while flying over eastern Ukraine. All 283 passengers and 15 crew were killed.[3] Contact with the aircraft, a Boeing 777-200ER, was lost when it was about 50 km (31 mi) from the Ukraine–Russia border, and wreckage of the aircraft fell near Hrabove in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine, 40 km (25 mi) from the border.[4] The shoot-down occurred in the War in Donbas in an area controlled by pro-Russian rebels.[5]
    ...
On 19 June 2019, the Dutch Public Prosecution Service charged four people with murder in connection with the shooting down of the aircraft: three Russians, Igor Girkin, Sergey Dubinsky, and Oleg Pulatov, and one Ukrainian, Leonid Kharchenko. International arrest warrants were issued in respect of each of the accused.[251] One of the suspects, Lieutenant Colonel Oleg Pulatov, expressed his intention to join the legal process by being represented in court. Hearings in the trial began at the District Court of The Hague on 9 March 2020, with none of the accused in attendance.[252][253][254] Igor Girkin gave an interview to British journalist Graham Phillips in which Girkin said that he would not attend the trial because he did not recognise the court's jurisdiction over Russian citizens.
    ...
On 10 July 2020, the Dutch government declared that it had decided to take Russia to the European Court of Human Rights for "its role in the downing" of Flight MH17. By doing so, it said, it was "offering maximum support" to the individual cases already brought to the Court by the victims' families.[268][269]

On 7 June 2021, the trial moved on to the evidence phase, during which lawyers and judges will discuss their findings. Witnesses may also be called in to supply additional information.

A lot of aggressive moves by the Biden Admin and NATO this year...

In 2021, Russia criticized a massive NATO military exercise called Defender-Europe 21,[422][423] one of the largest NATO-led military exercises in Europe in decades, which began in March 2021. It included "nearly simultaneous operations across more than 30 training areas" in central and eastern Europe.[424][425] The representative of Ukraine in the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbas, Alexey Arestovich, said that "A large-scale NATO exercise called Defender Europe 2021 has begun, which means "protect Europe." The scenario is that from the Baltic sea to the Black Sea, we are practicing for, well, let's put it directly, the war with Russia, the scenario of armed confrontation with Russia."[422] On 15 April 2021, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova claimed that in 2021 alone "NATO is planning seven military exercises in Ukraine. The active phase of the Defender Europe 2021 exercise, the most extensive exercise for many years, is to commence near Ukraine soon."[423]

In late March–early April 2021, the Russian military moved large quantities of arms and equipment from western and central Russia, and as far away as Siberia, into occupied Crimea and the Voronezh and Rostov oblasts of Russia.[426] A Janes intelligence specialist identified fourteen Russian military units from the Central Military District that had moved into the vicinity of the Russo-Ukrainian border, and called it the largest unannounced military movement since the 2014 invasion of Crimea.[427]
    ...
Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky spoke to American president Joe Biden and urged NATO members to speed up Ukraine's request for membership.[431][432]
    ...
In September 2021, Ukraine conducted military exercises with NATO forces. The Kremlin warned that NATO expanding military infrastructure in Ukraine would cross "red lines" for the Russian President Putin.[446]

In November 2021, the Russian Defense Ministry described the deployment of the U.S. warships to the Black Sea as a "threat to regional security and strategic stability." The ministry said in a statement, "The real goal behind the U.S. activities in the Black Sea region is exploring the theater of operations in case of Kyiv’s attempts to settle the conflict in the southeast by force."[447]

On 13 November, Ukrainian President announced that Russia has again amassed 100,000 troops in the border area.[448] In early November, reports of Russian military buildups prompted U.S. officials to warn the EU that Russia could be planning a potential invasion of Ukraine.[449][450] Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov denied allegations that Russia is preparing for a possible invasion of Ukraine.[451] He accused Ukraine of "planning aggressive actions against Donbass."[452] Peskov urged NATO to stop "concentrating a military fist" near Russia's borders and to stop arming Ukraine with modern weapons.

Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

I bet one of the reasons that will be given when we go to war with Russia is that they have to pay for "interfering" in the 2016 election.

“President Biden reiterated his support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and called for de-escalation and a return to diplomacy,” the White House said after the call.
So, this administration is willing to send American blood and American treasure to protect the border of Ukraine against invasion.

But will not lift a finger to stop, and in fact facilitates and encourages, the ongoing invasion of the United States across it's border, in direct and open defiance of the constitution's stated duty and the oath of office.

It's an interesting development and there is no telling where it may lead. I don't think Russia will bite. If it does it may have too much to chew on. It won't be about just Russia and the Ukraine.

Get with the program man, this is America now. Keeping the borders open is the only way Mexican children will have access to horned trans book readings.

Besides spreading the pedo globalhomo belief system is America's priority #1. Think of children that are not being educated and exposed with our Progressive values.

We were thinking along the same lines. Before I submitted that post I started to write that our government has become "The Great Satan" and other countries should stand their ground. But I clipped it like I do allot of things to tone it down a bit. LOL.

They won't unless they want the border shut down.
