    Quarantine discrimination

So some kid in one of my kid's college classes who had the shot got covid. My kid has not had the shot. They are quarantining my kid but not the others in the class who got the shot. My kid already tested negative. IMO clear cut discrimination case. It's proven that people who got the shot can spread it, so you can't quarantine my kid and not them without being discriminitory. She is looking at missing finals over this. Wants to go to the press, I told her maybe try ACLU first. If anyone has thoughts please share. My kid is not one to lay down and take this and will do what it takes to get back in class.

You have got to be kidding me. ACLU is fine with discriminating as long as it aligns with their politics? Should have known better. This country is so $#@!ed.

Pro-Se, or Pro-Per, states word their lawyerless suit filing differently.

File a suit and ask for an injunction at the same time.

No need to throw away money.

Yeah I doubt the ACLU is going to be very helpful.

Some of the "old school" ACLUers are still pretty good on things like, you know, civil liberties.

But the up-and-coming newer generation is taking over the org, and they are "woke" as hell.

If the goal is to get back into class, I would work with the college. Make the case to the teacher and go up the chain from there. Find an ally somewhere. Is there a board that oversees the college? Any elected people?

If you go the route of a lawsuit, they will probably be less cooperative. That is the route to go if you want to make a point. Maybe one of the internet lawyers from Rekieta Law chat could recommend an organization better than the ACLU.

But don't rule the suit out. Talking softly works better when you're carrying a big stick.

The only "civil liberties" that people like the ACLU and Howard Stern support is pornography. Oh yeah, and they also support that wacko neonazi that stands on the street corner and shouts the N-word, because that makes the 6 o'clock news and gives them a reason to exist.

Pro vaxxers are also insane and illogical when it comes to their fears. I know someone who was worried about me sending a client to their business because I wasn't vaccinated and they thought that I might infect that person before I sent them and that client would in turn infect them. I tried to explain that if they truly believe in the vaccine, they shouldn't fear Covid. Nope. Getting the vaccine seemed to make them more fearful. That marxist college professor probably has the same mentality, maybe more so.

Working on that more on Monday. So far just questioning it has got the abitrary 10 day quarantine down to 6. I'm hoping that just the mention of discrimination along with another negative test will put an end to it. My kid has grown up with me and has been taught from a young age to question everything, trust nobody and not to just let authority walk all over you.

If this causes loss of credits for a whole semester, then it will be time for a lawsuit. That's what we just decided.

Talk to a lawyer about writing a letter. Which lawyer? I don't know. Try all discrimination suit specialists in the neighborhood and see if anyone bites the bait.

A letter from a lawyer is an ounce of prevention that often pays off.
