Tustin police are investigating the alleged robbery of a member of the U.S. Secret Service whose possessions were taken at gunpoint.

On Saturday at 9:36 p.m., officers responded to a call of a possible robbery at the Tustin Field 1 residential community at Tustin Legacy — a former military base turned residential development.

Upon arriving, the officers discovered the victim was a member of the U.S. Secret Service whose bag was stolen at gunpoint, according to a police report. During the incident, officials state, a shooting occurred between the alleged robber and the agent.

It is unclear how many suspects were involved in the incident and what started the shooting.

The incident occurred the same night President Biden and former President Obama were in downtown Los Angeles at the Peacock Theater for a gala fundraiser for President Biden’s reelection campaign.

The Tustin Police Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment. It was not clear from the department’s press statement whether the agent who was robbed had been in Los Angeles to protect Biden or Obama.

Officials say the suspect or suspects have not yet been identified or located.

Tustin Police are looking for a 2004-06 silver Infiniti FX35 or a similar vehicle that was seen leaving the scene.

It is unknown whether the suspects were injured as a result of the incident.

Officers found some of the victim’s belongings in the area but did not disclose what they were.

The incident is still under investigation. Officials are asking for the public’s help in identifying the alleged robber. Anyone with information can call Detective Graciela Melendrez at (714) 573-3372 or email at gmelendrez@tustinca.org.

I explain that for some reason despite HD footage of the crime the California Highway Patrol is claiming that they can't even look for the suspect unless the motor cyclist comes forward.

Usually he is right on the money, but he missed the mark a bit on this.

The spokesman and organization he was mocking actually is about bicyclists and pedestrians and other anti-vehicle nonsense. Worthy of mocking, but that's beside the point. He actually said a "legal place" for them to do it, not "let's legalize street takeovers". It's not the worst idea in the world.

In the past, there were organized events for people to do donuts and other kinds of vehicle shows. People could race at tracks. In theory, it's all ok if they are doing this in a controlled area with a large space. The problem being liability, and the fact that just like the street takeovers, you eventually end up with violence, and gang bangers showing up. So the "legal" side shows were shut down. Now where does that lead?

IMHO, the actual illegal things that are being done are where the focus should be. Blocking streets, highways, freeways and bridges? Arson, shooting, destruction? Prosecute to the full extent of the law. There might even be a need for some tweeking of the laws.

If people want to go do donuts somewhere that is not effecting others or resulting in destruction, that's their business. That's not a problem.

As usual, officials always use these as excuses for budget increases. The real problem lies in the lack of arrests and prosecutions.

As we have seen, some cities can make arrests. And as San Francisco made clear before the arrival of Dear Leader Xi, many problems can be fixed almost overnight if they want to. But chaos is necessary for glorious communist revolution (and fleecing of America).

NEW: Police take 9 hours to respond after an Oakland, California gas station gets raided by dozens of thugs.

Oakland is practically a third-world country.

70 looters robbed a gas station on Friday morning, causing approximately $100,000 in losses.

An even more insane fact about the incident is that the thugs spent *40 minutes* ransacking the convenience store as police were nowhere to be seen.

$25,000 in cash was taken from the cash register and ATM.

"This is the hardest thing you could ever go through…especially if you’ve been put in sweat and tears day in and day out," the store owner said.
