Yeah, it's bad... Especially, since many of them have been spouting off for months about how the unvaccinated or unmasked are killing people. They created a sense of superiority for themselves based on what they thought was "science".
So, you're not just asking them to give up their pride and arrogance based on new information - you're asking them to kill off their superior sense of self. Very hard to do.
