New Hampshire bill to put secession on the ballot

"Our nation's ideological self-segregation is proceeding nicely." -- Michael Malice

Breaking: NH Legislator Submits Legislation To Divorce DC; Declare Independence
    https://libertyblock.com/breaking-nh...-independence/
    Elliot Axelman (14 September 2021)

On Monday afternoon, New Hampshire Representative Mike Sylvia officially submitted language to the Office Of Legislative Services for a constitutional amendment concurrent resolution (CACR). If the amendment passes the House and Senate with 60% of the vote in each chamber, it would be placed on the ballot in the November 2022 statewide election. If 66% of the voters choose to accept the amendment into the NH Constitution, it would immediately be added to our state’s governing document, and the Live Free or Die State would officially sever all ties with Washington DC, becoming a self-governing nation-state.

On September 1st, The Liberty Block published an article listing over 70 powerful reasons why Granite Staters should support state independence from the federal government. And then, Dictator Biden announced that he would bypass Congress and mandate that American workers submit to his power and accept the COVID vaccine, regardless of whether they already had immunity to the virus. When Republican Governors voiced their concerns about executive/federal overreach, Biden threatened to “run over” the delinquent Governors using his power as the President.

The language submitted today asks that a bill be filed to ask the legislature whether the following language should be placed on the ballot for the people to vote on:

“[Art.] 7-a. [Independent Nation.] New Hampshire peaceably declares
independence from the United States and immediately proceeds as a
sovereign nation. All other references to the United States in this
constitution, state statutes, and regulations are nullified.”

If the legislation passes the House and the Senate (the governor does not need to sign a CACR) it would give the people of New Hampshire an opportunity to vote on their future relationship with Washington DC.

The voters of this great state have not had an opportunity to reevaluate their relationship with our Lords in DC ever in their lifetimes; their ancestors made the decision to join the union 240 years ago, in a different world, one in which the federal government did not violate our every right, and did not steal half of our money to fund their tyranny.

If you believe that it’s time to give voters a choice – all this legislation does is give voters a voice – then please tell your state representatives and senators to support this constitutional amendment.

To find out more about New Hampshire independence, visit The Foundation For NH Independence, NH Exit, Americans United For Peaceful Separation, and read our many articles on independence and self-governance.

    * UPDATE: A forth Representative has indicated that they will co-sponsor this legislation.

Opinion/Letter: Proposal for NH to secede from the USA
    Portsmouth Herald

    To the Editor:

Nine New Hampshire legislators have submitted a resolution (CACR 2022-2243) for our state "to peaceably declare independence from the United States and proceed as a sovereign nation" -- i.e., secede from the union. (They don't seem to have given much thought to what the consequences of such action would be, were it ever to happen.)

This secession proposal comes from members of the Free State Project, a group of anti-government zealots from around the nation who have been moving to New Hampshire for the past two decades with the stated goal of taking over state government and creating a libertarian "utopia.” They selected New Hampshire as their target because of our small population and our narrow political balance, making it possible for them to have a significant effect on legislative actions. According to the Free State Project Watch (freestateprojectwatch.org), there are more than 40 Free Staters in the New Hampshire legislature today, elected as Republicans. Some suggest the number, including sympathizers, may be as high as 100.

The primary goal of Free Staters is to reduce the role of the federal government, as espoused by the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). ALEC says the framers intended for states to cede only a "miniscule" amount of power to a national government, and that over time the amassing of federal power "has led to overregulation and redundant bureaucracy." Even international relations should be in the hands of state legislators, ALEC says, as they are "stakeholders in many of the most important national and international issues of the day."

While it is true that in crafting our federal system, the founders stressed that power derives from the people and governmental functions should be carried out at the lowest level practicable, over time developments in commerce and technology have made it increasingly necessary to regulate matters at national or even international level. To reflect nostalgically on simpler days of the eighteenth century, before automobiles, airplanes and computers, is not a sound basis for running our country today.

Secessionists are by definition not patriots, and with their growing representation in our state and local government, Free Staters pose a palpable risk. They have been introducing proposals to slash local and state budgets, undermine public education, neglect roads, bridges and other infrastructure, and overturn community priorities. For more, see the website granitestateprogress.org.

What we can do about this, since Free Staters run as Republicans (and since other Republicans support many of their priorities), is to show up at the polls and elect Democrats. Regardless of impediments Republicans place in the way of voting, we need to fight our way through, and vote.

Rep. Sylvia now has 8 state reps co-sponsoring this legislation, maximum allowed is only about 10.

An NHexit activist, Terese Grinell, has been arrested at a governor's meeting and I think charged with disorderly conduct. Although she was just sitting there at the meeting, it is possible that the arrest was for some alleged disruption in the past.

These big anti-FedMoney protests at the governor's meetings however have been successful, the Exec Council has agreed to their peaceable demands and NH has become the only state to reject that controversial Fed Covid propaganda money:

You are 100% correct. Secession doesn't have to pass in order to become a viable option that can be weaponised.

We NEED weapons. Secession movements must be supported everywhere.

Update 12/17/2021: The Independence Amendment has received the official designation **"CACR 32;"** its precise **text** appears here: https://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/lsr...id=1336&type=4
Authorities have assigned it to the **"State-Federal Relations and Veterans Affairs" committee**, where it should receive its first hearing in early 2022. Meanwhile activists speculate that this represents a new **period of danger for the amendment**, as committee members may come under "**behind the scenes**" pressure to **fatally change its wording**. However, the committee clerk is State Rep Susan DeLemus, whose husband Jerry was **SWAT-teamed by the Feds** at his home in Rochester, NH around 2015. Considered by many a political prisoner, Washington held him for roughly 5 years in connection with his presence at the Bundy Ranch standoffs out west.

NH Independence Referendum – Let the people vote! (LTE)

    (image)

Above: Here’s what NH Independence is competing with…the U.S. government and its torture chambers.

Below is a letter-to-editor I e-mailed to the Keene Sentinel a week ago…It does not yet appear to have published there, so here is a copy.

    Dear editors at the Sentinel:

This is a response to your editorial against the New Hampshire Independence Amendment, which – if passed – would let all NH citizens vote in a referendum on whether we continue to be ruled by Washington. Why do you think this issue should be decided by dead war criminals rather than your neighbors, arguably acting within the rules laid out in the U.S. Constitution? Though silent on independence, it reads: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” Well here we are, trying to peaceably exercise these powers through the state house, then the polls…what’s there to be against other than D.C. and its enablers in the press?

Grrr…sorry to get so blunt…the Sentinel seems one of the few papers that still has some independence and frontpage/editorial separation. You deserve respect for the fact that I can say this without likelihood you will suppress the letter. But ultimately it’s questionable when a proposed vote on “who should govern where” is treated as Forbidden and Shocking…but starting five wars since 2011 is just business as usual. Write your congressman; vote for a different chickenhawk. Don’t color outside the lines, don’t imitate the successful Estonian or Gandhian independence drives.

The Washington empire, like Moscow and London before it…has made independence look good by abusing the people who live under its domination. It has turned most New Hampshirites against the central government, which has an approval rating hovering somewhere between that of syphilis and leprosy. But an informal September poll by the state’s largest paper showed support for the Independence Amendment at 71%.

If D.C. didn’t want an independence drive in New Hampshire, it wouldn’t have shut down four square blocks of residential Keene to put a drone through the window of America’s #25 talk show. It would not have exacerbated shortages by demanding most New Hampshirites submit to medical experimentation as a condition of employment. It would not have used our tax dollars to run a TORTURE CHAMBER at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan.

Google *these* FedCrimes, and explain to us again why you think rule by Washington is more desirable than rule by Concord.

    Best,

NH Independence demonstration scheduled Jan 20 Concord. Precedes House hearing on “Exit Referendum”

Post from Chris Wade on Telegram:

" We are holding a rally in advance of the hearing on New Hampshire Independence. The rally will be on Thursday January 20th starting at 2PM. The hearing will follow inside the legislative building at 3:30PM. The address is 33 N State St, Concord, NH. The room of the hearing is 302-304."

So my understanding is this demonstration will be right behind the state house. The legislation is called CACR 32; going before the state-Federal relations committee. This is to be their first public hearing, focused on listening to the public. It's arguably your first chance to actually strike at the root of your problems...Federal rule over NH. There will be attempts to make it your last chance.

The committee will eventually be deciding whether to recommend that the people be allowed to vote in a referendum on NH Independence. More details to follow, I'll begin promoting this demonstration and inviting people shortly.

The hearing is likely to be continued at a future date...if there is not time to hear all the testimony. If they want to suppress turnout, then they would probably continue it to the following day so be on the lookout for something happening Jan 21 as well. However thus far all the state house folks I'm aware of have handled this in an open-handed manner. When Texas folks tried this type of legislation they never even made it to a committee hearing.

I don't know much about NH politics but I assume you are correct.

In the case that you are correct, I hope the FSP learns this quickly, and begins efforts to secede on the city/county level or whatever other jurisdiction they can get 60-70% support.

Of course such a suggestion will bring forward the common refrain "the US will just invade" but one cannot let one's life be dictated by fear.

I will say this however. If the FSP were to declare independence (at any jurisdiction, state, county, city, or otherwise), I would pack up my bags and move to support it as soon as I were able.

I'm probably not the only one.

Those who say it cannot be done should not interfere with those who are doing it. Of course, it probably won't pass on the first attempt but just getting it to committee puts us in the lead over all the other states when it comes to independence. Meanwhile Quebec and Scotland have achieved many of their objectives with "failed" independence drives, we'll see if we can do that.

Regarding our brothers and sisters who are joining us from Mass: scientific Union Leader poll and Jason Sorens' ideological map of NH indicate that Mass immigrants tend to be conservative ( which isn't perfect but usually allies them with us).

It absolutely can be done. Just not necessarily at the state level. If the FSP thinks it can be done at the state level, then by all means - pursue that. But I would encourage you to not let some arbitrarily defined jurisdiction prevent you from achieving the independence you are looking for.

Not interfering. I just know better and am jaded. Living in Maine I saw what the massholes who move up are capable of. They bring all their crap with them. There are more of them in NH who will never let this pass.
