Which I believe was the purpose of electing Trump in the first place. If everyone is busy hating on each other, then they spend no time looking at what is really going on.

What is threatening about taking selfies in the capitol? According to the article he wasn't violent or destructive.

Unless his physical presence in the building is a "threat" or "force", then he is innocent of this crime.

Keep in mind this is the justice system at its worst.... he pleaded guilty to a crime he didn't even commit, because if he hadn't? They would have thrown the book at him.
I think he was guilty as charged. They used force to enter the building intending to disrupt congress. Doesn't really matter if he didn't break a window or physically harm anyone. He was an acessory to the crime.

Don't even start on the I'm a liberal and just hate Trump or any of that BS. I'm lifelong GOP and think the BLM idiots all should also be rounded up and charged just like the Jan 6th idiots.

Well this is not something they should have done. It was pointless.

I saw the Police open gates and let them in..

I also saw Poorly staged and comical acting,, well below Keystone Cops level..

Filmed from behind the cop.. and the "lightsaber" work with the Baton he picked up off the Floor,, was entertaining..

Oh,,and the folks in Pelosi's office?? Photographed by a Huff Po Reporter.

    Phucking Staged ..
and a few folks followed the Provocateurs.
Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

It was not ideological for him or about any concern for his supporters. The rally comedy routine was and is all about receiving love and worship for himself. Something he can show to his elitist friends and enemies what he can do better than them. It is all about him, his family and his fellow elites. They see supporters as useful tools, human garbage whose lives have no meaning but to serve them.

He is no different from the rest of the elites. What he did do for the elite class is protect the entire cult by making people falsely believe there is a difference and that he or a future designated family member are coming to save them.
That strategy is falling apart though, his inauguration chairman was just arrested and his only ally on world stage (his top-donor-in-law) has also been taken down.
While he is still leading 2024 prospect, there are signs of some bumps (Ticket sales are moving slowly for the coming Trump-O’Reilly stadium tour).

It wasn't staged. Pehaps some of the capital police were sympathetic to Trump and let them pass. That doesn't make it any less of a criminal act.

Cops were literally waving them in. Was he even asked to leave?

Even if by some stretch of the dictionary he is guilty of "using force", 8 months is excessive for what amounts to a peaceful protest that caused a ~8 hour delay of proceedings.

I would defend the same type of thing in the BLM scenario as well. If someone broke into an electronics store and looted tons of $#@!, I wouldn't consider the person who walked in and took a selfie and walked out an "accessory".

It was a criminal act, it's called "trespass". There's no need to stretch the definition of force so that he can be charged under a different crime.

But trespass doesn't come with an 8 year maximum sentence.

And even trespass would be questionable if he can prove he was waved in by the police.

It wasn't pointless to me. The 2020 election was stolen, in numerous different ways. I was beginning to think people were immune to having any kind of reaction to repeatedly getting $#@!ed over by the Leftists. The great selfie insurrection of 2021 restored at least a small amount of hope that people do care.

Had the stolen election been allowed to pass, entirely without incident, I would have lost all hope in humanity.

I'm honestly surprised that so many people are upset about the jailing of an ANTIFA member

Good point. As you and I both know, basically all of the protestors were ANTIFA.

Trump supporters, the real ones, are great Americans who would never trespass on federal property.

What do you mean by, "There he is goes again..."? And why are you upset by the imprisonment of an ANTIFA operative?

"There he goes again" means someone did something at least twice.

I'm not upset because I didn't know anything about the Antifa thing.

Today is Thursday so they are ANTIFA. Fridays are Patriot days. Weekends it depends if its the 1st or 3rd weekend of the month.

In all seriousness, I'm pretty much one of the only people on this board who thinks they're patriots. Most of the board here seems to have aligned on them being ANTIFA. Fox news also seems to have aligned on them being ANTIFA.

We should make an official poll.

If a bank security guard lets a bank robber in to rob a bank it's still a criminal act punishable under the law.

    What did they steal?

If a bank guard lets a person in to wander around the lobby is it still trespassing?

It is called an accomplice and yes.. it is criminal.

The Guard would be Criminally Complicit.

what's this? ask a Bank Robber a Question day?

“[T]he enshrinement of constitutional rights necessarily takes certain policy choices off the table.” (Heller, 554 U.S., at ___, 128 S.Ct., at 2822.)

How long before "going liberal" replaces "going postal"?
