Over here in the Netherlands, you can only travel by public transportation with a card that is read when you get on the bus/train and get off. Hypothetically speaking you could get an anonymous card, only pay cash, but in practice walking around with your cell phone surveillance equipment already takes away your anonymity.

For some reason, you cannot pay the parking meters with cash, but only with your bank card...

Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

I've noticed cashless parking meters are popping up where I'm at. When I first saw them a few months ago in my city, I had to laugh at the fact that we're really at the point of no anonymity anymore. That doesn't mean we shouldn't keep fighting or trying to do what's right, but yea, we're pretty much already at the point of no return.

I still try to use cash at about half (if not more) of the places I go to, though.

On July 15, 2021, 24 of the 39 Washington State Sheriff’s met in Ellensburg to approve and sign a resolution in support of citizen’s right to keep and bear arms as guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment. Thirteen additional Sheriffs have added their support and signature to this resolution. It is an honor to stand with my colleagues in support of this resolution.
    Respectfully,
    Sheriff Brad Thurman
*The Sheriff of Kitsap County retired at the end of June and this office has not been formally filled which is why Kitsap County is not represented in this document. The King County Sheriff opted not to sign the resolution.

    Lewis County Sheriff is like-minded.
