NSA Vs. Tucker Carlson: Are We A Banana Republic?

After the shocking revelation that the US National Security Agency had intercepted Fox News host Tucker Carlson's emails and then leaked them to media in an effort to smear him, the question all Americans should be asking is: how did we get to this banana republic state? Will there be any accounting for this lawlessness? Also today: Iraqi militias keep firing on US bases in Iraq. So why not leave?

Funny story near the beginning. Apparently Ron has known Tucker for a very long time. Tucker used to be on MSNBC early on. Tucker was fired from MSNBC, and Ron asked him “How come you aren’t on there (anymore)?”. Tucker responded “It’s all your fault!”

I assume that was a joke, but why did he say that?

Tucker was fired from MSNBC for being too friendly with Ron Paul.

Are we a republic in anything other than name?

I would assert that we are not. Fiat issues from single men and the entire armed governmental body points its guns to enforce. Does that sound like that which a republic is supposed to be? China calls itself a "republic". Does anyone with an IQ believe them not to be filthy liars?

I'm not sure we were ever an actual republic, but I can say that there was a time when we were far closer to it than we now find things.

There is only one correct way: freedom. All other solutions are non-solutions.

It appears that artificial intelligence is at least slightly superior to natural stupidity.

Our words make us the ghosts that we are.

Convincing the world he didn't exist was the Devil's second greatest trick; the first was convincing us that God didn't exist.
