Suspicious package sent to Rand Paul's home
“I take these threats immensely seriously," the senator said in a statement. The package contained white powder, an aide said.

The FBI and Capitol Hill police are investigating a suspicious package containing white powder that was delivered to the home of Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) on Monday, according to a senior adviser to the senator.

A large envelope arrived at the senator’s home in Kentucky and is currently being examined for harmful substances, Sergio Gor said. The sender is unknown.

“I take these threats immensely seriously," Paul said in a statement. “As a repeated target of violence, it is reprehensible that Twitter allows C-list celebrities to encourage violence against me and my family. Just this weekend Richard Marx called for violence against me and now we receive this powder filled letter.”

Marx, a singer and songwriter who was popular in the 1980s and 1990s, tweeted Sunday, “I’ll say it again: If I ever meet Rand Paul’s neighbor I’m going to hug him and buy him as many drinks as he can consume.”

I think Richard Marx is just pissed because Rand has been calling out Marx constantly.

"No, No, Richard... Rand was talking about Karl Marx... He's this 19 century hack who is responsible for the murder of millions of people. You're just a washed up lounge singer."

I think he can win if grocery prices finally catch up with the amount of money that's been printed over the last 12 years. If that happens inflation will be far and away the number one problem to voters and Rand Paul is about the only one to oppose all the spending, borrowing and printing no matter who was in the white house.

Suspicious package sent to Rand Paul home appears non-toxic, sheriff says

    BY MYCHAEL SCHNELL
    05/25/21

The suspicious package that was sent to the Kentucky home of Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) appears to be nontoxic, the local sheriff’s office revealed on Monday.

Preliminary analysis, according to a Facebook post from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, identified the substance as nontoxic.

Additional analysis, however, will be conducted on the substance and package, the sheriff’s office said.

The U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) confirmed these developments in a statement to The Hill, writing that an initial test determined that the powdery substance in the package was not dangerous. The contents were taken to an FBI lab for further testing "as a precaution," according to USCP.

Would be interesting if it was baby powder. Ironically, baby powder actually is considered dangerous now.

Ya, but everyone knows that the inflation is happening because of the hot economy caused by Biden's vaccines working so well

You nailed that one. You included at least 3 myths that seemingly everyone believes in one sentence.

I have a theory that a lot of the craziness we've been seeing (like wokeness) is caused by the lack of price inflation. "What!" you say??? Let me 'splain.

We know that socialism leads to stupid behavior because under socialism stupid behavior is rewarded and responsible behavior is punished. And the lack of price inflation leads to socialism, because we're not getting a major downside to socialism which is massive price inflation. Free stuff for everyone! What could possibly go wrong?

So "lack of price inflation" => "socialism" => "stupid behavior".

Rand said recently since he wasn't going to get the vaccine since he already had Covid and recovered from it. I'm sure that statement had nothing to do with that package.

I don't see a downside to making a big deal out of this. The upside is letting the enemy know that 1) you're onto them and 2) you're not scared. The other upside is that it makes Rand appear hella presidential.

Ummm...maybe. But I think his latest broadside attacks against St. Fauci and the gain of function gang have far more to do with it. One senator chosing not to get vaccinated doesn't derail their hype train. After all, most people have not had Covid (as far as they know) so that doesn't change the dynamic as to whether or not they should get the vaccine. But if Fauci gets seriously implicated in the cause of the pandemic, even if it is deemed to be an "accident", it's game over for this round of the World Domination Games.

Rand Paul Blasts Twitter for ‘Stoking the Anger’ After Suspicious Powder Sent to His Home: They Think Everything’s ‘Jolly Well Hilarious’

    By Ken Meyer
    May 25th, 2021

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) blamed Twitter for the sociopolitical atmosphere that resulted in a suspicious package being sent to his house.

Paul gave an interview on Tuesday to SiriusXM radio host Julie Mason, who asked him about the incident this week in which he received an envelope full of white powder. The senator answered by speaking of the resulting investigation from the incident and how FBI has initially determined that the powder was not anthrax.

“I guess I blame sort of the stoking of anger on the Left and also I blame Twitter for allowing that anger,” said Paul. “We get threats daily on Twitter. Twitter won’t even return our phone calls. When we try to call Twitter to talk to them about it, we get nothing out of them and they just think it’s jolly well hilarious and a joke to say, well, you had six of your ribs broken, a damaged lung, pneumonia twice, part of my lung removed, coughing up blood for a year.”

Why does Twitter allow the Left to encourage violence against Rand Paul?

    by Jack Hunter
    May 25, 2021

A decade ago, Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was shot in the head by a crazed gunman in Tuscon, Arizona. Thankfully, and miraculously, she survived.

Imagine if a conservative posted on Twitter, “If I ever meet Gabrielle Giffords’s shooter, I’m going to hug him and buy him as many drinks as he can consume.”

This would be unacceptable at a bare minimum. It would clearly be disgusting. It would reasonably be considered an endorsement and encouragement of violence.

Yet, change the names, and you have exactly the tweet that musical artist and outspoken leftist Richard Marx shared on Sunday. Marx wrote, “If I ever meet Rand Paul’s neighbor I’m going to hug him and buy him as many drinks as he can consume.”

Marx is a profane Twitter troll and bully. He will retweet (and attack) almost any Tweet directed at him that he doesn't like, and hope that his insane leftist troll comrades will join in.

IIRC, when I had a Twitter account, I responded to one of his Tweets and he tried it on me. My Tweet was rational with no profanity, and people didn't really come after me. Marx looked like an idiot after the conversation did not go the way he wanted, and then he just blocked me.

Pathetic. Does anyone even watch that idiotic crap? That’s like humor in the Soviet Union (i.e. zero humor, all propaganda). They really have built their own Soviet styled propaganda machine.

The leftist media knows that libertarianism is the true opposite of their totalitarian socialism. That’s why they marginalize, ridicule, mock and hate anyone who won’t go along with their agenda.
