Post Tlaib: US tax dollars shouldn't support Israeli apartheid, Omar accuses Israel of 'terrorism'

Liberal Dems rising star Omar also just used T-word for our closest ally and the only non-racial democracy in mideast.

Progressives have been on the rise in both major parties lately. It's worth mentioning that Omar has become quite controversial in DC politics, GOP's progressive liberal rissing star Trump recently had accused her of 'anti-semitism' after her very politically incorrect attacks on Israel lobby. Incidentally, previously Trump had also accused conservative Pat Buchanan of 'anti-semitism'.

Trump calls on Ilhan Omar to resign from Congress for ‘anti-Semitism’
    February 12, 2019
“It’s terrible what she said and I think she should either resign from Congress, or she should certainly resign from the House Foreign Affairs Committee,” Trump told reporters on Tuesday. “What she said is so deep-seated in her heart that her lame apology, and that’s what it was, it was lame and she didn’t mean a word of it, was just not appropriate. I think she should resign from Congress.”
Omar, in her first term in the Congress, said Sunday on Twitter that the American Israel Public Affairs Committee pays lawmakers to be pro-Israel.

Rashida Tlaib: US tax dollars shouldn't support Israeli apartheid

    MAY 10, 2021
The United States must ensure that its tax dollars are not going to support an Israeli "apartheid" act in Jerusalem, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Michigan) said over the weekend as she tweeted against Israeli violence towards Palestinians in Jerusalem as severe clashes broke out over the weekend."Too many are silent or dismissive as our U.S. tax dollars continue to be used for this kind of inhumanity," tweeted Tlaib, who was born to Palestinian parents who immigrated to the US.

"I am tired of people functioning from a place of fear rather than doing what's right because of the bullying by pro-Israel lobbyists," she added. "This is apartheid, plain and simple," Tlaib stated.

Unrest spills into Jerusalem; reaction and analysis on 'Outnumbered.'

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., accused Israel of "terrorism" following deadly air strikes in the Gaza Strip after Hamas reportedly launched seven rockets at Jerusalem.

"Israeli air strikes killing civilians in Gaza is an act of terrorism. Palestinians deserve protection. Unlike Israel, missile defense programs, such as Iron Dome, don’t exist to protect Palestinian civilians. It’s unconscionable to not condemn these attacks on the week of Eid," Omar wrote on Twitter on Monday.
Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., and other members of the progressive so-called "Squad" advocated for Palestinians after Israeli police and Palestinians clashed Friday at the Al-Aqsa mosque compound, a major holy site sacred to Muslims and Jews in Jerusalem. Tlaib targeted some of her statements at President Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken, questioning the White House's reasoning for providing aid to Israel.

In a sign of relief for AIPAC and other globalist lobbies, there appears to be strong bi-partisan support fr our democratic ally:

AOC slams Biden for defending Israeli airstrikes, saying his statements 'dehumanize Palestinians' and could fuel violence

    Charles Davis

An injured Palestinian man is being brought to Al-Shifa hospital to receive treatment after an Israeli air strike in Gaza City. A new round of Israeli-Palestinian fight, which erupted due to tensions around the holy city of Jerusalem, escalated on Wednesday as Israel escalated the assassination of a number of Hamas leaders and the activists responded with a barrage. New missiles targeted cities across southern Israel. The Ministry of Health said that 65 people have been killed so far in three days of continuous Israeli air strikes, with more than 365 wounded.

    • Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez criticized President Joe Biden for stating that Israel "has a right to defend itself."
    • The New York Democrat said such blanket statements could encourage "human rights violations."
    • At least 14 Palestinian children have been killed by Israeli attacks on Gaza, according to UNICEF.

On a side note, has Ilhan Omar been reformed and turning into an Obama style "liberal"?

Recent news shows that Ilhan was pressurized by pro-Iran-war-globalist Adelson funded old Esptein pal Trump but there are no reports of her facing intimidation like Obama (by way of Andrew Adler Atlanta threat scandal ), neither there are any press reports of her being on any of Epstein plane rides.
Unless 'Auntie Pelosi' or 'Uncle Joe' had a 'talk' with her to conveince her to put 'America First'...
    Who knows.

Publisher of the ‘Atlanta Jewish Times’ suggests Mossad should assassinate Obama over US Iran policy
Adam Horowitz on January 20, 2012
    John Cook reports at Gawker:
Andrew Adler, the owner and publisher of the Atlanta Jewish Times, a weekly newspaper serving Atlanta’s Jewish community, devoted his January 13, 2012 column to the thorny problem of the U.S. and Israel’s diverging views on the threat posed by Iran. Basically Israel has three options, he wrote: Strike Hezbollah and Hamas, strike Iran, or “order a hit” on Barack Obama. Either way, problem solved!
Here’s how Adler laid out “option three” in his list of scenarios facing Israeli president Benjamin Netanyahu (the column, which was forwarded to us by a tipster, isn’t online, but you can read a copy here):

Three, give the go-ahead for U.S.-based Mossad agents to take out a president deemed unfriendly to Israel in order for the current vice president to take his place, and forcefully dictate that the United States’ policy includes its helping the Jewish state obliterate its enemies.
Yes, you read “three” correctly. Order a hit on a president in order to preserve Israel’s existence. Think about it. If I have thought of this Tom Clancy-type scenario, don’t you think that this almost unfathomable idea has been discussed in Israel’s most inner circles?
Another way of putting “three” in perspective goes something like this: How far would you go to save a nation comprised of seven million lives…Jews, Christians and Arabs alike?
You have got to believe, like I do, that all options are on the table.

AOC calls Israel an ‘apartheid state’ following Gaza attacks

    By Dave Goldiner
    New York Daily News |
    May 17, 2021 at 3:32 PM
AOC has some choice words for Israel and its defenders in the White House.
The firebrand lawmaker denounced Israel on Saturday as an “apartheid state” in a series of posts about the Jewish state’s attack on a building housing journalists in Gaza and the spiraling violence in the Holy Land.
“Apartheid states aren’t democracies,” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) tweeted. She also retweeted a message from MSNBC anchor Ali Velshi that blamed Israel for imposing “a form of apartheid” on Palestinians.

REVEALED: Squad member Rashida Tlaib told Biden on tarmac he 'can't give Netanyahu billions each year to bomb schools with US-supplied weapons' and said Palestinian human rights are 'not a bargaining chip'

Rep. Rashida Tlaib tore into U.S. policy toward Israel in a tarmac conversation with President Joe Biden Tuesday, telling him: 'Palestinian human rights are not a bargaining chip.'

Netanyahu says he will CONTINUE Gaza attacks after Biden told him he expected 'significant de-escalation today'

President Biden demanded that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu scale back attacks on Gaza during a phone call Wednesday, urging him to begin moves toward a ceasefire. It marks a shift from Biden's public position of support for Israel's right to defend itself from Hamas rocket attacks and follows another night of strikes against targets in Gaza.

The fact that this open defiance of Israel is getting any publicity at all, much less that these two of the 435 members of the House continue to be media darlings, is new. It's a major break from the past, and it's very, very curious.

It isn't an accident. A great many liberals are still anti-nuclear power. You'll notice they are Progs Who Must Not Be Named.

This is leading to something. I dislike the smell of it. Add Chinese saber rattling...

Good point, this sort of publicity is new and probably not an accident.
This is happening at a time when a wedge between US liberal jewish politicians and groups (representing majority of US jewish population) and the Right Wing of Israeli political class/Likudntes/Netanyahu is quite visible.
Recent NYT cartoon decpiting a 'blind Trump' being led by Netanyahu also marked a major break from the past US media coverage.

Flood Of Condemnations Of NYT For Antisemitic Trump Cartoon

There had been some publicized reports of friction between 'anti-war' Obama and Netanyahu previously but rift between a "conservative Dem" Biden and Netanyahu will take things to a different level.
