Former NFL pro Phillip Adams behind mass shooting in South Carolina: report

    https://nypost.com/2021/04/08/five-d...mass-shooting/

    By Joshua Rhett Miller and Jorge Fitz-Gibbon April 8, 2021 | 8:24am

A former NFL player fatally shot a doctor, his wife, two of their grandchildren and another person before turning the gun on himself in a horrifying scene at a South Carolina home, according to the county coroner and sources.

Phillip Adams, who had stints with the Seahawks, 49ers, Raiders and Jets, opened fire at the home in Rock Hill late Wednesday afternoon, the York County Coroner and sources told The State.

Killed in the shooting was Dr. Robert Lesslie, 70, his wife, Barbara Lesslie, 69, and two of their grandchildren, 9-year-old Adah Lesslie and 5-year-old Noah Lesslie, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.

Adams’ parents live near the doctor’s Rock Hill home and he was one of Lesslie’s patients, a source told the Associated Press.

A fifth victim, James Lewis, 38, who was working at the home at the time, was also fatally shot outside, WSOC-TV reported.

A sixth person, who was not immediately identified, was hospitalized with a serious gunshot wound, authorities said. The victim was also a maintenance worker at the Lesslie family’s home, sources told The Herald.

Lewis and the wounded person both worked for Gaston Sheet Metal Services in Gastonia and were doing work at the home, WSOC reported.

“Both men involved in this incident are long-standing, beloved members of our family at GSM,” the company said in a Facebook post. “These men embody the values we strive to achieve at GSM and are family focused, up-beat, and wonderful team members who are about all the people they encountered.”

“In the coming days, our focus is on helping these families and our team members cope with this tragedy.”

Adams later died by suicide, the AP source said. He is believed to have killed himself as police surrounded a home near where the victims were found, sources told the Herald.

Investigators discovered the gunman’s body at a nearby home after an eight-hour manhunt, the sheriff’s office tweeted.

“There is no active threat to the community,” sheriff’s officials tweeted early Thursday.

Robert Lesslie had been practicing medicine in Rock Hill since 1981, according to his biography on Riverview House Calls & Riverview Hospice and Palliative Care, where he worked as the medical director. He’s survived by four children. He and Barbara Lesslie had been married for more than 40 years, The State reported.

Lesslie earned his degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and worked at facilities in Greenville and Charlotte, where he served as the chief resident at Charlotte Memorial Hospital.

The board-certified emergency medicine physician also specialized in occupational medicine and had authored several books on his experiences with patients, including “Angels in the ER,” which sold more than 200,000 copies, according to his bio.

“Dr. Lesslie lives in Rock Hill with his wife, Barbara, and their golden retriever, Moses, several miniature horses, goats, donkeys, chickens and a lot of bees,” the bio continues. “They have four grown children and eight growing grandchildren. He enjoys golfing, traveling and bagpiping.”

“We are all shocked this could happen here in York County,” spokesman Trent Farris said. “This is a mass shooting. Normally you think of a movie theater or a mall, but we are treating this as a mass shooting because there were five victims killed.”

Faris noted how prominent Lesslie had been in the Rock Hill community.

“He was my doctor, if that says enough,” Faris told The State.

Sheriff’s officials tweeted Wednesday they were looking for a “young black male” wearing a hoodie and camouflage pants after the six victims were found.

Lesslie’s family is asking for privacy as they mourn, Faris said.

Adams, a defensive back, played in 78 NFL games before calling it quits after the 2015 season.

NFL officials acknowledged the mass shooting in a statement Thursday to The Post.

“Our hearts go out to the families and friends of the victims of this devastating tragedy,” the statement read.

Blacks Committed 73% of Mass Shootings In 2020

    https://www.unz.com/estriker/blacks-...re-is-the-fbi/

As the media, FBI and Anti-Defamation League declare “white supremacy” and “domestic terrorism” the gravest threats to public safety in America, neither played any role in the outbreak of violence in 2020 — one of the deadliest years in American history.

Disingenuous political actors often point to the Charleston Church Shooting in 2015, the Tree of Life Synagogue incident of 2018, or the El Paso Wal Mart killings in 2019 to demonstrate the proclivity of white men to engage in indiscriminate killings.

The latest figures on the approximately 603 mass shootings last year paint a radically different picture.

According to demographic data compiled by researchers at Mass-Shootings.info, black men committed 73% of mass shootings in 2020, in contrast whites were only 13% of known culprits.

    Mass Shootings Go Unpunished

What is more galling is that while the revanchist FBI has been utilizing high tech resources to track down every protester who may have entered the Capitol, the perpetrators of some of the deadliest and most brutal mass shootings of 2020 remain at large.

For example, in June, police in Alabama investigated a house fire and found that it was set to cover up the executions of seven people, including a 17-year-old girl. The FBI violent crimes unit is aiding in the investigation, but there are no suspects.

Last September, seven people at a marijuana farm were shot and killed in Riverside, California. The police and the FBI have no arrests or suspects.

In August, three men opened fire on a crowd of women and children having a block party the middle of Washington DC. 21 people were injured in the attack, with one dying and another hospitalized in critical condition. The gunmen are still at large and the DC police do not have any suspects or leads.

There are countless unsolved mass shooting cases like the aforementioned. America is the only first world nation where people can open fire on random people in a major city’s crowded street and never get caught.

As for individual shootings, the numbers in 2020 are equally stark. 70% of shootings in New York City last year remain unsolved. Murder clearance rates have plummeted across major urban areas in the country even as homicides have skyrocketed.

The FBI’s Prioritizes Punishing Dissent Over Murder

The murder rate in 2020 jumped an average of 37% in 57 cities at the closing of last year, yet the FBI’s announced priorities for 2021 do not reflect the gravity of this national emergency.

According to the Bureau’s budget request for the new year, which is available on the Department of Justice’s website, they will be receiving close to $4 billion for their “counter-terrorism” operations, while their criminal division will be getting $3.4 billion.

A 2013 examination of the FBI’s corrupt “counter-terrorism” strategy found that only 1% of the people they entrap and arrest have any connection to actual terrorists. With the FBI’s new emphasis on right-wing white men, the number is likely much lower. Usually the criminal element introduced into religious or political communities engaging in First Amendment protected activity are inserted by the FBI itself.

The FBI’s revival as an instrument for suppressing views critical of the government is not lost on its agents. In 2018, the FBI Agents Union put out a statement demanding Congress pass a new “domestic terrorism law,” as many of their political targets are not committing any actionable criminal offenses.

Senator Dick Durbin and some Republicans are working on granting them their wish by re-submitting a “domestic terrorism” bill that would allow them to utilize already freely abused Patriot Act powers on law-abiding US citizens.

The outcome is as predicted. America is now a crime-ridden and corrupt third world country that suddenly becomes techno-dystopian when a citizen dares to question the increasingly absurd whims of the status quo.

It's weird that I have had professional dealings with both the Dr. and the football player. The report does not make mention of any motive for the shooting. They do mention the parent of the football player was a patient of the doctor. Did his parent die in the care of the doctor?

"he was one of Lesslie’s patients"

I took that to mean that the killer was a patient.

What? No one claiming Adams was part of a false flag operation? You guys are slipping.
We have long had death and taxes as the two standards of inevitability. But there are those who believe that death is the preferable of the two. "At least," as one man said, "there's one advantage about death; it doesn't get worse every time Congress meets."

False flags take careful planning. The details of this murder don't align to that kind of planning.

This article complains that the Feds/FBI ought to be doing more about things like murder while doing less about things like political dissent (in the guise of so-called "domestic terrorism" or "white supremacy" or whatever). But the article completely misses the fact that the FBI is doing exactly what it is, always has been, and always will be designed and intended to do.

The Feds/FBI are no different from cops in general. As courts have repeatedly ruled, law enforcers as constituted under the current system do not exist (and have no obligation) to "protect and serve" John and Jane Q. Citizen (or their property). Their role as enforcers in the domain of malum in se crimes is an entirely secondary fig leaf used to justify their existence and to cover for their primary purpose, which is to enforce on malum prohibitum violations and other statutory and/or "political" "crimes."

(And even if they really were primarily concerned with malum in se crimes, Federal enforcers would still have no business getting involved in any such crimes unless they are interstate in scope, which does not appear to be the case in most of these mass shootings.)

Of course, you are 100 percent correct, perhaps I should have edited that better, as I was really only looking to drive home one point:

That being: contrary to the narrative driven home day and night, night and day, 24/7 by the government and their media organs, white men are not the majority of mass shooters.

According to demographic data compiled by researchers at Mass-Shootings.info, black men committed 73% of mass shootings in 2020, in contrast whites were only 13% of known culprits.

Actually, I knew you were making just that point (as indicated by the quote you cited before presenting the article, as well as the title of the article itself). My remarks were solely meant as an "aside" regarding the article's other content. Being familiar with your stance on such matters, I was certainly not under any impression that you agreed with or were advocating for that other material. I ought to have mentioned that. Sorry!

(And as an aside to my aside, that's why I add that interior "sub-level" quoting in my replies. The "top-level" quote is so that people can find the post I'm replying to via the "blue arrow," without having to manually hunt through the thread for it, while the "sub-level" quote is intended to indicate that the sub-quoted material is not the poster's words, but rather is material that was cited by the poster - except when the cited material is from the very first post in the thread, in which case I just use a "bare" quotes without blue arrows or sub-quotes.)
