Joe Biden and the green agenda

There is at least one major difference between presidents Trump and Biden. Sleepy Joe is really, really pushing the green energy, sustainable development, climate change, depopulation agenda.
Biden's cabinet is literally filled with green energy advocates, pushing for "clean energy" that is... more polluting than fossil fuels.

Biden has centered his "climate action plan" on "creating millions of green-energy, union jobs". In which his Labor secretary, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, is experienced, even as an executive in the energy branch.
    Walsh stated:
We can create millions of good-paying jobs with investments in infrastructure, clean energy, high-tech manufacturing — along with the workforce training to help people get those good jobs.
    .
Biden's Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo also has executive branch energy experience and as Rhode Island Governor pushed for wind energy at the expense of fishermen.

Even Biden's pick for Director of the CIA, William J. Burns, as president of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace defended Obama's Clean Power Plan and called climate change an "existential" global challenge and a battle "we cannot afford to lose".

Jake Sullivan, Biden's pick to lead the NSC, has said Joe's national security approach includes "owning our future in key industries like clean energy".

Biden's Treasury Secretary, Janet Yellen, has long been a climate-unconscious economist.

Brian Deese, who was President Obama's climate and energy adviser, is tapped for the National Economic Council.

Melanie Nakagawa, who was climate and energy adviser to Bonesman, former Secretary of State John Kerry (him again!), will be senior director for climate and energy on the National Security Council.
Nakagawa was a member of Kerry's staff when he led efforts in 2009 and 2010 to enact a carbon dioxide cap-and-trade bill. She continued to work for him on environment, climate change and development issues in 2013.

Biden appointed Jennifer Granholm as Energy Secretary, who as Michigan Governor embraced renewable energy, "Gov. Granholm knows about the need to support American jobs as we fight the climate crisis": https://www.eenews.net/stories/1063722179

I think the reality is that Biden isn't actually in charge and probably doesn't know or care what green energy even is. He is mentally out of it and DC is now run by a group of warlords all with their own agendas to push. Those are the ones you are complaining about.

Pretty much. Biden is nothing more than a mentally ill puppet that can easily be controlled.

Isn't this true for just about every US president since WW II, save perhaps Kennedy and the sons of Bushes...

Whether Biden is mentally unfit isn't very relevant at this point.
He has been inaugurated, and for as long as he can be shown to the public as the spokesperson for the US government, he can continue to do their dirty work.

President Joe Biden selected John Kerry (member of the notorious Skull & Bones ) as special envoy for climate; in this role he will be a principal on the National Security Council.

John Kerry warned Big Oil that they have to embrace green energy or get left behind:
You don't want to be sitting there with a lot of stranded assets. You're gonna wind up on the wrong side of this battle.
They ought to be figuring out how do we become not an oil-and-gas company, but how do we become an energy company.

When he was running for president, Rhodes Scholar Pete Buttigieg detailed climate change plans almost as drastic as Biden's.
So he was chosen as Biden’s Secretary of Transportation.

Buttigieg’s climate change plan calls for net-zero emissions by 2050, costing between $1.5 trillion and $2 trillion in federal investment and create over 3 million jobs in the next decade. Or more than $500,000 per job...
Buttigieg’s proposal includes a $200 billion investment in 10 years in clean energy research, a $250 billion Clean Energy Bank to finance innovative technologies, a $250 billion fund matched with $250 billion in private investment to lead development of green technologies and a $50 billion seed fund for "riskier and experimental" ideas.

Buttigieg calls for generating 100% of electricity in the U.S. by 2035 without carbon emissions.
By 2040, net-zero emissions for all new heavy-duty vehicles, buses, rail, ships and aircraft.
By 2050, net-zero emissions from all (other) industries.

    Pete Buttigieg said:
We must channel all of our energies into a national project — one that unifies every American, from big cities to rural communities, around this urgent threat and seizes the tremendous opportunity of a new era of climate action.

Add to that, he also proposed a tax on the number of miles a person drives. I'm not kidding. He has actually proposed it.

In 2015, when she was still Obama's National Security Advisor, Rhodes Scholar Susan Rice explained that "combatting climate change [is] at the very center of our national security agenda":
And, today, we face no greater long-term challenge than climate change, an advancing menace that imperils so many of the other things we hope to achieve. That’s why, under President Obama, we have put combatting climate change at the very center of our national security agenda.

The science is not up for debate. I know you are not the crowd that needs to be convinced—you’re living it. Here at Stanford, you were almost close enough to smell the wildfires. Some redwoods and eucalyptus trees around campus are dying from drought. As for those who remain unconvinced—I’d suggest they are either not paying attention, or they’re not living on the same planet as the rest of us.

Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall, another Rhodes scholar, is (was?) also a senior fellow at the CFR and guest scholar at the Brookings Institution. She has also been a policy adviser to Senator Joseph R. Biden, Jr.
In November 2016, as Obama's Deputy Secretary of Energy, Sherwood-Randall gave a presentation on the wonders of green energy, at an even staged by the very supportive CFR.

    See 2 excerpts.
The evolving energy landscape is demanding a transformation in how we think—we as American policymakers think—about energy security. So we began making this transformation early in this administration. President Obama has given two key speeches that identified the requirements to meet our energy-security goals by investing in innovation, infrastructure, and international partnerships.
In 2011 he laid out his vision for American energy security and American energy independence. He outlined a long-term plan that would set the United States on a path to secure, affordable, and a low-carbon future, one that we have come to call our all-of-the-above energy strategy.
    (...)
And in addition to Mission Innovation in Paris last winter, there were a number of private-sector and philanthropic leaders who stood together with Bill Gates and announced something called the Breakthrough Energy Coalition, which was specifically created to work with the countries that had committed to Mission Innovation to help bring those new technologies out to market.

In 2016, Oxford alumnus Kurt M. Campbell (co)wrote in support of the green energy scam for the Brookings Institution:
For most of 2006 and 2007, a diverse group of experts, under the direction and leadership of the Center for a New American Security (CNAS) and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), met regularly to start a new and important conversation about this security-and-climate-change nexus and to consider the potential future foreign policy and national security implications. Our collaboration engaged climate scientists and national security specialists in a lengthy dialogue on the security implications of future climate change.

Kurt Campbell is another Obama administration veteran, Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs from 2009 to 2013.

Campbell was senior vice-president at the Center for Strategic and International Studies think-tank.
Campbell co-founded the Center for a New American Security (CNAS) think tank in January 2007.
Campbell also works for the McCain institute.

Campbell has been rewarded for his work for the British Empire in 2013 and 2014.
He became Honorary Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) for strengthening bilateral relations between Australia and the USA.
Campbell was appointed honorary Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to New Zealand-US relations: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurt_M._Campbell

President Joe Biden promised to replace the entire US government’s fleet of roughly 650,000 vehicles with electric models.
In one of the greatest frauds of modern times, these "clean-energy" electric cars are of course more polluting than "dirty" diesel motors...

Tesla and other American electric automakers will benefit from the more than $20 billion it will cost the taxpayer to make the government fleet fully electric
In 2019, the U.S. government spent $4.4 billion on federal vehicle costs.

Biden said (almost Trump-like) he'll make the rules that decide whether vehicles are considered "American-made" more restrictive:
We're going to change that as well. The executive action I'm signing today will not only require the companies make more of their components in America, but that the value of those components is contributing to our economy, measured by things like a number of American jobs created and supported.
