Thats him in the back 4th from the left standing peering over the shoulder.

That's a great collection of idiots in one room as I've seen. So it figures he'd be on the up and up in the New Admin.

Globalist crony lobbyist. This guy could hardly be more swampy.

A 2013 profile described him as "[o]ne of the government's key players in drafting Syria policy",[20] for which he served as a public face.[21]

In 2017, Blinken co-founded WestExec Advisors, a political strategy advising firm, with Michèle Flournoy, Sergio Aguirre, and Nitin Chadda.[24][25] WestExec's client work includes analyzing potential acquisitions and investments for geopolitical risk, and offering insight on regulatory matters, policy changes in the U.S. and key international markets, industry-specific and macroeconomic trends, and political intelligence.[26] WestExec also helps clients expand market access in China "while safeguarding against trade tensions between the U.S. and China".[26] WestExec's clients have included Google's Jigsaw, Israeli artificial-intelligence company Windward, and "Fortune 100 types."[27] In an interview with The Intercept, Flournoy explained WestExec seeks to employ "people recently coming out of government" with "current knowledge, expertise, contacts, networks."[28]

Blinken is also a partner of private equity firm Pine Island Capital Partners.[29] According to the firm's website, Blinken worked on the D.C. partners team, which works "in tandem with the investment team to source deals, conduct analyses, win bids, close transactions, and directly advise" the firm's portfolio companies.[30] Pine Island's chairman is John Thain, the final chairman of Merrill Lynch before its sale to Bank of America.[30] Blinken recused himself from Pine Island Capital Partners in 2020 to serve as a senior foreign policy advisor with the Biden campaign.[31]

the good news is, he plays guitar.

In 2002, Blinken married Evan Ryan in a bi-denominational ceremony officiated by a rabbi and priest at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Washington, D.C.[10][1] He is fluent in French.[40] He plays guitar and has two songs available on Spotify.[41]

Not a good start out the door, a globalism foreign aid or rather blowback generating perpetual foreign aid supporter appears to be Sec of State pick of 78 years old slowing Dem leader. Time will tell, hopefully not Obama drama all over again.

Blinken was a foreign policy advisor for Biden's 2020 presidential campaign. On June 17, 2020, Blinken said that Biden "would not tie military assistance to Israel to things like annexation or other decisions by the Israeli government with which we might disagree."[34] On November 22, 2020, Bloomberg News and the New York Times reported that Biden had selected Blinken as his nominee for Secretary of State.

Where Blinken stands on Jewish issues, from immigration to Israel
Nominee for US secretary of state has a worldview shaped by both his heritage and his decades of foreign policy service
    By Gabe Friedman

JTA — Tony Blinken, US President-elect Joe Biden’s choice for secretary of state, is the stepson of a Holocaust survivor whose stories shaped his worldview and subsequently his policy decisions, including in the Middle East.

Biden named Blinken to the post on Monday, a day after news leaked about his plans to bring on the Jewish former high-ranking official in the Obama administration.

Blinken, 58, has been one of Biden’s closest policy advisers for over a decade and espouses the opposite of President Donald Trump’s “America First” agenda, which prioritized nationalist goals over international diplomacy. Multiple reports say that Blinken will seek to rejoin many of the international agreements that Trump left as president, notably the Paris Climate Accords and the Iran nuclear deal (an agreement with major diplomatic consequences for Israel).

Under Blinken, the State Department will usher in a much different foreign policy era, including on Israel. Like Biden, Blinken has close ties to the country forged from his decades of strong support of the Jewish state.

Here’s what you need to know about the new top diplomat, who hasn’t been much of a household name until now.

His Jewish parents were influential in their own right

Blinken was born in New York City, where he spent most of his early years. His father, Donald, co-founded the hefty E.M. Warburg Pincus & Company (now Warbug Pincus) investment firm and served as the US ambassador to Hungary for four years under president Bill Clinton’s administration. There is an archive at George Soros’s Central European University in Hungary named for Donald Blinken, now 95, and his second wife, Vera, who survived the Holocaust, in part for their support of the “democratization process in the United States and in Hungary.”

Donald Blinken’s grandfather Meir Blinken was a noted Yiddish author whose stories were published in a book in the 1980s that features an introduction by scholar Ruth Wisse.

His stepfather’s Holocaust experience shaped his worldview.

Tony Blinken’s mother, Judith, remarried Samuel Pisar, a Holocaust survivor and attorney who advised president John F. Kennedy and multiple French presidents. Pisar, who survived three concentration camps, also worked for the United Nations, wrote a libretto titled “Kaddish-A Dialogue With God” at the behest of Leonard Bernstein and penned an award-winning memoir about his Holocaust experiences.

Blinken has said that Pisar’s experiences have informed his vision for the “engaged” role that the United States should play on the global stage.
    ...
In 2008, Biden tapped Blinken to help his presidential campaign, and when Biden was chosen as Barack Obama’s vice president, Blinken followed, becoming one of his national security advisers. In 2014, Obama elevated Blinken to deputy secretary of state under John Kerry.

During those years, Blinken was heavily involved in the crafting of Middle East policy, including the landmark Iran deal.

Blinken has been described as a centrist and an interventionist, and he’s said to have a “mind meld” with Biden on foreign policy — an area of governance in which the president-elect specializes and wants to prioritize in the Oval Office.

Blinken is more hawkish on issues such as Russia, whom he considers a foe (he helped Obama’s team respond stiffly to Vladimir Putin’s encroachments into Crimea).

On Israel, Blinken’s views reflect the Democratic mainstream

Within the Democratic Party, a minority of lawmakers and advocates have been trying to shift the party to the left on Israel issues. Progressives including Bernie Sanders have suggested that aid to Israel ought to be conditioned on certain policy choices.
    ...
Blinken is a centrist here, too. He has said that a Biden administration will not condition aid to Israel on policy choices, will keep the embassy in Jerusalem and will staunchly support Israel at the United Nations — a body that often singles out the Jewish state for human rights abuses without condemning offenders such as Syria and China. In May, Biden wrote that he “firmly” rejects the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement, and Blinken has backed up that stance.
    ...
As he told a ‘Sesame Street’ character, Blinken is compassionate toward refugees

Trump prioritized closing off US borders and punishing immigrants who sought asylum in a policy set by a Jewish adviser, Stephen Miller.

Biden has said his approach to immigration — an issue important to many American Jews — will be much different. Blinken explained his attitude about refugees in a 2016 video with the “Sesame Street” character Grover, in which he explains to the fuzzy blue puppet that refugees should be treated the same as “you and me.”

This school year, some kids will have new classmates: refugees. @Grover & I discuss how to make them feel welcome in their new communities. pic.twitter.com/gKInM2Ahuw

    — Antony Blinken (@ABlinken) September 21, 2016

“We all have something to learn and gain from one another, even when it doesn’t seem at first like we have much in common,” Blinken said after asking Grover to imagine how challenging it must be for someone to feel so unsafe that they decide to leave their home.

The Hungarian and Polish ties of Antony Blinken

BUDAPEST, HUNGARY – U.S. President-elect Joe Biden has picked as secretary of state his longtime aide, Antony Blinken, whose ties to Europe, particularly to France, but also to Hungary and Poland, are lifelong, deep and personal.

Antony Blinken’s father, Donald Blinken, notably served as the U.S. Ambassador to Hungary for four years under president Bill Clinton’s administration, serving during a crucial time in the process of Hungary becoming member of NATO. He became the first U.S. Ambassador to receive the highest civilian honour of the Republic of Hungary in 1997.

    Vera and the Ambassador

Antony Blinken’s father had developed an interest in Hungary prior to his nomination, through his second wife, Budapest-born Vera Blinken, who became a refugee in the United States after escaping from the communist regime in the 50s. In Budapest, Antony’s stepmother contributed to Donald Blinken’s ambassadorial mission through her knowledge of Hungarian language and culture and her outreach to the Hungarian community.

She notably founded Primavera, the first mobile breast cancer screening program in Central and Eastern Europe. In 2002, for her services to the Hungarian people, she was awarded the Middle Cross of the Republic of Hungary.

Vera and Donald Blinken published their dual memoir “Vera and the Ambassador” in 2009 which details their challenges and victories as they worked in tandem to “advance America’s interests in Eastern Europe” and to “restore a former Soviet satellite state to a pre-Communist level of prosperity”.

In 2015, the archives of George Soros’ Central European University (CEU) in Budapest were renamed The Vera and Donald Blinken Open Society Archives (OSA), as a reward for their generous donations. They arguably hold one of the most valuable collections of the Cold War era: the archives of Radio Free Europe.

But Antony Blinken’s ties to Central Europe do not stop here.

    Blood and Hope

His mother, Judith Pisar, is also of Hungarian origin, her parents having emigrated to the United States at the turn of the 20th century. In 1971, after divorcing Antony’s father, she remarried Samuel Pisar, a Polish-born Holocaust survivor and attorney who advised President John F. Kennedy and multiple French presidents.

After marrying Pisar and moving to France, Antony’s mother served for 17 years as Chairman of the American Center of Paris, where she was known as “America’s Cultural Czarina in Europe.”
    ...
Taking into account Joe Biden’s recent comments regarding the respective governments in Hungary and Poland, the nomination of Antony Bilken could well spell trouble for Budapest, who clearly endorsed Donald Trump, and for Warsaw, who still hasn’t officially recognized Joe Biden as the next U.S. President.

The secretive consulting firm that’s become Biden’s Cabinet in waiting
WestExec Advisors, which now looks like a government-in-waiting for the next administration, was founded in 2017.

The website for WestExec Advisors includes a map depicting West Executive Avenue, the secure road on the White House grounds between the West Wing and the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, as a way to show what the consulting firm can do for its clients.

“It is, quite literally, the road to the Situation Room, and it is the road everyone associated with WestExec Advisors has crossed many times en route to meetings of the highest national security consequences,” the firm says.

And staffers are poised to cross it again — en masse.

The firm, which now looks like a government-in-waiting for the next administration, was founded in 2017 by Tony Blinken, President-elect Joe Biden’s choice for secretary of State, and Michèle Flournoy, a top contender for secretary of Defense. And one of its former principals, Avril Haines, is Biden’s pick for director of national intelligence.

But little is known about WestExec’s client list. Because its staffers aren’t lobbyists, they are not required to disclose who they work for. They also aren’t bound by the Biden transition’s restrictions on hiring people who have lobbied in the past year.

Such high-powered Washington consulting firms are “the unintended consequence” of greater disclosure requirements for registered lobbyists, said Mandy Smithberger, director of the Center for Defense Information at the Project on Government Oversight.

By not directly advocating for federal dollars on behalf of their clients, they don't have to publicly divulge who is paying them and for what activities, such as the connections they make with government agencies, she said. But it is also impossible to assess the influence they have on federal expenditures.

“They avoid becoming registered lobbyists or foreign agents and are instead becoming strategic consultants,” she said.

WestExec is loaded with other former top Democratic national security and foreign policy officials who raised money for the Biden campaign, have joined his transition team, or have served as unofficial advisers.

People talk about it when the nominees are being proposed, not 3 or 4 years later. There are plenty of threads critical of Trump appointees. Hardly any of them even had luke-warm support here.

Biden's foreign policy/national security team are....wait for it...all Jesuits. Just like Trump's were. See how this works and why nothing ever changes? In other words, the entire upper governmental structure is entirely beholden to the Vatican and the Vatican's biblical agenda, no matter who the puppet placed in front of the camera is. Even one that should be eating applesauce on a tv dinner tray in front of Andy Griffith reruns instead of sitting in the WH.

Blinken: Israel is ‘anchor and foundation for democracy in the region’

By Philip Weiss November 24, 2020

Tony Blinken reflects Joe Biden in spinning highly scripted and cagey responses that steer a delicate path around Israel’s clout in Washington while doing nothing to offend the so-called Jewish state. He says, We need to reenter the Iran deal if Iran reenters it, because trashing the deal has made Israel unsafer; We need to leave troops in Syria and check with Israel on all our actions in the Middle East because it’s the anchor of democracy; and we need to call out Israel’s settlement activity as unhelpful but then not do anything about it.
