I tell you today I feel like going way of Winston at the end of 1984

Just have to vent, with more restrictions, obvious voter fraud just like in 2012 primaries (and I’m not even a supporter of Trump), COVID, etc. I kinda feel like we are spinning our wheels and Big Brother is just too big to overcome. Should I let 2+2=5?

We need more people to support Trump.

Trump doesn't have perfect libertarian principles, but he is currently the biggest threat to the deep state.

Look at the Governor Whitmer "kidnap" incident recently. There is no proof that any of the people in the "militia" supported Trump, they were all libertarians or anarchists who did NOT support Trump, and some of whom went to BLM protests.

If libertarians and anarchists were the biggest threat, the media would have smeared them as libertarians and anarchists. But instead they smeared them as Trump supporters, which is not even true. That is because Trump is their biggest threat currently.

    Donald Trump On The Record

@KEEF, I would suggest not to support trump. I made the analogy in another thread:

2 Gangs live among my community; LeftXgang and RightYgang.

They both claim to offer protection/perks and constantly urge for my support. Many people in the community belong to one or the other, but I and a few others do not. The people who belong to either gang insist that I must join because those are the two choices in my community.

I and a few others ignore the 2 gangs and do business among ourselves. We help each other with removing a fallen tree, a wiring job for an additional room or house, mechanical help with our cars, and trade/sell food that we grow/raise in our gardens/farms.

Every once in a while, somebody in the community sees and understands what we are doing, and decides to quit the gang they belonged to and now do business with us.

There are some things that are inescapable, but over time as our numbers grow we can ignore those things altogether.

Yes, I know all about Red Pill versus Blue Pill. When freedom/liberty come from within and are actually practiced every day, no pills are ever needed. With no pills at all, that is an added savings.

Oh, and we never need to pay strangers [politicians] to act as a "third party" to get in the way of personal/private contracts.

    An Agorist Primer

The state will continue grow with or without your "help". It is best not to play/perpetuate it, and instead promote individual liberty, not nationalism-communism. Ron Paul has said politics is not the answer, reaching the hearts and minds of the American people is.

Trump is not a gang, nor is he in a gang. The deep state is a gang. Trump is just a simple Patriot who happens to be a billionaire.

Trump indeed talks bad about the "deep state" - hip hip hooray!!! But in that dark, back alley, he continues to slip Bill Gates-tied companies Billions (aren't we up to Trillions yet) of tax payer dollars, hires Gates-tied stooges, and medical is now being nationalized. And let us not forget the other On The Record that you continuously ignore.

Bark up somebody else's tree who doesn't read The Records.

BTW, the "deep state" is NOT a secret operation or secret group of people. The deep state simply is - "Follow the Money". Try it sometime. It is easy to do, and it really works.

First part of your theory is wrong because Trump is not doing anything that the other side wouldn't be doing anyway, he just has to do some things to hold onto his office, because he has the entire deep state working against him. If he did only what was best for the country, he would be run out office very quickly and not get anything done.

The last part is just laughable.

So Winston is being sent to Room 101 to completely break his will. The Party does not just need him to obey -- they need him to actually believe in the Party and to love Big Brother with all his heart. They need agreement, not just obedience.

We're being governed ruled by a geriatric Alzheimer patient/puppet whose strings are being pulled by an elitist oligarchy who believe they can manage the world... imagine the utter maniacal, sociopathic hubris!

Oh still never intend on supporting Trump. Just curious why getting emotionally invested into fighting what seems to be an un-winnable fight. Maybe it because I just got done reading 1984 again.

Winston Smith was brutally tortured before he became totally demoralized at the end of 1984. Until they frogmarch you to the Ministry of Truth in the dead of night, don't give up.

And I guess that is what is the most taxing part, is because I know what the Party is doing and nothing gets done. Just gotta take care of my own and bury my head in the sand

No offense, but the book 1984 kind of sucked. I've read the book twice and watched that terrible movie with John Hurt. I'm so tired of people trying to make 1984 references. Look at me look how smart I am.

Another thing why haven't the moderators moved this thread to the vent sub forum?

Well, explain how it sucked and why.

    I'm genuinely curious.

    I have a different perspective

Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

It didn't suck. Neither did Animal Farm. Neither did anything else Orwell wrote (essays, fiction, etc.).

Anyone tired of Orwell references is just gonna have to find a way to cope, 'coz they ain't gonna stop coming, and rightly so - Orwell was a pathologist of socialistic ideology par excellence.

I think I'll pass. Sweet offer, though.

Thought more about what you posted:

It didn't suck I just said that see the Orwell fanboys reaction. With that said I never plan on reading the book or listening to the audiobook ever again. I'm not a fan of fiction, I don't like reading about people being tortured, and the overall tone of the book is depressing.
