"Still Think This Is An Idea?" - San Francisco Free-Speech Marchers, Police Violently Attacked

    https://www.zerohedge.com/political/...ttacked-antifa

A free speech rally organized by conservatives was overrun by several hundred counterprotesters - some holding Antifa flags - on Saturday in downtown San Francisco.
As The Epoch Times reports, a number of individuals from the counterprotester group physically attacked conservatives, including event organizer Philip Anderson, who lost a front tooth after he was punched in the mouth.

One man wearing a Trump T-shirt had to be taken away in an ambulance after being attacked.

A police officer also had to be taken to the hospital.

A photographer working for The Associated Press also witnessed an injured San Francisco police officer on the ground by San Francisco’s United Nations Plaza after the sergeant tried to prevent the attacks from counterprotesters.
Team Save America organized the rally to protest Twitter’s banning of a NY Post article alleging that Hunter Biden had set up a meeting for a Ukrainian businessman with his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, during the Obama administration. The Biden campaign as denied the allegations.
Members of the group wore “Make America Great Again” hats and carried U.S. flags. They also carried “Thin Blue Line” flags in support of law enforcement.
Anderson, posted photos and videos to social media of his bloody mouth with a front tooth missing and another hanging loosely. He said “Antifa” protesters attacked him “for no reason.”

Other scuffles broke out at the United Nations Plaza as well, with one video showing an alleged Antifa member hitting a person with something resembling a baseball bat. According to local media, at least one Trump supporter was taken away in an ambulance.

Videos posted on social media show loud activists trailing Anderson, chanting “Get the f**k out!” and “You’re not welcome here!” as the man was going to the stage. At one point, a black-clad man suddenly jumped on Anderson, delivering two powerful punches to his face.
San Francisco Police said several people, including three officers, were injured during the event. Officers suffered from pepper spray and “caustic chemicals,” according to a statement.

At the same time, RT reports that in Washington DC, a young Trump supporter claimed she was assaulted by Black Lives Matter activists for bringing a ‘Trump 2020’ flag to the Women’s March. Isabella DeLuca posted a photo of herself in a cervical collar with a bruised face and lip.
We give Anderson the last word...“I wanna ask you, do you still think, after seeing this, that they’re just an idea? Okay, I want you to answer that question, Joe Biden,”

As Jonathan Turley previously wrote, Antifa is indeed more of a movement than a specific organization, but it has members and associated groups. Indeed, it has long been the “Keyser Söze” of the anti-free speech movement, a loosely aligned group that employs measures to avoid easy detection or association. FBI Director Wray told Congress “And we have quite a number — and I’ve said this quite consistently since my first time appearing before this committee — we have any number of properly predicated investigations into what we would describe as violent anarchist extremists and some of those individuals self-identify with Antifa.”
My greatest concern is that we need to take Antifa seriously as a virulent anti-free speech organization. There is a fair criticism of politicians who have refused to denounce the group or even support it. Former Democratic National Committee deputy chair Keith Ellison, now the Minnesota attorney general, once said Antifa would “strike fear in the heart” of Trump. This was after Antifa had been involved in numerous acts of violence and its website was banned in Germany. His own son, Minneapolis City Council member Jeremiah Ellison, declared his allegiance to Antifa in the heat of the protests this summer. During the prior hearing, Democratic senators refused to clearly denounce Antifa and falsely suggested that the far right was the primary cause of recent violence. Likewise, Joe Biden has dismissed objections to Antifa as just “an idea.”
What is striking is how Antifa rhetoric has become so prevalent as people claim that the act of silencing others is not only commendable or even itself a form of free speech. NBC quotes counter protester Shagoofa Khan as proudly declaring “We actually kicked them out.”
A local resident named said Carole Selignan is quoted as saying “We don’t need those types of people in San Francisco” while Kristina Lee said that this was “working class solidarity against that rhetoric that’s divisive and pits the working class against one another.” It was in fact an effort to prevent opposing views and voices from being heard. It is an example how free speech is now treated as itself a threat. That is right out of the Antifa Handbook.
Rutgers Professor Mark Bray’s Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook discusses what Antifa calls “self-defense,” including violence against police or anyone deemed a fascist. In a Washington Post opinion editorial criticizing President Trump’s attacks on Antifa as “delegitimizing militant protest,” Bray stated:

“I believe it’s true that most, if not all, members do wholeheartedly support militant self-defense against the police and the targeted destruction of police and capitalist property that has accompanied it this week. I’m also confident that some members of antifa groups have participated in a variety of forms of resistance during this dramatic rebellion.”
Antifa rejects the very foundation for free speech. Indeed, Antifa Handbook starts with the following quote from Buenaventura Durruti: “fascism is not to be debated, it is to be destroyed.”

Is this country doing trans-racial surgeries now? Apparently a racist white man turned into a black man and led a pro-free-speech demonstration. Of course, free speech, meaning the freedom to say racist things.

On a real note, I really hope Antifa is getting paid to do all these violent things. Why? If they're not getting paid and just self-radicalizing, we have a really big problem on our hands. Isn't there an anti-Antifa Batman we can call on or something?

Will they prosecute that black guy? Blood can be contaminated and I bet he got some on at least one person. He should have been wearing his mask properly.

Exclamation Black free speech protester called "niggger", has his teeth knocked out by AntiFa Marxists

Antifa Knocks Out Black Man’s Teeth for Holding Free Speech Rally While Calling Him ‘N’ Word

An Antifa counter-protester in San Francisco knocked out the front teeth of a black man who organized the Free Speech Rally and Protest on Saturday. People in the crowd can be heard yelling racial slurs at the man.

Shortly before a Free Speech Rally and Protest in San Francisco, event organizer Philip Anderson can be seen in a video tweeted by Chester Belloc helping a white man walk through an angry counter-protest filled with Antifa anarchists. As they walk through the crowd, a man wearing all black (black bloc) comes up from behind Anderson and punches him in the face.

    — ChesterBelloc (@GKCinspiredCSL) October 17, 2020

Anderson recoils from the hit and holds his ear and jaw. A few seconds later, the man moves in again and punches Anderson in the mouth — knocking out his two front teeth. A woman in the background can be heard taunting Anderson, yelling, “Cry about it. Cry about it.”

The predominantly white Antifa crowd can be heard screaming the “N” word multiple times. “Back up ‘N,’ back up ‘N,’ someone in the crowd yells as Anderson tries to escape the attack. Anderson and the white man he was protecting eventually climb over the police barricade and move to safety behind the police.

Anderson went on to speak at his rally which broke down a short time later when the angry mob became more radicalized and police believed they were no longer safe. Officer eventually packed the Free Speech protesters into a police van and drove them away in a high-speed escape, Breitbart News reported.

From the backseat of the van, Anderson tweeted, “Antifa attacked me for no reason. These people are racist terrorists.”

Later, from a hospital bed, Anderson tweeted a message to former Vice President Joe Biden who famously said “Antifa is an idea” during the presidential debate with President Donald Trump on September 29.

“I have a question for you, Joe Biden,” Anderson said in a tweeted video. “Do you still think Antifa is just an idea? This is what the ‘idea’ you’re talking about, Antifa, this is what they did to me.” He held up his knocked out tooth while a second tooth hangs by a thread.

“I want you to answer that question, Joe Biden,” he continued. “Is Antifa just an idea?”

Could victims of violence at an organized rally sue the organization for damages? I know BLM is organized- if I was hurt or had damages as a result of their members why would they not be liable?

I’m not sure if Antifa is organized, but there has to be some central planning involved there- whether it’s certain key individuals or donors?

In the case of the shooting in Denver, I believe that the media outlet whose hired gun murdered someone also organized the Antifa protest. It doesn’t get more blatant than that.

That was confusing to me. I think that the Media contracted with Pinkerton for the guard. I would think that the liability would lie on Pinkerton.

Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

On Saturday, the San Francisco Police Department responded to a report of an assault near City Hall at a conservative-organized protest against Big Tech. Authorities met with “Team Save America” free speech organizer Philip Anderson. The black 25-year-old victim was punched in the face by a masked male assailant wearing tactical gloves who called him a racial slur. Philip lost two teeth and was left bloodied. Far-left protesters accused the rally of being fascist.

35-year-old Androa “Dro” Anderson, of Watsonville, Cal., was taken into custody in Oakland the day after the assault and transported to San Francisco County Jail where he was booked on charges of mayhem with a hate crime enhancement.
    ...
Philip is most upset that his accounts on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram were terminated hours after the assault. “I’m the victim and I get banned? They erased my existence.” He says he plans to organize another protest against Big Tech.

He should either get some private security or learn some practical self defense if he plans to be present on those front lines. When the opponent cannot beat you with fists they choose more lethal weapons. Losing teeth could be viewed as a minor inconvenience over death. I wish this man well. This battle should not be fought in the streets. This will end up being a legal issue. Meanwhile, all the crime and violence needs to end. There is terror on US streets.
