Not feeling well 103.4* temperature last night

About a week ago I was not feeling well for about 3 days. My wife kept assuring me I didn't feel hot or have a fever. Last evening, I was once again not feeling well. She took her gentle hands and touched my ears and said one was warmer than the other. I went to sleep and was awoken to a dose of theraflu and wet towels on my face and thermometer in my mouth. I had a temp of 103.4. This morning my temperature is normal. Anybody else been sick like this?

Get well. Glad that temp came down. Any other symptoms?

    Hope you get well soon.

Not really. A week or more ago I had body aches and a headache. Right now maybe a little sluggish but not what I would call feeling sick. I don't think fevers like that just come and then go away that fast. I can't help but wonder the underlying cause of the fever.

Maybe your body just had to heat up to kill the virus.

My Temperature has been hovering around 100 all day. Not feeling terrible but not good either. I like the alcohol and bath idea but I swore of alcohol a long time ago.

A toddy. Whiskey, honey, lemon juice and ginger root, brought to a boil. It'll cure what's ailing you.

I guess if you are ill, feeling worse at night is to be expected.

At night, there is less cortisol in your blood. As a result, your white blood cells readily detect and fight infections in your body at this time, provoking the symptoms of the infection to surface, such as fever, congestion, chills, or sweating. Therefore, you feel sicker during the night.

I always wondered about that. I figured it was just because I wasn't staying so busy I forgot about being sick and my mind remembered when I laid down. If that makes sense...

Drink some booze, eat some soup, get some rest and try not to think about being sick (the booze will help with that) and get well soon.

Could be malaria or syphilis . Either way I'd do a jigger of 100 proof bourbon before you go see the medic and tell 'em you were on R & R with Danke

Hopefully you have been taking Vitamin C, D and Zinc.

Do you have an oximeter at home? That is more important than temperature with COVID-19. If oxygen levels drop, you need treatment, probably a steroid. HCQ with Zinc and Zpac (anti-inflammatory antibiotic) might if you have a confirmed case.

Pulse Oximeters are usually available at your drug store. You can get them at Amazon for $17-$30.
