The moderator said she was non partisan and then started talking about "Our Democracy."
Whenever a Democrat or Republican talks about "our democracy", never take them seriously.

The Founding Fathers hated democracy. The Constitution is inherently an anti-democratic document. It's entire purpose is to constrain majorities from terrorizing minorities.

There are two types of Democracies. Direct Democracy (Traditionally called Democracies) and Representative Democracies (Traditionally called Republics). Both are Democracies therefore we have a Democracy. BUT, we also have a Bill of Rights (Limited Government) and a Federal System (Divided Power). Both being much more important for our Liberty than Majority Rule.
