Oh the humanity.

Outside Atlanta’s swanky Biltmore Ballrooms hotel, masses of protesters faced off with police officers wielding tear gas canisters and riot shields enforcing a 9 p.m. curfew on a sweltering spring evening after another day of chaotic demonstrations.

Inside the Midtown Atlanta venue, White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and dozens of guests snacked on cookie dough treats and packed the dance floor as the curfew took effect.

The lavish May 31 wedding that Meadows hosted for his daughter and the family’s nearest and dearest not only took place during a statewide ban on gatherings of more than 10 people. It also defied a 9 p.m. curfew the city of Atlanta put in place after mass protests following the death of George Floyd.
