"I actually agree with this. Too much income disparity. Changes must be made, and soon!" 8/1/2020

The tweet links to a Business Insider video. I couldn't find the direct link on BI but it's on their twitter - I watched the first 3 minutes which basically says:
    1) the rich are getting richer, the poor are getting poorer
    2) Federal Reserve low interest rates have fueled the stock market rise, mainly benefiting the rich
    3) TARP bank bailout benefited the rich

    Need I remind you:
    https://www.politifact.com/factcheck...bailout-club-/
On Larry King Live on April 15, 2009, King asked Trump his opinion of Obama and Trump turned to the bailout in part of his answer:

"I do agree with what they're doing with the banks. Whether they fund them or nationalize them, it doesn't matter, but you have to keep the banks going," Trump said.

So you just have to wonder... if Trump says something and a Democrat says it later, doesn't that mean the Democrat "agrees" with Trump and will get shunned by their minions?
Perhaps he is just stealing their fire, boxing in their narrative.

Nah. They'll just ignore that Trump agreed with them and his base will ignore that as well.

And of course every bit of that is true. I LOL at "conservatives" like Candace Owens who say "The government doesn't make money." That's only "true" in the sense that the Federal Reserve is quasi government.

Trump needs to let go of his inner Bernie Sanders.

Better yet, stop pretending that he was ever anything other than a NY liberal who supported the Clintons, Pelsoi, Reid and Schummer with thousands in campaign donations. And btw, the inverse is not true, he was never a big donor to the republican party. Just the National democratic party, I made sure to mention that because I bet someone was going to bring up the idea/excuse that he donated to liberals because NY was run by liberals.

I’d wager that Trump only read the headline, and I guarantee he didn't watch that whole 8 minute video. As usual, identifying problems and inequalities is easy. Solutions much harder. And some of the solutions offered were good, others Bernie-bad.

If libertarians were able to succinctly explain that the FED benefits those with exposure to assets (the rich) and hurts those without expsoure (the poor) - we'd have a winning message.
