Exclamation To All Military Past and Present

As an important reminder when donating, please put in the occupation section your current military status whether that is active duty, guard, reserve, or veteran. Since I am currently employed and a vet my submission will look like this.

    Code:
    Computer Programmer / USAF Veteran
This will show McCain at the end of the quarter which candidate the troops really support!

I am a USAR (Army Reserve) veteran. I never thought about putting that. My husband is active duty though, and for the donations in my name I did say "wife of Active duty soldier."

I don't know if they could use that information, but I figured it couldn't hurt.

Would you suggest family members stating that? If so, only spouses or any immediate family? For example if his mother donated she could say nurse/ mother of active duty soldier.

If you are a Reserve Veteran yes, otherwise no. People not in the military should not put in there that they are military.

I've donated four times - today was the first time that I entered "US Army veteran" in the occupation field next to my current occupation.

There is nothing wrong with me putting USAF/C-17 Loadmaster. It is not against the UCMJ to donate to a candidate. As long as you do not show up to an event in uniform you should be fine.
