    The Tides Foundation NWO

There are many “conspiracy theories” about American billionaires, who use their billions to control politics and/or philanthropy.
The Tides Foundation unfortunately doesn’t get much attention from our wonderful media and is more interesting than Rockefeller, George Soros, the Koch brothers and Sheldon Adelson together.

Now there are some stories on the Tides Foundation funding some “hated” left wing groups, but Tides is much bigger than the backing of only 1 or 2 groups...

From 2001 to 2018 the Tides Foundation had a total revenue (most of it coming from donations) of $2.6 billion ($143 million per year on average) and paid grants in total of $2.2 billion ($123 million per year on average).
In 2018, the Tides Foundation paid out $291 million in grants...
That kind of money buys a lot of influence!

The San Francisco based tax exempt Tides Foundation was founded in 1976 by Drummond Pike to funnel grants to “centre-left nonprofits”, while the donors have an advisory role in its grant making.
So basically the donors have a say in where their money goes to, while the grants are labelled as coming from Tides.
Initial funding for the Tides Foundation came from Jane Lehman, heiress to the Reynolds tobacco fortune and ex-president of the Arca Foundation.

The Tides Foundation is the most important of a group of “Tides” named entities in the Tides network. The Tides Center is also important.

The donor list of Tides includes the elite of the world, including:
    The Pew Charitable Trust (of the family of Sun Oil);
    The Ford Foundation;
    Open Society Institute (of George Soros);

    Carnegie Corporation;
    Rockefeller Foundations/Funds.

The Tides Foundation has been accused of funnelling millions of dollars from American donors to block the joint U.S.-Canadian Keystone XL pipeline.

The Tides Foundation also receives regular grants from a number of nonprofits associated with for-profit investment companies, including Fidelity Investments Charitable Gift Fund and Vanguard Charitable Endowment Program. Vanguard and Fidelity are of course some of the largest investment funds in the world that completely control the world economy.
Fidelity Charitable is the largest charitable grant making organisation in the United States (before nr. 2 the Gates Foundation).

The Tides Foundation and affiliated Tides Center also received millions from the US government (paid for by the American taxpayer): https://www.influencewatch.org/non-p...es-foundation/

I’m no supporter of the Keystone XL pipeline, which is now being built after being approved by president Donald, but financing opposition to this is one of the few Tides scandals that has gotten some media attention (and is an interesting story, wait for the punchline!).

The (American) Tides Foundation and Tides Canada (founded in Canada) receive funding from other donors and then pass the money on to various organisations. Tides is not required to reveal which donors provide funding for the various grants to conceal which donors are funding what causes and groups.

Pew Charitable Trusts funnelled $42.6 through Tides million for grants to Ducks Unlimited, as part of the campaign against Keystone XL.
Part of what Ducks Unlimited does is, like Tides, passing through funds. Its main activity is hunting ducks (sure you could call that nature preservation).

Now here it gets really strange, in a scheme that looks like some sort of money laundering (using tax exempt foundation).
In March 2009, Pew gave Ducks Unlimited $4.4 million, partly to be re-granted to the Boreal Songbird Initiative, which is a project of the Pew Environment Group”. So in short, Pew donated to Ducks Unlimited that was funnelled back to Pew: https://capitalresearch.org/article/...e-xl-pipeline/

Rockefeller that has gotten most of its billions from oil is one of the funders of the Tides Foundation to oppose Keystone XL.
The Pew Charitable Trusts was founded by Joseph Pew and his heirs, who got rich from Sun Oil, now Sunoco. Sunoco’s Canadian subsidiary, Suncor, runs the second largest operations in Alberta's tar sands.

Why would big oil oppose the destruction of nature by big oil?
It looks like the Pew Charitable Trusts uses front groups to counter the demands of the “genuine” environmental groups, a scheme that is sometimes called “controlled opposition”.

According to US-based author Alex Cockburn:
In its initial National Forest Campaign, Pew demanded that recipients of grant money agree to focus their attention on government actions; corporate wrongdoers were not to be named. This extreme plan was modified after some recipients balked.

In one of those strange “coincidences”, one of the best known “conspiracy theorists” in the world - David Icke – is affiliated to the elite funded Tides Foundation, through his “Freedom Foundation” that was administered by the International Humanities Center (IHC).
In 2005, one of the top donors of the IHC was the Tides Foundation (with $55,000).

See David Icke and his ex-wife showing their love for Freemasonry...

The Pew Charitable Trust (of the family of Sun Oil), between 1990 and 2002 donated $118 million to Tides.
The Ford Foundation provided $36 million between 1989 and 2005.
George Soros’ Open Society Institute donated $15.7 million (1997-2003).
Carnegie Corporation contributed $2.3 million (1992-2002).

    Rockefeller Foundation gave $2.9 million (1993-2002);
    Rockefeller Brothers Fund gave $1.9 million (1993-2003), plus $250,000 in 2005;
    Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisers gave $372,300 (1997-2001);
Rockefeller Family Fund donated $175,000 (1991-2001).

Between 1995 and 2001, the Tides Foundation also received some $6 million from Heinz Endowments, run by Teresa Heinz Kerry, the wife of Skull & Bones man Senator John Kerry, who ran for president “against” George W. Bush in 2004

Joanie Bronfman sits on the Tides Foundation’s Board of Directors.
Bronfman is of course a member of the notorious family, an “heiress to the Seagram whiskey fortune”.

In 2006, the donors of the IHC were again very interesting.
Topping the list was a Laurance Rockefeller, who donated $899,000 to the IHC.

Before becoming IHC Executive Director, Steve Sugarman had been Executive Director of Social & Environmental Entrepreneurs (SEE). The SEE Program was founded in 1994 by the EarthWays Foundation. The EarthWays Foundation was established in 1988 by Andrew Beath. EarthWays’ financial connections are also interesting.
In 1998, EarthWays received $50,000 from the Rockefeller Foundation and another $42,837 in 2000.
EarthWays also received “$10,000 or more” from Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, between 2002 and 2004.

Another EarthWays project, The Atomic Mirror (TAM) is also associated to the Rockefeller “philanthropies”.
In 2005 TAM was a participant in “The People Speak: America’s Role in the World” organised by the United Nations Foundation, with additional backing from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and the Brookings Institution: http://www.paranoiamagazine.com/2013...om-foundation/

In 2012, the International Humanities Center (IHC) collapsed in which (mostly small) donors reportedly lost $1 million (where did the money go?): https://www.npr.org/2012/02/14/14688...=1591461980470

In 2010, the Tides Foundation donated $2 million and Hewlett Foundation another $1.3 million to the Wikimedia Foundation for “general operating support”.
Wikimedia Foundation of course collects donations for the heavily censored Wikipedia...

In 2011, the Stanton Foundation made the largest grant in Wikimedia’s history (at the time), donating $3.6 million, to hire a “Wikipedian in Residence” at Harvard to edit Wikipedia articles on “politically-sensitive” points of view. Tim Sandole, who was hired for this “noble cause”, spoke at an event for Barack Obama’s re-election campaign, which violates the prohibition on political campaigning by non-profit charities.

Hewlett and Tides have also both funded the New Venture Fund: https://thegarynullshow.podbean.com/2018/09/

Here’s another strange example of Tides donating to another tax-exempt “foundation” – Hewlett – that is also a top donor to the Tides Foundation.

Hewlett received $230,959 from Tides in 2016.

From 2000 to 2015 among the top 6 recipients of the Hewlett Foundation are the Tides Foundation (that received $24,178,370) and the Tides Canada Foundation (that received another $14,054,864): http://leftexposed.org/2016/01/the-hewlett-foundation/
    (http://archive.is/glfRM)

The Hewlett Foundation, formally the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, was founded in 1966 by Hewlett-Packard cofounder William Redington Hewlett and his wife Flora Lamson Hewlett. With assets of some $10 billion, it is one of the wealthiest grant makers in the USA.

The largest recipients of grants from the Hewlett Foundation are (many working on the “problem” of overpopulation):
National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy – $60.2 million
International Development Research Centre - $57.1 million
Planned Parenthood (Worldwide and America) - $50.2 million

Stichting Hivos (founded and headquartered in the Netherlands) - $28.8 million
Center for Global Development - $26 million

The Tides Center is relatively low on the list with “only” $8.6 million: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hewlett_Foundation

I guess that most people don’t even realise what could be so wrong with a tax-exempt foundation that funnels money to “charities” to obscure the origins of the grants.
Here are 2 genuine scandals of a sister organisation of Tides, ACORN, which gives a glimpse on what evil lurks behind “charity”...

The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) was founded by Wade Rathke. Rathke is also a long-time Board member of the Tides Foundation since 1976 (and other Tides related organisations). Wade Rathke is also the good friend of Tides founder Drummond Pike.
ACORN also received funding from the Tides Foundation.

See ACORN founder Wade Rathke (left) and his buddy, Tides founder Drummond Pike (right) in Peru (standing in front of a poster of Che Guevara and Fidel Castro).

In 2000, ACORN found out that Wade’s brother, Dale Rathke (who died in 2014), had embezzled $948,507.50 from ACORN in 1999 and 2000. Instead of filing charges against the thief they settled the case with the Rathke family to repay the money.

The agreement between ACORN and the Rathkes was registered as a “loan” from Citizens Consulting Inc.
In 2008, Drummond Pike anonymously bought the loan from the affiliate, according to e-mail messages between senior executives at ACORN.
It took until the summer of 2008, that ACORN whistleblowers leaked the story to the press that Dale Rathke had embezzled nearly $1 million from ACORN (Dale Rathke had continued to be an ACORN board member all this time): http://archive.is/muvBp

In September 2009, another scandal marked the end of ACORN.
Independent filmmaker James O'Keefe and activist Hannah Giles pose as a pimp and a prostitute and secretly videotape ACORN employees giving them advice on evading taxes and establishing a brothel with underage girls.

After this Congress stops millions in government funding.
ACORN shut down on 1 April 2010.

In 1992, none other than later US president Barack Obama headed the Project Vote campaign in Chicago, affiliated with ACORN, which helped get Carol Moseley Braun elected to the US Senate.
Obama later represented ACORN when it sued Illinois for violating federal polling laws: https://theweek.com/articles/496396/fall-acorn-timeline

In 2008, Barack Obama paid $832,598 to the ACORN-affiliated Citizens Services Inc. for “sound & lighting equipment” (for his campaign?!). According to ACORN, they only received $30,000 of this money (still a lot of cash for some “equipment”).

In 1999-2000, at the same time that Wade’s brother Dale Rathke embezzled almost $950,000 from ACORN, Obama was running for president, backed by SEIU Local 880 and ACORN.

SEIU Local 880 is basically ACORN controlled. ACORN founder Wade Rathke even signed as SEIU Local 880 "Treasurer" in 2000: https://sorendayton.com/is-obama-con...ement-scandal/

Citizens Services Inc. is registered at the same address as ACORN (just like a bunch of other shell companies)...

See some of the links from ACORN to Obama’s inner circle, including Citizens Services Inc., Tides and Anna Burger.

Even though the Tides Foundation heavily funded ACORN; they claimed that “none of their money ever went to ACORN”: https://flutemandy.wordpress.com/pos...hush-up-again/

In February 2009, Anna Burger was appointed as a member to President Obama’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board to provide advice and counsel in the economic crash.

In 1972, Burger started her career as a union activist in the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 668. Burger later was elected as Local 668's first female president.
the SEIU and ACORN have long worked closely together, with the union paying the association more than $3.6 million in the past three years and sharing some office locations and leaders with the group” with the SEIU D.C. headquarters paying ACORN for training, voter registration and other organizing work.
On 27 September 2007, Anna Burger, John Podesta, and Andrew Stern emailed an interesting memo on the strategy in the coming Obama campaign to several controversial billionaires - George Soros, Peter Lewis, Herb and Marion Sandler, Steve Bing, John Sperling, and Michael Vachon: http://www.discoverthenetworks.com/i...asp?indid=2445
    (http://archive.is/r9yzu)

Anna Burger was also Vice Chair of the Obama-affiliated Democracy Alliance.
See (part of) the network of the George Soros controlled Democracy Alliance.

Tides Foundation founder Drummond Pike is part of the Democracy Alliance.

Tides Foundation directors Joanie Bronfman (of the infamous Bronfman family) and Quinn Delaney were on Barack Obama’s Inaugural Committee: https://romanticpoet.wordpress.com/t...ma-connection/

Maybe the following doesn’t add much to what is already in this thread, but it is a good overview story on the Tides Foundation (there aren’t many good stories on Tides).
In practice, “Tides” behaves less like a philanthropy than a money-laundering enterprise (apologies to Procter & Gamble), taking money from other foundations and spending it as the donor requires. Called donor-advised giving, this pass-through funding vehicle provides public-relations insulation for the money’s original donors. By using Tides to funnel its capital, a large public charity can indirectly fund a project with which it would prefer not to be directly identified in public. Drummond Pike has reinforced this view, telling The Chronicle of Philanthropy: “Anonymity is very important to most of the people we work with.”
    (…)

When Ben & Jerry’s announced that profits from its popular “Rainforest Crunch” ice cream flavor were earmarked for save-the-earth charities, the mass media swooned. What they didn’t tell you was that 20% of the cut went directly to the Tides Foundation.
    (…)

The Tides Foundation and Tides Center continue to build their activist war chest by exacting an 8 to 9 percent “handling fee” on funds that pass through on their way to other activists. Some monies are awarded as “grants” in the traditional fashion (according to “donor-advised” agreements). It’s impossible to know for sure whose money is being spent for which of these grants. Other funds go toward management services to existing activist organizations in return for a percentage of their gross revenues.

In still other examples, the Tides Center offers financial and administrative support for start-up advocacy groups. In this last case, the Tides Center offers a sort of blanket tax-exempt designation for its grantees and projects. The entire foundation (pun intended) on which the Tides Center is built depends on the notion that the law allows one tax-exempt group to “lend” its exemption to another organization.
    https://activistfacts.com/organizati...-tides-center/
    (http://archive.is/ZMrqu)

Apparently the tax-exempt Tides Foundation makes a huge profit from the hundreds of millions of dollars that go through it per year. 8% of $291 million (for 2018) is $23.3 million
Where did all this money go - to its board members and other employees?!?

If you’ve ever looked into 9/11 “conspiracies” you must have found out that all of the best known “9/11 truthers” leave out the best information and instead make allegations without the needed "evidence".
One of the better known 9/11-forums is Letsrollforums.com. Letsrollforums.com is the third forum where I have been a member that has been taken down since the coronavirus “pandemic” was started (after the “old” Forum.davidicke.com and Rechtenforum.nl).

Project Censored has been funded by the Stern Family Fund and the Tides Foundation that still feature prominently on its website: https://www.projectcensored.org/why-...ject-censored/
    (http://archive.is/qiT7d)

Project Censored is chaired by Peter Martin Phillips, who became “famous” for writing about the Bohemian Grove.

(Former) “9/11 truther” Abby Martin was a director of Project Censored.
See Abby Martin and Alex Jones at Bilderberg 2008.

Before becoming a Project Censored “conspiracy theorist”, Abby worked on the 2004 campaign for John Kerry (the Bonesman selected to get the much hated Bush Jr. re-elected).

After leaving Project Censored, Abby Martin continued her career in disinformation for RT (Kremlin-funded Russia Today) from 2012 to 2015: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abby_Martin

Following is a huge overview on some of the large slush funds that support “philanthropy” (Tides features prominently and it also includes some of the other NGO’s mentioned in this thread) and the media controlled through these “philanthropic” organisations: https://isgp-studies.com/liberal-cia-ngo-network

    From the previous link...

In 1989, Boudewijn Poelmann and his wife founded the Nationale Postcode Loterij in the Netherlands, the second largest private funder of “philanthropy” in the whole wide world (in 2018)...
These “charities” include founding green energy companies!

Before founding the Postcode Loterij, in 1983, Poelmann had founded Novamedia.
These days Novamedia also runs lotteries in Sweden, Norway, Germany and the UK.

From 2005 to 2016 the wonderful Clinton Foundation received more than 24 million Euros (more than 2 million a year).
Making the Kingdom of the Netherlands (by far) the largest foreign donor to the Clinton Foundation.

The Postcode Loterij has financed the Russian disinformation site Bellingcat with €500.000 to open an office in the Netherlands.

The Stichting Doen (Foundation Doen), also controlled by Poelmann, is used to funnel money from and to selected “charities”.
When Poelmann owned a stake in the Feyenoord soccer club, he used the Stichting Doen to pay Feyenoord (5.75 million Euro per year) so the Qurrent green energy company of his daughter (owned by the Stichting Doen) was placed on the shirts its players wore.

The Doen Foundation also financed the NGO Milieu Offensief (Environmental Offensive) from 1992 to 1998 with 150,000 euros.
Milieu Offensief was the environmental NGO of Volkert van de Graaf, who is best known as the murderer of the Dutch politician Pim Fortuyn (who became a threat to the Dutch Royal degenerates).

You can imagine with all of his “charity” work, Boudewijn Poelmann became a multibillionaire, worth more than 60 million Euro, and was knighted by (then) Queen Beatrix in 2012.

In 1990, Boudewijn Poelmann also became chairman of third world press bureau Inter Press Service (IPS) Europe (also headquartered in my home town Amsterdam).
So in 1991, IPS received 4.2 million from the Postcode Loterij (in Dutch): http://archive.is/4hoBF

After the Dutch state network KRO reported on the obvious corrupt practices of Boudewijn Poelmann concerning Inter Press Service in 1999.
In one of those great examples of “freedom of the press” it was reprimanded for this report (in Dutch): http://archive.is/6kW9X

Just to illustrate what is happening, in 2015, the Postcode Loterij (together with the Bankgiro/vriendenloterij) had a turnover of €887 million.
Of this turnover €170 million was paid to its organisation (no doubt including Poelmann and his family) and “recruitment” (in Dutch): http://archive.is/6vcqG

Warren Buffett’s NoVo Foundation was (is?) the biggest donor to the Tides Foundation from 2003 to 2011?

Of course “human rights” charities are mostly used to change policies (supported by the biggest “civilised” human rights abusers).
Many of these “charities” push the LGBT agenda (as part of the depopulation agenda)...

The following lists the leading “Human Rights” donors in 2012 (including the Dutch Nationale Postcode Loterij and Hivos).

Open Society Foundations (George Soros) - $262.2 million
    Ford Foundation - $214.6 million
    W.K. Kellogg Foundation - $85.8 million
Comic Relief UK - $80.4 million
Vanguard Charitable Endowment Program (of the second largest investment fund in the world) - $80.2 million

National Endowment for Democracy (CIA front) - $78.4 million
    Atlantic Philanthropies - $70.4 million
Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation - $64.5 million
    Oak Foundation - $53.5 million
NoVo Foundation (Warren Buffett) - $44.9 million
John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation - $44.1 million

    Tides Foundation - $32.6 million
American Jewish World Service - $29.4 million
    Hivos - $29.2 million
Nationale Postcode Loterij - $27.9 million

Sigrid Rausing Trust - $27.9 million
    Freedom House - $26.5 million
    California Endowment - $25.4 million
Public Welfare Foundation - $22.5 million
    NEO Philanthropy - $19.2 million: http://foundationcenter.issuelab.org...1942/21942.pdf

Here’s an interesting NGO - Girls not brides - that was founded and is chaired by Mabel Wisse Smit (widow of Prince Friso of the Netherlands) in 2011. It was founded through the Elders (that Mabel once chaired, she is still on its Advisory Council).
I couldn’t find information on the amount paid to Mabel for all of this “philanthropy”.

Some say that it’s hypocritical to “lobby” against girl brides; while the Netherlands at the same time imports child brides under the guise of family reunion (naturally mass migration is also part of the “human rights” lobby!).

Here are some of the biggest funders of Girls not brides.

The Dutch government (through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
The Canadian government (through the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development)

    The Ford Foundation

Google.org & ISD will work together to “Counter Hate and Extremism” in the UK.
This is part of Google.org’s wider commitment to pledge $5 million to solve “hate and extremism” around the world (this sounds so much better than “censorship”!).
