On Wednesday, the Douglasville Police Department identified a black female who has allegedly been sending her neighbors racially-charges notes since December.
Police identified Terresha Lucas, a 30-year-old African-American female, as the suspect behind the notes, charging her with eight counts of making terroristic threats, according to a police statement.
Police said that residents of Manning Drive in Georgia began receiving notes in December from a person claiming to be a member of the Ku Klux Klan. "Lucas allegedly described herself as a six-feet-tall white male with a long, red beard who did not live in the neighborhood," the police statement said.
On December 21, residents of two homes on Manning Drive received notes in their mailboxes that Detective Nathan Shumaker described as racially-motivated. He said the notes were dropped in their mailboxes as night, and were discovered the next morning.
"The notes threatened to burn their houses down and kill them and said that they didn't belong in the neighborhood," he said.
"Subsequent notes with similar verbiage were placed in residents' mailboxes on Feb. 17, Feb. 22, March 1 and March 3. After a six-month absence, the final note was placed on Sept. 6. Shumaker said there were likely more notes written," the police statement said.
According to CBS46, the notes were received by at least seven black people who lived in the neighborhood. The notes reportedly contained the N-word and talked about hanging people and killing kids.
"By mid-March, we really didn't have anything to go on," Shumaker said.
Detectives at that point had determined that the letters had similar handwriting, tone and verbiage with some "distinctive letters that were consistent throughout."
On Labor Day, police received evidence linking the notes to the house of Lucas, with detectives being able to obtain a search warrant. Detectives were able to find other evidence linking the suspect to the incidents when they carried out that warrant.
"Lucas is expected to turn herself in to authorities this week," the statement concluded.

ECU student arrested for fake racist fraternity party invite

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - An officer for another fraternity has been arrested in connection with a fake racist social media post promoting a rush party.
Greenville police said they have arrested James Edwards IV, 19, on a charge of cyberstalking.
Police began investigating after a post on the app “Yik Yak” that invited people to a Theta Chi rush party that stipulated “No blacks.”
Investigators said they determined that Edwards has no affiliation with Theta Chi and that he is a member of another ECU fraternity.
The Theta Chi fraternity quickly denied back in August that their members were responsible for the post.
ECU said Edwards is a current student at the university with political science listed as his intended major.
Pi Lambda Phi’s website lists him as vice president of recruitment for the fraternity.
When reached by telephone Monday afternoon, Edwards told WITN “no comment” until he gets a lawyer.

The Black Student Union and others on campus at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville recently started a petition and protested in order to try to get the University to expel two white students for allegations of racism and death threats.
Here was the Change.org petition they launched with that goal in mind, along with one of the signs (language warning) they said the white students made:
The problem, as you can already guess, is that these students were completely innocent and it looks like the "victim" faked the crime herself.
This from the College Fix:
Illinois law enforcement announced Friday that Kaliyeha Clark-Mabins, a black female college student, will be charged with three counts of disorderly conduct for filing a false police report.
Kevin Schmoll, the chief of police for Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, made the announcement on Friday. The College Fix had started asking questions about the investigation last week.
The notes said "DIE B****" and "BLACK PEOPLE DON'T BELONG" according to charging documents provided to The Fix by the Madison County State's Attorney office.
"SIUE Police received [on January 23] a report of a hate crime involving the posting of hand-written notes on the door of a room in Woodland Residence Hall, along with an alleged anonymous text message thread from fall 2021 containing threatening and racially hostile content," campus Director of Media Relations Megan Wieser said in an email to The Fix. Police responded to reports of disorderly conduct and suspicious activity, according to the crime blotter.
The investigation included not just the campus police, but the "Madison County State's Attorney's Office and the U.S. Secret Service," the email said. The investigation cleared two white students falsely accused of involvement, Amanda Jerome and Jimmi Thull.
So, these two white students were framed for a racist attack. Their names were on the news, there was a petition started to remove them from schools, their lives were made a living hell, and it was all made up.
The Secret Service even got involved, going as far as to conduct handwriting analysis!
The "victim" was charged with filing a false police report when it was discovered that she filed the charges knowing they were false.
Meaning, she probably did this to herself. Or if she didn't she knew who did and knew that it wasn't a racist threat like she claimed.
Jussie Smollet and LeBron James would be proud.

Santa Barbara Junior High Student Allegedly Called Racial Slurs, Assaulted by Other Students
Incident Occurred During Class, Mother of Student Speaks Out at S.B. Unified Board Meeting
A parent in the Santa Barbara Unified School District said during public comment Tuesday that her son was called the “n-word” by other students during class at Santa Barbara Junior High. The students also allegedly kneeled on his head and neck while saying, “George Floyd.”
Santa Barbara Unified responded with a ParentSquare message Tuesday night: “We stand with [the parent] in condemnation of any act of violence on our campuses, in this case hate violence related to a student’s race.”
The boy’s mother (whose name is being withheld at this time to protect the identity of the student) said there have been several incidents of racism against her son by other students, but the most recent incident occurred in the classroom, with students taunting her son with racist name-calling. Then, she said the students began wrestling, which escalated to the other students pinning her son down, kneeling on his neck, and saying, “George Floyd.” The mother contacted the administration, but the only response she got was from the school’s principal, Arielle Curry.
“I feel very unsupported at school right now, and I demand a change take place in schools immediately,” she said.
The message from the district claimed there would be a full investigation into the incident, and that appropriate action had already been taken with the students in question.
Several community members spoke in support of the boy’s mother, calling on the district to take a more active role in educating students about racism and to do more to prevent incidents like this from occurring.
Calls to the principal and superintendent were not returned as of press time. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.

As long as we are prosecuting "hate crimes", shouldn't these fake hate crimes be prosecuted as "hate crimes" against the group of people they are faking toward (usually straight/white people)?
